I know Walterfootball.com is not God or anything but there is a massive difference between Rapport saying he could command double digits and Walterfootball basically saying well he was a decent starter but could stand to be upgraded.

Apparently they’re one and the same after the past few days!

Well, I'm going to put it to you this way. No plans in the draft are guaranteed. If Ballard wanted Nelson instead of Norwell, he has to worry about the Giants taking him. If he wants Chubb, the Giants could take him, if he wants Barkley, the Browns or Giants could take him. If he wants to trade down, he has to have an offer from someone and that's not guaranteed. If he wants a player later, he has to hope they reach him. Nothing is guaranteed. This was the one way we had leverage over most teams, and could buy some mid-20s players at the top of their games, and Ballard crippled the team in that regard as well and didn't get Norwell where we can't afford not to protect Luck. Right now, it's inexcusable, and even if Ballard gets his guys in the draft, he was relying on some form of Luck that we didn't need to back ourselves into. Bad day for the franchise, and especially Andrew Luck.

Colts were reported to be heavily involved for Norwell. He just chose the Jags, and I can’t blame him (no tax, championship team). Ballard can’t help that.

He was expendable.  they were 3.2 million OVER the cap before this move, as it sits, they're now under it barely. They have to be under it by tomorrow at 4 pm est.

Ive read (don’t know how reliable) that they have a couple other moves that would easily get them under the cap. This just seems short sighted to me. However, I did just see that they can designate him a post June 1st cut and save 9 mil of that dead money after he comes off the books.

One of those small receivers led the lead in yards and unstoppable one on one. Landry I believe holds a nfl record. Hilton is moved to the slot at times because he's elite. But he was drafted to play the outside which he currently has on lock.

Im not debating that Landry would help the offense. I just don’t think he’d help 13-14 mil+ worth as opposed to building the defense/Oline.

Your knowledge may be that of a hardcore, but your attitude is that of a casual, like you are ok with whatever happens and you'll go along with it. I'm the opposite, a control freak, which is why I've preferred fantasy sports to real sports the last few years.

Just because someone has a more laid back attitude or try to see positives doesn’t mean they’re “casual” or don’t care what happens. You’re really getting worked up in this thread man. Take a step back and chill.

  6. This feels terrible. But at the end of the day, I'm just a fan. Who I REALLY feel bad for are those assistant coaches that have possibly already uprooted their families and now are just lost in the void. People were hurt by this, and not just their feelings.
