  1. I can argue for either. A good DB makes the secondary better, but a great pass rusher makes the secondary better as well. Usually, highly touted pass rushers are seen as more of a sure thing and their skills will translate quicker to the NFL level. Also there are generally more quality corners to be found in the draft than elite pass rushers. If we're on the clock and both are available it'll be a tough call, but that's why teams have draft boards.

  2. He's slated as the starter in Detroit but its only a formality because he was on the team last year....a few blogs said JACOB LACEY may become the starter...with that said, dealing with this dude would be a waste.

If that's true, make sure you stock up on Packers, Bears and Vikings receivers in fantasy.

  3. I get the suspicion. I learned a while ago not to give anyone the benefit of the doubt when it comes to PEDs, especially in baseball. However, I don't think the biceps idea is evidence of anything.

And you very well may be right. My whole suspicion comes from working out with guys in college who were juicing and they would tear tendons all the time just doing ordinary lifts, as a result. So while I do see red flags, it could all be coincidence as you say.

  4. Is the steroids thing real or fake

He's never tested positive, but all the signs are there. One of the side effects of roids is that while your muscles get bigger and stronger, your ligaments and tendons do not, leading to ruptures and tears. And Bob just so happened to have those big ole bicep tendons rupture in consecutive years. Just Sayin'.

  5. Please learn to recognize sarcasm - it's very common on the Interwebs. I'm pretty loosely wound, but love to have fun. Thank you for volunteering to be my psych - but really don't need one! :) (Yes, I can also do smiley faces)

I really didn't want to respond to this, but I digress, this will be my last comment on the matter. My first post WAS sarcasm to which you misunderstood and told me not to make something out of nothing in a rather snarky way. I then proceeded to tell you that my post was made in good fun, to which you further misunderstood and got even more defensive. So, I think you have things backwards my friend. Take care, Happy 4th.

  6. Reading comprehension, please: I said "He's just joking."

    Understand?

(Sorry, but I'm not smart enough to make it more simple than that).

My post was a joke, hence the smiley face. Get it now? Have fun living life tightly wound.

  7. Might be, I know Bob Sanders is close to that in height anyway, I think he will struggle alot if he is put at Corner

True, but Bob was over 30 pounds heavier and built like a tank and still got hurt. Mathieu made a ton of plays, but he doesn't have the elite measurables and lock down cover skills to warrant a high pick, I believe. But hey, it only takes one team to reach on a guy.

  8. Do you know how hard it was for me to say that Notre Dame had some credibility as a Purdue fan? This is in reference to your Andrew Luck comment. ND has a good Defense. I said it.

Again...good players can come from bad teams. Mario Williams vs an O-line and sack QB's is different from Amerson intercepting a pass 20 feet short of the intended receiver. I just watched a highlight video, and the toughest competition might have been Clemson. Two highlights of him intercepting Liberty...yee haw.

Again...I know...he's good. I get it. I just think his competition makes him look really good throwing floaters away from the target. To his credit, he's like 6'3" and can play jump ball vs receivers...my biggest question is : is he a corner or a safety? I think teams might have him play safety in the NFL.

That's fair enough, I haven't watched the kid yet, so I wouldn't know. I just think it might be unfair to pigeonhole someone based on the conference they play in. The Big Ten doesn't really have dynamic offenses, the SEC doesn't have stellar QB play top to bottom. My whole argument is that if you can play, you can play.

That being said, I know absolutely nothing about the Amerson kid in question, only that he has the measurables and some hype.

  9. The next time NC State or anyone else from ACC makes it to a premier college bowl game after taking on teams like Oregon, USC, Notre Dame, Cal or any other team with some credibility, let me know. I wouldn't go comparing PAC-12 teams that play tough SEC competition to bottom feeders of the ACC.

Did you just call Notre Dame a team with credibility? Lol, didn't they just get beat in their crappy bowl game by an ACC team? I don't care if a dude played at Slippery Rock as long as he dominated the guy across from him every time. Good players come from bad programs all the time. Mario Williams was an NC State guy too.
