Perhaps. You might be right. That’s why I said I might be misremembering. That was a really STRANGE year!By timing I meant most were on the Wentz train…until he fell apart. :^)

That's the thing. They haven't been good, so what exactly is being risked?
All of this talk of "who is going to replace him" seems to contradict the sentiment around the QB position the past few years, when people (myself included) were clamoring for better QB play every offseason. Hardly anybody was saying "well, who exactly are they going to replace Wentz with?"
And when AR was drafted, it was widely justified as a necessary swing for the fences move that also had potential downside if it failed. I don't see it much differently at GM. It could fail, but it could also help lift this team to a new level.
Apples and Oranges. But, nice try.

How many years ago was this?

In all honesty if someone had a list of:
1. Tom Brady
2. Joe Montana
3. Pat Mahomes
4. Peyton Manning
-I can see why, so no bigge. Having said that Joe Montana won 4 SBs, won 1 on a last minute drive, won 3 SB MVPs, and won 2 League MVPs. For the media or any fan that thinks Mahomes should leapfrog Joe needs heavy explaining to do there. He has nothing on Joe.
It's simply recency bias, IMO.

Two different styles of QB playing in two different types of NFL, IMO. Manning RAN the offense. Never saw him wear a wristband with the playlist on it.
Both great, both at the top in their play time.

Sadly, the beating he took over the years caught up with him.

I’m still giving the edge to Peyton on total career for now. Career stats mean something and Peyton had probably the 2nd best career of all time for a QB. I fully expect Mahomes to pass him eventually bc he is a brilliant player and an absolute gift to watch play. So was Peyton though and he revolutionized the position. Mahomes is likely going to be a top 5 all time and probably top 2 or 3 but he isn’t there yet. No matter what I’ve enjoyed watching both and even got to catch the tail end of Montana in SF and then the Chiefs. Consider us all very lucky to see this much greatness.
And then, there are those of us fortunate to have seen Unitas play. :^)

Chill out? I really don’t give a crap who wins. This game is zzz anyway.
Which is what lost them their last SB.
We’ll see.

It’s litterly a one score game and Kyle is calling the game like they are up 20.
Appears to be relying on the defense, and minimizing mistakes on offense.

Didn’t say it’s bad football. But, I don’t believe it’s what fans, the league or sponsors want to see in an event that’s billed as “super.”
