Its illogical to suggest that the reason the Colts havent been more successful is that they didnt sign a guy like Christian Kirk or Kenny Golladay when the real reason is the glaring hole at QB which would prevent any of those players from even making the slightest impact.

Yes Doug teams usually go into the FA period with holes. Btw we are only one day in. And yes I think Chris Ballard knows what he is doing. Winning in the NFL is all about the QB. So if you want the Colts to win games, you essentially want them to have good QB play. That is the #1 most essential thing to have and the hardest thing to find.

My point is that he was severely overpaid. If the Colts drafted Randy Gregory and got that production in return fans would call him a bust. And if we signed him, and he didnt increase his sack production, he would be called a big mistake in a year. He isnt really any better than Kwity Paye. This is why I prefer the draft

Randy Gregory best year is 6 sacks. He gets 70 million dollars, 14 million a year. Fans here think Kemoko Turay sucks and he got 5.5 last year playing much less snaps. And this is the circus you want us to invest in? No thanks. I want them to land a pass rusher and a LT. But if they invested 110 million dollars in Randy Gregory and Joseph Noteboom I cant say I would be too happy.
