I've supported Pagano for five years.    It was easy to do so.

And when we hired Ballard,  I supported allowing the new GM being allowed to hire his own head coach.

I've supported firing Pagano this entire year.   I'm looking forward to a new head coach.

Firing Pagano on the first day they could doesn't mean a thing.   It's what most teams do.   It's standard business procedure in the NFL.

The only thing I've defended Pagano against is those who think he's the worst coach in the NFL.    Those who think that are publicly admitting that they dont know a thing about football.    It's one thing to be passionate about football,  it's another thing to be truly uninformed.   Those who think Pagano is the worst coach have no idea what they're talking about.   There is no argument that he's the worst coach in football -- none.

Everyone us entitled to their own opinion. Even people who have no idea what they're talking about.  That's the way the world works.

Looking forward to the 2018 season.

Remember....  you said none.     And this was on a consistent basis all yr long.   The only one worse was Hue.  ANd he kept his job knowing there wore other circumstances for him  as opposed to the Wosrt Coach in football. PAGONENOW

Apprently you haven't been listening very closely.     (not a surprise)

But I've been calling for Pagano to be let go for a year.    And I've made it clear in countless posts.   So, I'm on the same side too.

I don't object to Pagano being fired at all.    It was time.     I, and others,  object to people trashing him on his way out the door with one bad argument after another.

If you think the last 6 years were a waste,  that's your opinion.    But others think we had a pretty good team for a pretty long time.     That's their opinion.

Again,  you can follow your own advice about not telling people how they should feel.     That shouldn't be hard.

You have been here since Pagano and Luck got here.    You are from Ca I believe and a Stanford fan I believe and that is what brought you here.  SInce you have been here you have been a RAH RAH poster for any and everything Pagano and Luck.

You may have started that you were OK with Pagano being fired but you went fighting and screaming all the way.

You will not get me to believe otherwise.    I wasn't sire if it was Pagano or Luck that brought you here.  Art first I thought it was Pagano with the way you have defended him   But I assume now that it is Luck and not that you have every truly been a COLTS fan.   It's OK.  We have all lived through the Manning Fans...  they left when he went to Denver....  I will assume if Luck is done you will do the same.

BTW. I haven't said anything about Pagano since that jouyus day last weekend.... Until you dug up a post of mine on 12/31 when I was still celebrating the firing of the worst HC in the league.

You and Crazy have more than one thing in common.....  you like to argue  even when your argument has been defeated.

Since you brought it up I want you to truly understand how happy I am so glad that Pagano is gone!!!!

The worst HC in the league... and fired immediately following the game so you know how bad Irsay and Ballard wanted to be done with his nonsense!!!!

    Right.

But there you are, a few days later wondering why people are defending Pagano.

Feel free to follow your own advice....

I have had to listen to you and Crazy's defense of him for more than a yr.   While very few on here continue to defend him, just know that the rest of us including Irsay and Ballard are on the same side

I think he would be effective as a change up but he can't pass protect.  I think we need a back who can do it all.  Big difference between the best player in the draft and Mack.

The good thing with relying on the draft for a RB is that you have them on a rookie contract for 4-5 yrs.   Look at what the Steelers had to give out for Bell last yr...  12million on a one yr deal and   His market value this yr is 10.6.

You don't have to have 5 elite lineman to have a really good OL. We need good book ends...we could settle for serviceable guards and this line would be outstanding. Few if any have 5 great lineman....its a unit...its more than the sum of its parts. We definitely need an answer at RT....but it isn't like the line has to have 5 studs to be what we need it to be....we just need it to be good....we have enough talent at qb that good is enough.

A different offenseive scheme would do wonders to improve the Oline

-I agree with the Oline, we need a couple guards and a Tackle thats it.

-Drafting Barkley instantly solves the RB problem, i think the Colts take him at #3

-I think the our Dline is the strongest part of our team, and our ILB corps is the weakest, we have some serviceable OLB so yes i agree with that.

-I think we are closer than 3 years away.

-Ty hilton is our only reciever 100% agree, i have high hopes for Rogers but not proven yet. Top 3 weakest position

    - I disagree with the back end of the defense, Hooker, Geathers, Wilson, Desir, Hairston, maybe Melvin should be good next seaosn.

Wouldnt 3 players out of 5 be an overhaul?

    2018 Salary Cap:

$176.000m = Projected 2018 Salary Cap (this is not yet determined but an estimate)
    $018.350m = 2017 Unused Rollover Amount
    ==========
    $194.350m = 2018 Indianapolis Colts Salary Cap

    $103.277m = Current 2018 Cap Commitments
$001.779m = Dead Cap Money (Phillip Dorsett is $1.044m of it. Zach Banner is $400k)
    ==========
    $105.056m = Total 2018 Cap Commitments

    $089.294m = Free Cap Space

$005.500m = Reserved for 2018 Draft Class (picking 3rd is expensive!!)
    $001.110m = Spots 52 and 53 on active roster
    $001.220m = Practice Squad
    $003.000m = In-Season “Churn” space
    ==========
    $010.830m = Infrastructure Roster Costs

$078.464m = Free Cap Space available for signing free agents (our own or other team’s)

2018 Top 10 Teams With Free Cap Space:

(Remember to subtract around $8-10m for what they can spend on free agents except for Cleveland. Subtract $14m from them due to their 2 very high draft picks.)

    $118.109m = Cleveland Browns
    $117.897m = San Francisco 49ers
    $089.294m = Indianapolis Colts
    $084.898m = New York Jets
    $070.410m = Tampa Bay Buccaneers
    $060.513m = Minnesota Vikings
    $059.689m = Detroit Lions
    $059.598m = Houston Texans
    $054.156m = Washington Redskins
    $054.021m = Tennessee Titans

Players Who Would Take Away Cap Space If Cut:

    - $7.446m = Malik Hooker
    - $3.325m = Ryan Kelly
    - $1.167m = Quincy Wilson

Every other player could be cut and the Colts would gain cap space for 2018. That is some nice veteran contract construction.

Top 10 Players Who Would Add Cap Space If Cut:

    $8.000m = Jonathan Hankins
    $7.500m = Jabaal Sheard
    $7.000m = T.Y. Hilton
    $5.250m = Jack Doyle
    $5.200m = Anthony Castonzo
    $3.500m = John Simon
    $2.200m = Andrew Luck
    $2.000m = Margus Hunt
    $2.000m = Al Woods
    $1.300m = Robert Turbin

We have a tight roster. There are no glaring folks whom we are paying money to that are not living up to their contract. I could perhaps argue that Turbin’s performance could be equaled by a lesser paid guy but that is about it in my eyes. We are not generating more cap space by cutting underperforming players because there are none of our highly paid guys who are underperforming.

It's not hard for me. That's the difference between someone like that me. Those like you make it all personal when none of us have control of any of it.

I call nonesense on that one....  You make it personal by defending him even in situations that it is obviously his bafoonery.

Also if none of us have any control about it why do you even worry about what others say or think?

I cannot wait for the Wood Chopper to get the AXE!!!!
