Ya, just like Luck's.
Here’s to hoping Mack isn’t as injured. As another poster previously said, all of that type of injury are lumped together in title, but there are differing lvls of damage, and how the damage affects rehab/healing time.

Good to hear his downtime won’t be that long. Hope he does well with it!

That is a violent toss to the ground and I love it!! I don’t know who that player was he tossed but it wasn’t like it was from a small school with undersized players, it was LSU. Pretty impressive.
With Nelson, Kelly and Smith (or Mewhort), our running game should open up and the passing game will certainly benefit from it. Hopefully, we finally have guards that can pull. Does a center ever pull in a scheme and what’s Kelly’s ability to do that if asked? It’s going to be a relief to know that we only have the RT spot to be concerned with as opposed to LG, RG and RT spots needing a player. Should be a fun offense to watch this season.
Don’t have a link, but I read that Nelson is known for being a pretty dominant pulling guard. I’ll try to find it.

Loved Nelson’s quote about grinding defenders down till they don’t wanna compete any more. All the way to the whistle. Need that kinda mentality on the line. Great keys to winning. Stop your opponents ground game. Be able to run the ball with authority when you need to. I like CB’s plan so far, he seems to be a man of his word. Nelson playing the pulling guard role in the near future will be fun to watch. Here’s to back to back great picks in the 2nd.

Sadly, I bet most of them probably think Luck won't be playing.
Or they’re hoping. Because if he comes back in the right shape physically and mentally(Better Decision Making) he’s gonna light the league up again. I know it’s just my hope/opinion, but I feel it in my bones. Here’s to drafting the foundation, and building on last years draft. After next years draft, we should know exactly what our Championship team will look like(Looking for a cpl higher profile free agents added also). Would just be nice to get over this Injury plague we suffer from.

Dont be surprised if we gain even more draft picks for 2019. I think Ballard wants back to back drafts where he's got many extra picks.
That will accelerate the rebuild...
Isn’t this Kraft/Hoodies recipe for sustained success? Sprinkle in some difference making FA’s, and we might just get somewhere.

EJ for my .2 May he make it into Canton soon!!

Isn't Hearns the really good fighter that Sugar Ray Leonard beat in that great fight. Believe his nickname was Hitman and was from Detroit.
Tommy “The Hitman” Hearns. I grew up watching boxing w/my Dad and Papaw. Awesome competition then. Hearns, Hagler, Chavez, Suger-Ray Leonord, Roberto Duran, Spinx, and many others. The Leonord/Duran bouts were my all-time favorites.

2nd coming of Dilger / Pollard combo ?
Loved those two. Every time Dilger got tackled, he went down like a felled tree. Was good for an extra cpl of yards, just from falling forward. Ah, the good ol’ days!

we cant stop their running game
This we have never seemed to be able to accomplish. Granted, Fred Taylor was no slouch in his time(big fan of him), but we made him look Canton worthy every time he played us for the most part. Ditto for Jones-Drew.

We shall see but I think they will have a better record than 10-6 next season.
This is possible. I and I believe @southwest1 were both stating when the Jags brought back Coughlin, their identity changed and shouldn’t be overlooked(not verbatim, but in context).

One of the issues here is that integrity seems to be gone or disappearing all over this country. Maybe I am wrong and I just think we used be a country of integrity. But there are so many people on that twitter feed - and some in this post - that think what Josh did was fine.
Some people still think a handshake on a deal means something. Or the idea that "my word is my bond". We have become so accustomed to people being so extraordinarily selfish that they are OK with this behavior - as long as it doesn't negatively impact them.
Sad.
Quoted For Truth. Was talking on this subject with my wife a couple of days ago. We’ve sadly taken on an attitude in this country that everything(I.e. relationships/handshake meaning something) is disposable and lacks meaning. It’s all about self-gratification now.

I kinda want to see if Malcolm Butler would be interested in coming to Indy. If he's got some bad blood because of the SB, and wants to stick it to Bill and the Pats, well let him know there's a place over here that's trying to do just that.
A secondary of Butler, Wilson, Hairston, Geathers, and Hooker would be pretty good with Farley, Desir, and Moore as the main backups.
Hopefully this is running through Ballard’s mind also! After his presser ending the way it did and all.
Gotta say for me personally, i’m even more excited for the season now. It’s my hope the guys play angry this year. Intelligent football, just with anger behind it.

I loved the tweet, and couldn't agree more, but some of the comments people left for him really p'd me off!
Had to stop reading the hate-filled, Faith-bashing manner that was spewed like venom @ Coach. He spoke the truth, but that’s supposed to take a backseat to “Political Correctness”. I’ve never been one to push my beliefs/faith on others, but i’m sick of hearing people being mocked for it.

Terrible. Sad news indeed. Prayers for the Jackson family and friends.

What will it take for Josh to gain my confidence? That'a essentially what you're asking me right CJ82?
Well, I've covered this in other threads, but I can give the Reader's Digest version...
--Speed up Luck's reads & ball release mechanism
--Don't be smug & condescending to reporters at weekly press conferences
--Remember, nobody in INDY cares how many rings you won as a NE coordinator hit the reset button
--Perfect halftime adjustments & make false start penalties almost non existent. This is huge to me.
--Must be supervised around video & camera equipment at all times. LOL! I couldn't resist that one.
--Make sure that we generate touchdowns not field goals in the red zone
--Give me a sense of what your Denver experience taught you & how it translates to success here
--Show me that you can help INDY get past NE & Pittsburgh 2 barriers to SB aspirations for us
--Integrity sounds good but just get Luck back in the mix & not squander his franchise yrs anymore.
--I want rings plural screw wholesomeness & warm & fuzzy feelings. Just being honest...
I believe this sums it up nicely.

My all time favorite Indy Colt player. Dude was a “Baller”. Didn’t EJ take Jim Browns Yards From Scrimmage record. He’ll get his nod wether it’s this year or one in the near future.

I can appreciate your view. And for the record, i’m not a Mallinial(Retired Army). A healthy Luck won those comebacks for the most part. If Coach’s strongsuit/wins we’re because of his ability to adjust, why the falloff for the last cpl of years. How’s it possible he didn’t improve an already strong coaching trait, but regress, I personally think it’s an honest question. And i’ll reiterate that i’m in

and he was unable to adjust.
This is the main dig on Pagano for me personally. In-game adjustments under his watch were as rare as unicorn sightings. He mostly seemed out of his depth on the sidelines. Super likable human being, but “not quite there” in the ability department.

I completely understand those that are leaning on an Egde Rusher, or O-lineman. Either would help tremendously. But we haven’t had a 3 down back since EJ. I wouldn’t be mad if we took Barkley honestly.

Happy New Year to all. Here’s to an awesome comeback in 18’.

Why all the Morrison bashing, he has 310 tackles this year.
150 on opponents, 160 on his teammates!
Had to bump you purely on the chuckle I got reading this.

The Colts have proven it does not matter who they play, where they play or when they play the result is pretty much predetermined by the lack of what it takes to win. Back in the Roaring 20's young people had dance marathons where they had contests on who could dance non-stop until they dropped with the last couple standing was declared the winner.
Is that you George Bailey?!?

It is exciting stuff, when you hear the new O-Line additions talking about playing through the wistle w/intensity. So much so, that they want to grind the defenders down. Haven’t had that spirit here.....................
