So what do we do with TJ Green? Does that mean Geatgers moves to ILB?

I wouldn't worry about that honestly. Even if Green develops into a weapon, we spend so much time in the Nickel that all 3 will spend considerable time on the field.

LOL at skeptics coming out of the woodwork. Has been rated a top 10 prospect since Day 1 and arguably the #1 safety. Now both networks and posters say it's too early. Give me a break.

To be clear, this team needs players like Hooker. He is now the only ballhawk we have in the secondary. Leave the physicality and tackling to Geathers, Simon, Hankins, etc. This is a perfect fit with a guy that has the potential to be a stud right off the bat.

Trade down?  Crap, take your pick

Hooker, Foster, Reddick, Allen, Harris, Barnett. Screw it. Trade down 3-4 picks and take one of those guys and gain a 3rd on top of it.

CB is in a great spot right now. Can't lose as long as we go defense. Would also be fine with Lamp.

I wonder if there's insurance for this. There are injury protection policies, I wonder if you can get insurance that protects you from a false claim or weird occurrence like what happened with La'el Collins...

I would assume Lloyd's of London insures all sorts of scenarios like this. Considering Conley's clean reputation before the accusation, I would guess that would have been an easy write.

If there's not, and it officially comes out that it was a false accusation, that girl will be paying out a very large lawsuit for a long time.

Sorry, there are multiple threads on this....which was why I said it should have been merged. In another thread I said why are we trying this in the court of public opinion with no information. Let it play out in the legal system where it belongs. That said there is a gamble and risk involved in this....beyond even the fact if he will ball out on the field. He has been named by a young lady that he raped her. People don't have to take sides on who to believe. Right now there is enough info on both sides that I can't see how anyone can honestly sit here and say its a safe bet this will blow over....thus the gamble and risk involved...which in my own modest opinion don't think the Colts are the team to take on additional risk outside of his on field performance with the 15th pick in the draft. I'm not sure how a GM given the information available and what they could reasonably attain in about 24hrs could reduce that risk to zero on this event. Thus I said there are some that are not as risk adverse or more comfortable with taking players under these conditions will still decide to take him in the first. The report earlier was some teams think he would go in the third...thus every GM is not seeing this the same way....and the information available is not perfect. Now it could be teams saw him as third rd talent to begin with or we are getting misinformation but I think it is reasonable to say some teams comfort with the situation has pushed him out of the first rd and I would guess Indy would be one of those based on their history with character question marks.

That's all fine. I get where you're coming from. I am just making the assumption that there's a chance GM's may know more than what has been leaked in the media, especially if the rumors of video surveillance being available are true. I didn't mean to advocate one way or the other for his innocence. So, I don't want that to be misconstrued. We will see what happens tonight!

Only assumption I made was that I don't know anything...and that for a team that has a very conservative history in the draft with player issues and with a roster that needs to hit at a high percentage to get this team turned back around would quote "probably" be one that would pass on him. All I said was let it play out in the court system.

It's unfortunate that it playing out probably won't happen before the draft but for a team like the Colts I can't see us taking that risk. I did say many other teams would. Don't see the issue.

That's not what you said originally. You originally called him a gamble and a risk. I stated that it would be rash for us to state that definitively right now. As fans, we may not have all the information surrounding the case. It is entirely possible for GM's in the league to have more insight that would remove any potential risk label from Conley as prospect.

If the due diligence has been done in the front office and CB knows without a doubt that Conley isn't a risk and has been falsely accused, he's a good value at 15. There's no need to pass on him because of public perception if that's the case.

I don't think it is rash to just state the information that is out there. The woman deserves just as much the benefit of the doubt as the young man here....she also went through a rape kit which is a terribly invasive and humiliating procedure and questioning from the police. With so much uncertainty its impossible to tell who's truth is correct at this point and the fact that either she went through a horrible event or Gareon is going through a horrible event its sad either way. Since the police don't even have the full facts yet I don't see how a football team that has had less than 48 hours to investigate would have any more and that to me is where the uncertainty comes in and probably disqualifies a lot of teams from taking this kid at what his talent says....us probably one of those teams. However there are other teams that aren't as risk adverse or in a better position to whether a potential bad pick that will be willing to still take him in the first. Arizona to me was that team and that is why I mocked him to them.

You're making a lot of assumptions about what is or isn't known. None of us on this forum know for sure the circumstances of the case.

What we do know is that there have been no charges. We also are now hearing that the people that are in charge of making these decisions, the same people that have run for the hills at any hint of uncertainly in prior prospects (La'el Collins?), are saying they're comfortable drafting him in the 1st round. I don't think there is a single owner/GM in the league that would be so cavalier around spending such a valuable asset on someone if they weren't certain of the circumstances.

Probably should go in the other thread. I'm pretty sure its been mentioned in there. If we were a team without so many pressing needs then we could gamble on him but hard to do that when we likely need a starting corner or two out of this draft and we can't be certain whats going on with his issues. Sad story all around.

I think any of us stating anything definitively would be a bit rash at this point. It sounds like multiple GM's have decided in short order they aren't worried about it. That tells me they have access to information we don't.

Anyone can make an accusation. For decision makers to be comfortable with him in the 1st round at this point (if true) is pretty telling. JMO of course.

Harris and Barnett are two busts, both run well under 4.8's with Harris about a 5.0

If need is going to be addressed we'd be better off seeing if we can get a couple 2ed round picks for our 1st and address both CB and LB with those 2 picks. Draft is very heavy with good quality at those positions..

40 doesn't matter much for a guy coming off the edge. You'd be better of looking at their 10 yard splits and 3 cone drill. Harris was competitive with some of the premiere edge rushers (Garrett) in his 10 yard split.

Edit: Couldn't find it when I first posted, but Garrett had a 1.63 10 yd split. Harris had a 1.65 split.
