Looks to me we are heading to an 8-8 season with a defense that's straight trash and a backup qb at the helm. IMO the defense isn't going to magically get better. We get gashed with the run and we can't generate any pressure on the qb. Looks like a wasted season. Luck covered up a lot.....too bad he gave up.

The defense played like the defense we expected them to be today. 8 sacks in two games is impressive no matter who you are. Outside of one drive in the first half they only gave up points on a short field and only three off turnovers. They had a great game.
They still need to shore up that run D. Teams are gashing us at times.

He looked pretty darn good to me driving the ball down to tie the game. Heck I think he looked pretty damn good throughout the game.

...or did it seem like we had a lot of rookies starting yesterday (secondary)? With that being said why would you throw rookies out there right away? Especially against a high caliber team like the chargers?

He is probably a 20 TD 9 INT guy for the season. The problem I see is no way we are getting to Super Bowl much less winning with him at QB. I hope at some point Kelly gets a shot to see what he can do because he has a higher ceiling (and bottom). Ultimately, I am one who believes Luck will be back next year. But if Jacoby is our guy for the next few years, I would expect a couple playoff appearances and early exits. He is just way too cautious.
I thought driving the ball down to get that last td and 2 point conv was pretty clutch. Brissett did great and will only get better.
