Now McConkey over Mitchell, I'm confused.

Wow, how do they go with Keon Coleman when Mitchell is available. Coleman just has bust written all over.

My expectations have always been for the Colts to add a really promising WR prospect sometime on Day 2. I'm starting to think that might not happen. The late run on WRs kind of sucked the value out of the second round, IMO. There are some guys, but a couple that I thought would be there are gone already, and I bet a couple more go early tonight. Plan A has been severely compromised.
Beyond that, I could easily see DeJean or Cooper being BPA when we're on the clock, and if so, those picks would make perfect sense. And we're still without a significant add at WR.
So if it goes that way over the next couple days, I wonder what Plan B would be. Find a trade for a young guy, maybe Drake London? Maybe a Diggs-like deal for someone that isn't on our radar? Any chance the Bears are thinking about moving DJ Moore?
I've been on the train of thought that if we didn't draft a WR in round 1, we wouldn't draft one in the first 4 rounds

If the Colts are thinking of trading up, I think the 2nd is the time to do it. I fully expect the Bills to take Mitchell, but there is still 1st round talent available. The two players I would trade up for are Iowa CB Cooper DeJean and Texas A&M LB Edgerrin Cooper, both players are first round talent. I think DeJean is falling because of his injury and some teams see him as a safety not a CB and Cooper is a LB where it's very rare for teams to take LBs in the first round yet he is one of the best overall players in draft in my opinion. If we can somehow trade up for one of these two players, it would instantly improve our defense and our coverage ability.

I wouldn't mind if we traded up early if we picked one of these three players:
1. Texas A&M LB Edgerrin Cooper
2. Iowa CB Cooper DeJean
3. Texas WR Adonai Mitchell

Round 2/3 Wishlist
1. Texas A&M LB Edgerrin Cooper
2. Iowa CB Cooper DeJean
3. Texas WR Adonai Mitchell
4. Rutgers CB Max Melton
5. Michigan LB Junior Colson
6. Western Kentucky WR Malachi Corley
7. Minnesota S Tyler Nubin
8. Iowa State CB T.J. Tampa
9.Oregon WR Troy Franklin

So he had a cervical fusion... this is a surgery I do frequently. Once it heals the surgery is more or less the strongest part of the neck. The biggest problems with a fusion in this context are:
(1) loss of nerve function prior to surgery may or may not recover after surgery, usually over the next 3-12 months (but his production after surgery implies no major concern on this)
(2) the patient will have somewhat accelerated wear/arthritis at non fused levels. While this is a real concern, it will unfortunately be more of an issue for him later in life, after his NFL career.
Peyton had this surgery as his final neck surgery before playing for the broncos, but his problem was number one above, he apparently never had the same arm strength as before.
Ahmad Bradshaw also had this same surgery in 2013, he already had I think 6 years of RB play prior to that. His YPC held up but was utilized less, but this may mirror more a tapering RB career.
I'm not personally worried about the medical status of this player, but I have no idea the actual details obviously. I will say that very few surgeons would be eager to clear the player to play afterwards, mostly for the stupid liability things in medicine.
I think it's fair to say we got a really nice pick here for value.
Thanks for sharing

Brian Thomas Jr. looks like Antonio Brown.
Yeah I haven’t been a fan of Thomas, thought he was more of a 2nd rounder than a 1st. I think the Jags reached for him.

Somehow the eagles are gonna end up with the best CB in the draft at 22, with CB being there biggest need. Howie has to be laughing

We traded with the Texans to get to #21, them we traded with the Jags to get to #17 to draft Turner. He is an expensive pick
I would say it is confusing why they are trading away so many picks

We have an amazing rotation on DL with the addition of Latu, opposing OLs are gonna have to deal with a constant rotation of fresh rushers. We just need to add better coverage now, I would like Cooper LB in the second but maybe a CB.

Wow Vikings on the clock Turner could be huge for them or CB
-
Late seems to be the most developed pass rusher with more than one move, seems like they went away from going raw talent and went for the developed rusher.

Ballard is going to be on Pat McAfee draft show

Well if Turner is a stud year 1…
From my last minute research Turner seems like a better 3-4 OLB than 4-3 DE. Everyone wanted to improve our rush game and the Colts took probably the best pass rusher.

Man his neck injury worries me, but if our doctors cleared him then he should really help our pass rush.

I have no idea where we are going, we have top pick options at any defensive position. This is crazy

I'm thinking the Saints go with my Oregon State alum OT Fuaga.

I didn't think Turner will be anywhere close to our pick so I haven't really talked about him recently. But he fits REALLY well with what Ballard likes...
Yeah, I didn't look into him much because I thought we would be long gone.
