  1. My observations on the interview (FWIW):

—Mostly GM speak and platitudes (as expected)

—Unless I missed it, no mention of Minshew

    —MAC is likely gone

    —Dulin is a favorite

—Need more YAC … Bowers maybe?

—One of Stewart, Blackmon, Moore will likely not be back

—CB takes the responsibility for the team’s performance and QB issues during his tenure (FWIW)

    —Great relationship with Irsay

    Lose that hat

    Lose that tight shirt

    Love his cackle

Team travel plan includes a lot -  their own travel class, how their families are allowed to travel, the type of facilities they get in different cities - training, good, nutrition, how the team equipment travels along with the team and be ready for practice in New places, how their travel and family experience got impacted during a monsoon week or heavy snowfall week , how the same experience varies when the team needs to travel internationally - how the team adjusts for jet lag, sleep, food change, etc.,

so on.. you imagine every scenario that they go through during the season, and during off-season as well.

There's an Equipment team in every NFL franchise for transporting equipments - from helmet, pads, etc., to make stickers for different events such as cancer awareness week or military appreciation week, to prepare new jerseys and helmets fitting to the T on the first day the rookies arrive at the facility after the Draft, to have player requested custom stickers on Cleats, etc.,

    etc.,

It all adds up to the Player Experience.

LOL.  “The player experience.”  Spoiled children/millionaires.

While i don't totally agree with the article, I can understand some of their rankings.  The Colts had every chance to win their division and even get a top seed in the playoffs and they failed.  teir 3 sounds right.

I blame the Colts playoff failure on one person: Grover Stewart.  He chose to ingest one or more PED’s, and missed SIX games in mid-season.  There, I said it.

You shouldn't fall too much in love with 1 player. The great George Kittle was shut down with great defense by the Chiefs in the SB, Kelce was shut down for an entire half and once Greenlaw got banged up, his receptions went up. The great Marvin Harrison was shut down / diminished so many times in the playoffs, we all know that as Colts fans.

Bottom line, it is still a team sport. :)

Ok.  I can’t wait to peruse this board during and after the actual draft.  :spit:

  5. Unless the FO is willing to move up, the Colts will have no shot at Bowers.  Every GM in the league knows the value of a Kelce, Laporte, Kittle, et al.  He’ll be long gone.  Sad though, NONE of the Colts current TE’s will consistently help our young QB (and receiving corps) the way a Brock Bowers would.

No it couldn’t have happened to virtually any qb unless the qb missed a handoff. Calling a qb run play nowhere close to the goal line with no option to pass or pitch the ball was stupid, especially since AR was only a couple games removed from a prior KO.

If AR can only excel by running such reckless plays, the Colts better be planning for another short qb career.

    “Reckless” —really?

Sooo a lot of mocks are showing QBs taken 1-3, if Harrison Jr is there at 4, would you try to trade up with the Cards to get him and ball park, what would you be willing to give up? I’m thinking this years 1 & 4, next years 1 would at least be the starting point

No.  Regardless of his last name - don’t believe that move would be wise, given the cost.

That's the thing. They haven't been good, so what exactly is being risked?

All of this talk of "who is going to replace him" seems to contradict the sentiment around the QB position the past few years, when people (myself included) were clamoring for better QB play every offseason. Hardly anybody was saying "well, who exactly are they going to replace Wentz with?"

And when AR was drafted, it was widely justified as a necessary swing for the fences move that also had potential downside if it failed. I don't see it much differently at GM. It could fail, but it could also help lift this team to a new level.

Apples and Oranges.  But, nice try.

In all honesty if someone had a list of:

    1. Tom Brady

    2. Joe Montana

    3. Pat Mahomes

    4. Peyton Manning

-I can see why, so no bigge. Having said that Joe Montana won 4 SBs, won 1 on a last minute drive, won 3 SB MVPs, and won 2 League MVPs. For the media or any fan that thinks Mahomes should leapfrog Joe needs heavy explaining to do there. He has nothing on Joe.

    It's simply recency bias, IMO.
