lol is this a serious thread? The fan in me of me KIND of can see where your coming from. The realist in me see's a QB surrounded with question marks who started 22 games in the last 3 years...

Yeah, we should probably just trade Luck and draft Josh Allen like that one guy said...

I guess this works in a hypothetical situation where the Bills decide they don't really want to participate in the 2018 NFL Draft. Teasing aside, I do like the selections, I just have a hard time believing the Bills would offer us that much (even with us shipping pick 104). Again, no problems with the selections themselves, it's just a bit of a lofty "What if" even for a mock draft.

Jets sold the farm for #3

It's reasonable the Bills do the same

  3. Jets trade and Hankins release changes things.

    Free Agency:

    Denico Autry DE 3 years/18m

    Ryan Grant WR 3 years/12m

    Eric Ebron TE 2 years/6m

    Navarro Bowman LB 1 year/6m

    Phillip Gaines CB 1 year/1m

    Pierre Desir CB 2 years/2m

    Brandon Coleman WR 2 years/4m

    Orleans Darkwa RB 1 year/3m

Cameron Fleming OT 2 years 10m

    Draft:

    Trade back w/the Bills

    Colts get:

    #12, #22, #53, #56

    Bills get:

    #6, #104

Trade pick #56 from Buffalo for David Irving, DE/DT from the Cowboys

R1Pick 12: Denzel Ward CB Ohio State

    Alternate: (Jaire Alexander CB Louisville)

    R1Pick 22: Will Hernandez OG Texas-El Paso

R2Pick 36: Rashaan Evans LB Alabama

R2Pick 37: Isaiah Wynn OG Georgia

R2Pick 49: Maurice Hurst DT Michigan

R2Pick 53: Ronald Jones II RB USC

R3Pick 67: Dante Pettis WR Washington

    R5Pick 140: Jeff Holland OLB/DE Auburn

    R6Pick 178: Quin Blanding S Virginia

R7Pick 221: Levi Wallace CB Alabama

    Terrible first round

    We don't need another safety.

And rather have Wynn or Hernandez over McGlinchey.

Other than that its pretty good - I really like Guice and Dawson.

We wouldn't need an OG with Mewhort on a prove it deal and Jenson/Kelly at the other G spot

    McGlinchey is a great RT.

And I don't figure that many people would be attracted to James anyways, so I can't really say anything there

    Guice is a monster

  5. Free Agency

    Ndamukong Suh DT - 2 years - 31m

Still a top 5 defensive lineman in the league, him next to Hankins would be a great interior

    Tahir Whitehead LB - 3 years - 21m

Would plug into the WLB, under the radar kind of guy

    Jordan Matthews WR - 2 years - 12m

Talent shows, needs to stay healthy. Would be a nice addition to the thin receiving core

    Rashaan Melvin CB - 2 years 21m

    Jack Mewhort OG - 1 year 3m

    Ryan Jensen IOL - 3 years 15m

Can plug into OG/C if we move Kelly to G and bring an immediate upgrade to the OL

    Draft

    Bills get:

    #3, 221

    Colts get:

    #12, #22, #53, #56

    In perspective:

Bears gave the 49ers #3, two thirds, and a fourth to move up to #2 (Trubisky)

Rams gave the Titans two firsts, two thirds, and two seconds to move up from #15 to #1 (Goff), +a fourth and a sixth

Eagles gave the Browns 2 firsts, a second, and a fourth to move up to #2 (Wentz) + a 4th

I think the trade is very reasonable, + if you factor in the other teams trying to trade up

    R1P12: Derwin James S FSU

Now this is a different pick, not sure if I've ever seen James be picked to the Colts.

I think he's one of the can't miss players in this draft and an instant superstar. I know we have Geathers and other needs but a Hooker/James secondary would be explosive.

He's an alpha dog, and a player you can put almost anywhere. Great blitzer and can cover the field and be physical enough to match up against big targets.

R1P22: Mike McGlinchey OT Notre Dame

Don't think I need to say much, Notre Dame's line was incredible and he was a big part of that success. Plug in at RT and we take a huge step further towards protecting Andrew.

    R2P36: Derrius Guice RB LSU

Physical, fast, and has vision. Love this guy as a complement to Mack

R2P53: Michael Gallup WR Colorado State

I think he can come out and be one of the best WRs to come out of this class down the line. Crisp route runner, can run after the catch too.

R2P56: Darius Leonard LB South Carolina State

Can play inside or outside, needs improvement in coverage a tad, but he's a 3 down guy. Could add some bulk aswell.

    R3P67: Rasheem Green DE USC

Had a really underrated year, lots of upside yet to be unlocked but the guy is a great pick here.

    R4P104: Duke Dawson CB Florida

Not as athletic as the other corners in the class, but is excellent at press coverage and slants, he can hit too.

R5P140: Durham Smythe TE Notre Dame

Perfect TE behind Doyle, physical blocker at the line, good hands, route running needs work.

    R6P178: Olasunkanmi Adeniyi DE Toledo

Quick rusher, nice dip move, could be our Rob Mathis 2.0

I am all about getting younger but when it comes to certain players I make an exception. He would be one. It's not like he's farting dust either, he just turned 31, not like he's 35.

I am too but everytime someone says something about a player who is 30+ all I see is:

    "Don't want him, too old"

"We're trying to get younger, no thanks"

Need some leaders and veterans on every team

  7. Suh ranked as the 5th best defensive linemen per PFF with a grade of 91.0

This talk about locker room cancer is blown out of the water

Also, the talk about getting younger is fine and all but you're not gonna win with everyone at the age of 24.

He's still dominant and would bring a aggressive attitude to the defense.

    I'm all for it

A interior DL with Suh (5th best DL via PFF), Hankins (20th best DL via PFF), and Woods (24 best DL via PFF) would be awesome.

If I were the Colts, I'd be tempted to call up the Browns and say, "If you take our guy, Barkley, at #1, then we're going to trade down to a team who wants a QB and you're going to lose out on your guy when you pick at #4." Sure, it's a threat, but it's a dog eat dog world on Draft Day.

Of course it's possible the Giants pick Barkley so... uhh,  I hope Ballard's binder has nude Eli photos.

    The Colts "guy" isn't Barkley.

TV,   he had achillies tendon surgery...he's going to play cornerback next year?   You sure?

Sidney Jones tore his and was back in 10 months

I'm sure he'll play this year
