  1.     I was wondering how people felt about the “tush push” QB sneak that the Eagles have been doing.

There seems to be three trains of thought:

    1. It’s akin to the flying wedge and should be outlawed before somebody breaks a neck or back.

     2. It’s a great idea and should be kept legal. If you don’t like it, stop it!

      3. Modify it to make it safer and more fair.

Moderators - if someone can turn this into a pole, I’d appreciate it. (For some reason, I can’t create poles).

    For me, it’s # 3

I think it should be modified somehow (only one player can push the qb).

I'm OK with NFL+ premium, which was $79 for a year subscription at the time. Colts games are on local TV and I can watch every game minutes after they've ended. Even if I already know the score, I like to see how the game developed. I never considered NFL Sunday Ticket.

I do the same but I listen to the game live, then watch the replay (it takes a little while to get the condensed game but the full replay - sans commercials, is available right after game ends).

This is off topic, but where was your favorite place in Ireland? I'm going next summer for my honeymoon but know idea which part.

Check out the West coast. Fly into Shannon and you’ll be close to Galway (about an hour). You can pick up the Wild Atlantic Way (coastline roadway) and head south to the Cliffs of Moher and the Dingle peninsula.
There’s a cool little town (Kenmare) where we rented a house.

The Ring of Kerry is close. If you have the time, you can head northeast to the Wicklow mountains (they have the most delicious strawberries there), and then either head back to Shannon or to Dublin first, then to Shannon.

May the good Lord bless your marriage and the time there!! (And don’t forget to drive on the left side)!!!

  4.    I know there’s a few threads about Anthony Richardson but this one was a little unique in that it was from an Irishman (I love Ireland, been there 6 times).
The cadence of the narration is a bit much but it does reveal AR is more than just a running QB: He has a pocket awareness and is pretty doggone accurate, especially downfield and oh yeah, he can RUN!!

I don’t know about you guys but I’m hoping to see some exciting play this year from #5!

  5.     I don’t know why the local media (and some fans) think the playoffs are “unrealistic”.
The NFL is changing and there definitely is parody across the league. Teams can go from bad to good (or visa-versa quickly.
And there’s such a fine line between winning and losing. A dropped pass here, and interception there and games are won or loss on a few critical plays.

I like the talent on the Colts and I know there’s question marks but being a “glass half full” kinda fan, I’m hoping for a 10-7 or better year.

  6. Just watched this video about with Bill Polian about why Peyton was taken over Leaf:

    Peyton was more mature

Peyton had a better movement in the pocket

Peyton had a stronger arm (contrary to media opinion)

Peyton had a better football IQ

Oolian also touches on the 2023 draft, (prior to the Colts’ selection)

    Interesting watch

Hey guys, so Pat sold out to ESPN. So happy for him and the boys getting a huge bag of money. But for me and many many others the reason I gravitated to his show was because it was not ESPN. Its never going to be the same. I won't be listening any longer. So I need to find some new podcasts to fill the void. Whats everyones favorite Colts podcast on youtube? Already listen to the Bring the Juice guys btw. Thanks have a great summer everyone.

I like Pat but don’t really care for the language. There are some good podcasts on the Colts websites, under ”Audio” in the main menu.
Matt Taylor is really likable and Rick Venturi has a lot of knowledge but is a little self promoting.

  8.  I’m in for a 9+ season. Look what Ballard has done so far:

Upgraded the coaching staff (although special teams is a ??)

Drafted a potential star at QB

Added depth for DL in FA and draft

    Added athleticism in secondary

    Added a dynamic slot receiver

Added OL depth (I think people are overlooking the acquisition of the guard from Alabama)

These things plus the (hopefully) return of the Maniac, second year for Pierce, Cross, Thomas, Woods), and the return of Ogletree and a “softer” schedule, give me hope for this year.

To be honest I don't think it's a massive leap to challenge for the division next season, Jags won it with a 9-8 and if we hadn't shot ourselves in the foot numerous times last year we'd have had several more wins.

When you think about the games last year, we could have won 4 or 5 more (Washington, Minnesota, Philadelphia, both Texan’s games).
In hindsight, it’s good we didn’t. That being said, a double-digit win season (playing the AFC South and NFC South), is entirely possible.
One of my favorite visuals from the show was Richardson doing a flip on his pro day. I couldn’t help but think that I’d never see Peyton do that!

    Seriously?

The man has been doing it on live television for 40 years.  The only people he rubs the wrong way are fans.   He is widely respected by the NFL.

Typically,  Kiper will be the first analyst to introduce a new name to consider, a player few have hard of before.  He finds players by watching tape and getting tips from sources inside the league.

Kiper isn’t analyzing a few players.  He’s analyzing a few HUNDRED players every year.   Do you and your friends do that?

There are no fans who know as much as Kiper.   If you can find one, encourage them to go into the scouting profession.

Yet…do you trust Kiper more than Ballard? I don’t!
Morocco Brown made the comment that Ballard can scout better than anyone that works for him.

Some don't understand that for some reason but oh well. The game got out of hand after a couple missed calls.

Hard to believe it but there’s a lot of good players on this team and they need some pieces but they’re not at a “rebuild” level.

After a night like tonight, people overreact. It’s a game that just got out of hand for various reasons.

I’m a Philly girl, born and raised in North Philly. Sports loving household, my mom and older sister were die hard fans of all Philly teams. My dad is a Cowboys fan. Loved growing up joining along with my mom and sister ragging on my dad during divisional games.

Then as I got older I started paying more attention to other teams, I wanted to cheer for others besides just the Eagles. Honestly this is embarrassing but the Colts first roped me in because of their beautiful blue color (I’m obsessed with royal blue). :) Then as I watched them more and more I found a true connection to them, definitely loved coach Dungy and fell in love with Peyton’s A type personality. Loved how the Colts carried themselves and their high standards. Also loved the calm fan base I saw on TV, compared to what I grew up around haha. Have rolled with the Colts only ever since.

Now I live in DE and love making people turn twice when I wear my Colts gear. I’m an alien out here haha, they wanna know why I don’t have Philly or Baltimore or Pittsburg gear on haha. Will never stop cheering for that beautiful blue.

I dream of the day that I will get to engulf myself in the sea of blue, the day I finally travel to Lucas Oil for a home game god willing!

I live in Delaware too. Been a Colts fan since 1969, when then lost to Jets. Went to Baltimore to see a few games with Jones, Roger Carr, Lydell Mitchell, the “Sack Pack”,  et al. That’s where I first experienced the brotherhood of Colts nation.
Followed the team to Indy and suffered through the pre-Manning years, then lived through the building of a historically successful team (would have loved to have won more than one ring) and rejoiced when we beat NE and finally won a SB.

Then there was Andrew Luck: I just loved the way he played! I always felt the Colts had a chance, with Luck. Any Colts fan that saw him play, has probably wondered how different things would have been, if he had stayed…..

Lastly, being from the Philly area, this past game (I bought tickets), was a heart-breaker. Not only did they lose to the dreaded Eagles, but after the game, I had to listen to the E-A-G-L-E-S chant, over and over, rubbing the “salt into the wounds”.
As bad as this year has been, I can’t give up until they are mathematically eliminated. Heck, I haven’t even conceded the Division yet, with the Tennessee loss today!!
