Absolutely disgusting to do that to a good man like Lebron James. I think Lebron was shook up today and saddened and I think the team around him is going to rise up and now fight even harder for their leader.

Cavs fans treat Kevin Love like he is Bosh with the Heat.

But they seem to forget, Bosh wasn't an elite scorer...Bosh's job was to get rebounds, steals, and mostly, just play all around good defense.

Remember how everyone used to say Bosh was the overrated one of the big 3? Everyone acted like he was supposed to score gobs of points, but he never did. Occasionally he would get a big 3 pointer like Love does, but Bosh's sole job was defense. Bosh wasn't overrated, people just didn't analyze him as a defensive player.

I think Cavs fans are way too hard on Kevin Love. For the Bosh role, he does it good...he's not supposed to score tons.

Cavs fans are giving Love more credit today, apparently the stats and heavy analysis say he won the matchup vs. Draymond despite being pushed, shoved, bitten, doused with gasoline, threatened with death and jersey pulled.

The thing is, yes Love can score more points too as the series goes on but he is the only one at times who seems to be able to rebound vs. the Warriors. When Curry is getting rebounds? You got an issue.

Which brings up an excellent point someone made on their forums, why not move Love to center if TT continues to struggle? Apparently and I missed this.........Love was at center most of the time in game 7 last year out of desperation. If Love is at center he can score more too since you cannot expect him to always hit those damn 3's. I know everyone wants him to rain 3's but this isn't Boston where their big men were crap and you could kinda just dance around at the perimeter in high heels. The Cavs need something going in the paint. Lebron or Love and better yet both.........has to happen.......INSIDE.

And you could COULD move Tristan Thompson to PF and have HIM chase after Durant the whole game if he can keep up, which would free up Lebron to beast out more on offense Since Lebron will get tired if he is forced to guard Durant for too many minutes. Someone else I feel has to split time with guarding Durant. If TT won't score much then he could be used in another role to give Lebron more freedom.

AND then...........you could also even take useless JR Smith and move him to guard Curry, which sounds scary but hey it can't hurt since it would make it easier on Kyrie so he could just deal with a slumping Klay Thompson and score more maybe.

And then you got to pray that someone shows up from the bench. Anyone.......

Now none of this may happen but who knows. I could see Love going to center in this series eventually though since it has happened before. They say TT will rebound in game 2 maybe, but he has a tough time vs. the Warriors a lot for some reason.

JR Smith to me is the glaring weakness from game 1. I mean he is a guard.......and he was literally useless. You expect A GUARD to score a lot more then 3 damn points. If you took Wade and replaced JR Smith with Wade, then the Cavs then instantly are a much better team with 25 extra points. I know JR Smith loves Lebron James and loves Ohio, but seriously........they got to find a better role for him at times since he was crap in game 1. So if he can't score worth a damn then make him play heavy D and free up Lebron or Kyrie.

Just some thoughts since they clearly have to work something out. They claim focus for game 2 is to be more psychical to try and disrupt the Warriors offense. Which sounds good but that could also mean a ton more foul trouble. Then again maybe you just got to get in foul trouble and risk it.

Most Cavs fans claim game 1 in the finals for Lebron is often "the feel out game" to see what is going on so I will try to ride this optimism and hope they are not behind 20 in the third quarter and it's raining 3's on them.

Simply put, to beat TEAM USA you got to make some adjustments......like now.

Soooooo true. When he was off, he just wouldn't stop. That's where Kobe would frustrate me the most. The only time in his career he actually wasn't a ball hog, was the height of the Shaq era.

Kobe would do that though; keep missing and keep taking so many shots. It would make you want to punch the TV at times. I used to get REALLY mad cause he would do this when Odom was playing well. You mention the 2008 Boston series and I keep thinking back to that and I remember Odom and Gasol were playing really well and Kobe just refused to pass the ball to them at times, it was so frustrating. I swear there was one game in that series where Kobe was just BAD and those guys were playing great and he just screwed it all up by refusing to get them involved.

To be fair to Kyrie, he can't ball hog like Kobe did since if he did Lebron would throw him on the highway. What Lebron tries to do at times IMO is find another guy on the team who is "hot" that night or "feeling it". And sadly it wasn't happening in game 1.

I am not completely giving up yet on this series btw. I am nuts and so be it. I won't go down easy. If they lose the series easy they lose it but I still hope they can make the Warriors have to go the distance to 6 or 7 if need be. I mean if the series can somehow SOMEHOW go longer then most expect, then the Warriors will wear down a bit and get frustrated. At the very least TRY to make them earn the title. And if you can get it to go longer, the longer a big underdog hangs around the tougher the favorite has it to win.

Also, Kevin Durant often slows down as a series goes on. He had his big hot "I AM HERE IN THE FINALS OMG LOOK AT ME I AM SO AWESOME AND IN THE FINALS MOM" night. That crap better end or else it will be a short series.

Also yeah in the 2008 finals, yeah Kobe went into ball hog mode at times. And if you ask me that series was honestly winnable for the Lakers if they had gotten other guys going on offense more. Since Kobe as good as he often was, he would go into pain in the aazzz mode.

Paul Pierce said once that Kobe had the mentality of a basketball serial killer as in "He never stops." I think what PP means is you think Kobe may pass it around if he is missing shots but no he keeps going.........and going...........and going.........and then going...........

I still maintain though that nobody was beating Boston that year. It was their time. Problem is they still deserved another ring IMO since it is a shame KG only got one. Just glad he got that one though at least. So I am glad now looking back they won.

Steve Kerr may return for game 2 I seen. Oh good...........

Seriously just get nasty Cavs. I mean for real, throw punches even and get ejected I don't care. Start getting crazy dirty on those clowns. Since in a way you got to get this jolt of mean going on since this Cavs team is TOO DAMN NICE. I love the Cavs to death but they are like choir boys at times with charity work and being angels and helping old ladies cross the street.

      Nice guys finish last.:(

See Kobe was a mean dude once too, he used to get after people. I want to see Kyrie get MEAN. Just aggressive. One thing he don't have is Kobe's aggressive "I want to win and kill you" mentality.

I don't know but whenever the Cavs lose I swear I feel like I ramble about them being soft.

Welcome to my frustrations with Kobe Bryant. This is identical to the problems I always had with Kobe. It's almost note for note identical. Everything you say about Kyrie just brings back the memories of Kobe to me. And he can get hot and score constantly like Kobe used to, but they both have almost the exact same weaknesses.

Ugh I love Kobe but my God was he a frustrating player. When he was good he was very good but when he was bad you wanted to die. And he also btw when bad would keep taking shots all the time. Kyrie isn't a ball hog though.

But tonight the Cavs had loads of Kobe's on a bad shooting night chucking up shots that didn't go in. I was starting to have flashbacks..........it sorta looked to me like the Lakers vs. the Celtics in 2008 even.

      Quote

Curry owned Kyrie tonight. Cavs fans I think heavily underestimated Curry. They kept saying how he plays poorly vs them. Well tonight, he flat out owned Kyrie like how Allen Iverson was owning Kobe in the 2001 Finals Game 1; that one game where AI went off and killed them.

Curry killed it tonight. I will fully admit this. I WILL give praise to Curry, Draymond and Klay but anyone who thinks I am praising Kevin Durant can go F themselves.

      Quote

I agree that Cavs fans have completely unrealistic expectations for what Kevin Love should do. They talk about him dropping 30 points a night, but I don't think he's the player to do that. He does his job well...It's not his fault the other Cavs players can't get it done.

Kevin Love does not get the calls either, I totally agree with you. He didn't even get a foul when Kelly Olynk tore his shoulder on a dirty play a few years ago.

I read tons of Cavs stuff on Kevin Love and they need to get off his aazzz at times. I mean do they even realize what position he plays?

He has a gift for the 3 but they act like he is supposed to do it every game and wrack up 30 while playing under the basket.

I feel bad too since Lebron often gives Love the ball for a wide open 3 in hopes to spark something.

I mean I see this all the time. If Kyrie is going ballistic then Love is who Lebron often passes to at times to see if he can be sparked into "Minnesota Kevin" and it makes me feel so damn sad when it doesn't work out like tonight.

At least your birthday was great. I should've did you a bible study last night. I was afraid it would kill positive vibes, but the Cavs did that on their own. TOMORROW I am going to work on Isiah. It's just depressing to read, but after tonight, it's easier to sit through.

BTW how some people talk about Kevin Love is insane. He is not a guard that can run around shooting 3's all the time even if he has the gift of being a great shooter at the perimeter when open. He isn't even a small forward. He is a 6'10/6'11 PF.  Thats it. Most want him to score 30 points a game and be this super man. He isn't going do that all the time. And he isn't going to get favorable ref treatment either. He actually wasn't even that bad tonight either.

Love matched up with Boston since Boston's big men are garbage. Love is going to have more issues in this series at times.

I saw one reasonable Cavs fan say this:

      Quote

Pretty hard to be a star when he gets held off the ball, every single play. What is he supposed to do?

I don't get why he gets officiated this way. It's a travesty.

He tries to post up a guard, that guard is grabbing his arms and pulling on his jersey, but it's never a foul.

People wonder why he doesn't catch the pass down on the block, it's because he is getting hacked. It's wrong.

It's the truth. I never seen a big guy on the court treated worse then Kevin Love at times. Even guards are allowed to abuse him and yank him around. GUARDS. It's one thing if it was against other big men but the refs let him get mauled by small dudes too who jump on him and grab him.

I don't know even why. I mean if he was huge and black and looked like Draymond the refs would kiss his butt.

White guy bias? Someone alert liberals a white man is being abused.

      Quote

And people keep saying this is a "loaded" LeBron team. But omg, look at those numbers....

It's not. Maybe at times those guys go off but thats hardly a loaded team.

I would even get killed for saying this since I am a Kevin Love apologist, but he is IMO the best one on the team on a consistent basis after Lebron. Since those two technically do their jobs the best on a night to night basis with what their position demands them to do. And both are leaders. Kyrie is the biggest explosive raw talent on the team, but his consistency is bad.........and Kyrie can get owned by a Klay Thompson type which we saw tonight. And Kyrie was not playing great defense tonight at times either. I seen Spurs fans even say that Pops could mold Kyrie into a GREAT point guard to rival the best out there.

I think Lebron wanted Love so badly since Love is a calming influence to have around and Kyrie is kinda childish at times which is a lot like well.......Kobe Bryant. I always thought Phil Jackson kept Kobe at bay.

Kyrie was the one going off on the earth being flat for F's sake back in March.

Not that Love can't get soft, he can. But sometimes I swear he is misused even by their game plans. Lebron gives him the ball a lot hoping for a miracle 3 and it pains me to see at times.

Thats why in my fantasy Miami team I would put Love on it but I am not sure I want Kyrie even though I like the kid a lot. Sometimes I wish he could be more DAMN CONSISTENT.

Kyrie was shooting first half air balls for F's sake and Klay knocked him around at times.

      Quote

Meanwhile, the Warriors BENCH outscored the Cavs tonight. Their bench alone was outscoring Cleveland with neither Durant or Curry on the floor. Durant had a big game, but he didn't even have to really do anything. He got it made easy. Same with Curry...Klay is cold right now, but it don't matter, cause that whole team scores.

I am SHOCKED the Warriors bench was so good. I mean, seriously..........benches show up better in home games but they scored at times MORE then when the starters were out there.

      Quote

am sooooooooooooo sick of hearing the hype for Kyle Korever. LeBron haters acted like he was Reggie Miller in his prime coming there to gun 3 pointers for them. Korver is old and a shell of his former self. ZERO points tonight says it all.

Kyle Korver has this myth around him as being some big legend for some reason. He is just a big name for some reason.

Korver is just a shot chucker, thats it. He goes out there and chucks up 3's. They go in or they don't.

      Quote

They look like the 2014 Heat...old Wade, old Ray Allen, old Chalmers...LeBron all by himself in the Finals, loses in 5 but puts up a hell of a fight with no help.

But all of his haters will do everything to make this Cavs team sound "loaded" Fact is, they're a GOOD team but they're not all that great...I never bought the hype about this being the "best LeBron team ever". Put that roster up against the 2012 Heat and they would get smashed....That Heat team had a really good bench that was much better than what the Cavs have had.

But the sad thing is this team isn't that old. Lebron and JR are early 30's. Kyrie is young. Thompson is young. And Love is late 20's.

But i keep saying this but it's true. This Cavs team to win NEEDS both Lebron/Kryie to each score like 30 to 40 points with the bench showing up a bit too. Then they need to pray they can win the rebounding battle if the refs let them.

      Quote

t's just unfair. The reason the Warriors are such overwhelming favorites is cause they have 4 all stars; 2 of them that are legitimate MVP's....the Cavs have LeBron, the best player in the league but then they have Kyrie and Love who are borderline All-Stars, and that's it.

Warriors have two MVPs on their team, arguably the best SG in the league in Klay. Barkley says Klay is the best SG in the league. Draymond is maybe the best defensive PF in the league. And then the rest of them all have their roles and are good shooters.

A Cavs win btw will come soon since the odds will increase for a Warriors win eventually the more they win in a row. I did say if they won game 1 they lose game 2 but we will see.

And whoever did paint what was painted on Lebron's house in L.A........I won't even say what I would do to that person or persons on this forum openly. Absolutely disgusting to do that to a good man like Lebron James. I think Lebron was shook up today and saddened and I think the team around him is going to rise up and now fight even harder for their leader.

100% agree with you on this.

Kyrie also does the same thing Kobe did with the bad shots. Like you know, the ones Kobe would take when he has 3 defenders in his face, and just bad shots in general. To be fair, in his prime, he was the master at making bad shots work...but you either live or die off this.

Kobe got many of those bad shots to go in eventually. Not sure if Kyrie can do that or maybe someday but right now he can't.

When Kyrie gets hot he can be incredible, but when he goes cold he makes me go insane.

The problem is, people can pick on the big guys on the Cavs all they want or even the bench. But the Cavs HEAVILY depend on Lebron and Kyrie and Kyrie has to be better then he was tonight.

Kyrie did have 24 points tonight but it was very shaky so I do hate to blame him since only he and Lebron had a bit scoring night to some extent.

But it's not good enough, both Lebron/Kyrie have to be HOT to beat this team at the same time or one has to go nuclear. You need game 4 vs. Boston Kyrie to beat the Warriors.

OMG.......Tristan Thompson had ZERO points tonight.

      Deron Williams, zero points.

      Kyle Korver, zero points.

      Jefferson, 3 points.

JR Smith 3 points, that was the beginning of the damn game!

Kevin Love, 15 points but he was being anally raped the entire game and I feel sorry for him since if I was in the same room as Zaza and Draymond I would call the police.

When you got 2 starters like JR Smith/Thompson combined for 3 points, thats bad.

Nobody on the Cavs bench got hot. Nobody.

It all came down to the Cavs big 3. And Love/Lebron were being ref raped and Kyrie was in la la Kobe land chucking circus shots.

      F my life.

In a way it's amazing they did get beaten worse since the Cavs didn't show up at all tonight.

So in a way if somehow the Cavs bench got hot and Love can score into the 20's and rebound better. And if Kyrie/Lebron go nuclear.......yeah they will win.

Problem is how do you stop them on the Warriors from scoring so many easy buckets?

Oh my god, if Riley got Anthony Davis, I would seriously run out and buy a Davis Heat jersey. I am not kidding, that kid is AWESOME and he's the most exciting thing we have in the NOLA area as far as basketball goes.

For the record; most people down here do not like the Pelicans (insert Scarface joke here).

Most people I know who follow basketball are LSU fans and they did like the Hornets and kinda like the Pelicans; but they rooted for Shaq in L.A, they rooted for Chris Paul with the Clippers, I am positive they would root for Anthony Davis if he went to any team.

Anthony Davis has serious potential though...He is going to be a major star I think.

Anthony Davis is on the first NBA all start team. It's Davis, Lebron, Leonard, Harden and Westbrook.

Second is Curry, Durant, IT and forget the rest.

Third is don't know but Kyrie might be on it and Klay.

Anthony Davis is A BEAST. Many in Boston push in the media for the C's to give up the farm to get that guy. He is huge and he scores a ton. It's like........you put him on an already good team and BOOM.

But I am having fantasies of a big 3 in Miami of Lebron, IT and Davis and then add like a Paul George and you roll.

Personally I doubt Lebron leaves, but if the Cavs get swept or lose in 5 and he rips his jersey off then something is up.

Did you listen to Lebron after the game btw? He don't sound too worried but I think he sounded bored as hell.

But I don't want to dump on the Cavs either since every time they F up in the playoffs I treat them like the aazz factory.

In all seriousness IT is a free agent now. And he would fit in Miami since he is a damn little arrogant show boat. He don't need to even play defense, just use him on offense. And IT gets alllllllllll the calls. I watch so many Boston games and the refs give him small guy breaks.

I also feel like Kyrie lives on circus shots at times like Kobe. Like when he got the foul and fluke shot in the third tonight.

Lebron: Shhhh. We must not talk of such matters here in public.

      IT is a FA.

      What about Wade? And Lebron?

Riley could swing a deal for Anthony Davis I bet too.

This is one of my two orphan cats...The mother cat died. He survived and the other was a girl. They feed off Minnie, who because she lost her litter, she still was producing milk and she took these two kittens as her own.

He only stayed inside cause he was left in the rain today when Minnie moved the kittens and I guess she forgot about him. She left him on the porch and he was getting soaked, so i brought him in and first gave him a bath in the sink. I could not believe how many fleas he had on him. I had to empty the sink 4 times. After the bath, I let him sl

Hate to say it, you don't even need Wade.

Miami would just need Lebron, IT and another big star or two. All take smaller paycuts and they score 140 a game.
