How many interceptions each year? Also take into account Luck was playing with and injured shoulder & I believe his completion % was higher with Chud? I personally hated Pep.

TD to Int.  2014-  40-16.  Compared to 32-13 in 2016. Completion percentage was about the same.  Sacked 41 times in 16. Only 27 in 2014.

    3rd ranked passing offense in 14.  8th in 16

Again.  The Oline that he played behind in 2014 Was bad....  really bad....   And Trent Richardson was the RB in 14. So no one respected the run.  Bradshaw was there but he got limited carries compared to Trent

And of course went to the AFCCG in 2014

Everyone can say whatever they want but Pep's offense was better than Chuds.  Pep my not have been great but he was better than Chud.   And of course it was the offens that Luck knew in his sleep.

But to be fair to both.....   A lot of the scheme may have been dictated by a HC that was looking for something that just wasn't a strength to the team and especially Luck

    Disagree

Numbers don't lie.....     and when you check them and see they are better in 14   Take a minute  to compare who was playing on the Oline in each year.  Who was the center?????     Also don't forget who the RB was.

I think the decision on bringing Frank back is made after the draft regardless of whether we get Barkely or not.

Once Frank sees what the situation is in Indy then he can make an informed decision.  He will have less

carries in 2018 so it's up to him to decide if he can mentally handle the reduced role.

If we do bring in Barkely then his role is greatly reduced as the kids will probably get the bulk of the load.

Does he really want to be 3rd in line in the offensive scheme?

Would love to have him as a RB coach if no one decides to pick him up.  Teaching the kids how to keep their

bodies and minds in NFL shape is a value that can't be overlooked.

Gore is not going to wait until after the draft to make a decision...  he is not going to sit around and wait.....

Even with luck back there's still a good number of pieces we need before our team can be contenders. plus this next draft is still not going to solve all our issues. Id rather gore walk now than redirect our attention away from getting a new running back for the future. we've made that mistake way to many times now dating back to grigs choosing to trade for Richardson instead of taking a qualified back 2nd or 3rd round in the draft.

Ok.  Fine....  but to say he needs to not be picked up because he deserves better is stupid

2018 might be Gores last chance for a Superbowl and if we were to resign him it would be a huge disappointment. He deserves a contender team, and not a team that's just in the process of catching there second wind. Thoughts?

Glad your already counting the Colts out next year.   That's the spirit

Offense:   Luck improved in 16.    And Brissett did well under difficult circumstanes.   Others who improved,  Doyle and Swoope and Rodgers and some guy named Hilton.    So did AC.    So did Turbin.

Defense:  Sheard had a decent seaason.   As did Hankins and Woods and Hunt and Mingo and Simon.    How about the secondary, where Melvin and Desir and Hairston and Farley and Milton and Moore.

I appreciate that the season was terrible,  but that doesn't mean there weren't bright spots.    Simply trying to say that nobody improved or got better under Chud and Ted is demonstrably false.

Lucks best yr was Peps last yr.   not Chuds first yr or anytime after Chud took over.  although he played well in 16.  14 was Lucks best yr

I think we can all agree to one thing on this forum at this point: Nothing would be better than the Steelers (for some reason I don't hate them as much as most people on this forum) coming back to beat the Jags and then rolling into NE and beating the Patriots next week so that we can hire a coach and get all these "rumors" "its been reported" shenanigans done with.

That being said, McDaniels at HC/OC (his OC will essentially be a placeholder considering McDanny will be calling plays) and Coach Flus at DC sounds hella appealing of a coaching staff at this stage. Imagine that plus 1 more year of a Ballard offseason. Regardless of how you feel about McDaniels, it is hard to deny that this is our best scenario at this point and we should all be rooting for this.

Why are you already so hi on Flus?

If Francesa is saying that then he's basing it on the assumption that Andrew Luck returns to 100 percent health.

Almost every story I read about ranking the HC jobs has the Colts first if --- IF --- Luck returns to his old self.    But if he doesn't, well not so much...   QB is everything in the NFL.

They also know that they will have a better idea about Luck before the draft and have the 3rd pick and could select a very good QB in the draft.    So Having Luck is ideal, there are still options

  9. For all of you wanting him to stay.  WHY?

He is not a fit for McDaniels.    He does not run a scheme that is even close to what we need here

I swear a little research before posting would raise the intelligence factor of this board.   He was here because he was like Chud. He's never been good
