So what you are saying, is striving to make a game changing play is punishable by banishment? I'm sure turAy is being hard enough on himself, you. Would have never jumped there, we all know that, but the colts for whatever reason we're unable to secure a contract for you.....

Honestly I don’t understand where you’re getting at with this one.  Before the snap, I’m more than sure all of the veterans and players communicated to one another to stay disciplined.  Turay clearly ignored that.  I just don’t think it was a team ball play by him, who JUST came back late into the season

  2. After a few hours of vodka, I am now looking forward to solutions...We have too good of a team to tank.  Trade for Zeke maybe? I don't know who we could give up for him, but I'm not ready to give up this season.  This will truly be a year, where our success will be based on not just a couple players, but a collective team effort.  What do we do, other than fold our **** tails?  I'm all in on Brissett

P.S. Shame on those who booed the man

Not saying he’s anywhere close to  Manning, but Peyton didn’t have a good rookie year either...

They definitely did not give the kid a real shot.  Threw him in the fire, with no real support

I remember last year when Kenny Moore made some kind of costly special teams blunder. (Don't remember now what it was).....But I was so upset with him, I wanted him off the team right then and there. He went to the sideline dejected, and Pagano put his arm around him in an encouraging way , as if to say, "Keep your head up, forget about it."

Often times fans (myself included) are the worst judges of players because of emotions.

Good coaches know who to be patient with, and how to best bring out those players' potential.

I would say if Pagano left anything at all, it would be how well he developed our secondary (minus Wilson *Mike Mitchell deserves that credit)

  5. I have to admit that Kenny Moore really got after it, and proved me wrong this season.  The Moore I see him, the better he looks.(See what I did there?)  It took me till the final game to see it, but I just couldn't get comfortable with him being our #1.  I was just iffy, but game after game and the way he broke on that bubble screen Sunday sold me on the kid.  He and a lot of our secondary deserves a lot of credit for their play this season.:applause:

Hines hasn’t shown an ability to run between the tackles, OR kick it to the outside. He needs to improve ASAP. Wilkins meanwhile has shown an ability to run between the tackles, but when the line ain’t pushing like today, not much there.

Mack is still the most reliable in my eyes and we’re gonna need him to be healthy if the rooks can’t push it.

This is how I feel as well.  Mack has best of both worlds.  It's up to the backs to know whether to run between tackles or make a bounce to the outside.  I need to see more of this from both Hines and Wilkins

You can't put all the blame on the backs. The line wasn't great tonight and it's not as easy as a play design being up the middle and, if the space isn't there, bounce outside.

I don't disagree that the run game was poor but it's hard to argue with the fact our running backs and offensive line talent has been upgraded this year. Let's see what it looks like once our playbook is opened up.

I do agree with what you said.  It is just as much as the lines responsibility to block for these guys.  I just think Gore or Mack would have found some creases or cut back lanes; with how natural/instinctful they are.  I don't see that from the rest of the crew.  Hines being the most surprising disappointment, and Wilkins just needs a mentor.  Something we don't have anymore.

After fat trimming day, I surely hope Ballard add some guys to this Oline.  We can only benefit from that

  8. After a couple years and 3 preseason games, I am frustrated in seeing how our backs run the ball.   Minus Gore and Mack, it seems our backs like running straight into defensive bodies.

The trait I like most about Mack is that he is not afraid to change directions.  This is why he broke off big runs.  Now I understand the North and south rule, but I am tired off seeing our backs running too safe.  Am I the only one who notices this?

I would like to see more of a risky run style from our backs is all, instead of just POWER POWER POWER...We need some finesse

  9. I would absolutely do it everytime i’d get a chance to, if it’s smart.  It is not wise to try and nurse a previous injury, because in most cases you end up re injuring yourself.  Great example are how Pagano and the staff kept guys in previous years on a short leash, and look how many ended up getting hurt anyways.  If the player/the doc. says their healthy, then it’s all or nothing at the point for me.

I mean I am all for giving him the shot but you do not put all the risk on someone who clearly keeps screwing up with a 2nd or 3rd round pick like you said.  A 7th or UDFA then yea sure.

Oh yea, I completely agree with where you’re coming from.  It just always goes back to whether the gamble will pay off or not.  Sometimes it will, and other times it will not.  There will always be a team willing to gamble before another organization.  If that will be the case with Callaway, then you lose out on a possible all pro (using the word loosely here lol) talent; waiting till the 7th.  I would be willing to gamble on him is all I am saying

Callaway?  As in the guy that just popped hot at the combine and has A LOT of baggage off the field.  He will be lucky to get drafted period.  We could get a lot of other guys before wasting a 2nd or 3rd on him.

Yes that Callaway, and people live and they learn.  Whether he learned had yet to be seen.  I am under the impression that he is being mentored by Antoio Brown, so why not?  He has the talent to be a good contributor.  If he don’t work out, then he just doesn’t work out.  We can easily choose someone who could not work out as well.  That’s just the name of the game.  It’s a gamble on anyone you take.
