Free Agency:
Brian De La Puente C (Saints)
Alex Mack would be huge but I don't see it happen. Browns have a lot of cap space and Centers like Mack are rare so I expect them to resign him. Buuut the Browns are still a dumb organization and you never know, maybe Mack wanna play in a better overall team and organization? But thats all wishful thinking. After Mack Dietrich-Smith and De La Puente are the two best Centers in free agency and both should be come for a more reasonable price.
Jon Asamoah OG (Chiefs)
I expect the Chiefs to resign Geoff Schwartz who would be also a nice option for the Colts so I would take Asamoah who is still young and a quality player.
Arthur Jones DE (Ravens)
Jones would be a huge improvement on our Defensive Line and opposite of Cory Redding we would have a nice DE tandem. He also can play DT and knows the Pagano scheme, good run stopper and can pressure the QB.
Donald Butler ILB (Chargers)
Colts need another guy next to Freeman and Butler is a good and not to expensive option at a good age (25 years)
Sam Shields CB (Packers)
Davis and Shields would be a great CB tandem. Toler is talented but just can't stay healthy and a CB who misses half of the season isn't going to help you.
Draft:
Rd2: Gabe Jackson OG (Mississippi State)
Rd3: Keith McGill CB (Utah)
Rd5: Marqueston Huff S (Wyoming)
Rd6: Jay Bromley DT (Syracuse)
Rd7: Jordan Najvar TE (Baylor)
Colts 2014/2015:
QB: Luck, Hasselbeck
HB: Ballard, Richardson, Choice +1
FB: Havili
TE: Allen, Fleener, Doyle, Najvar
WR: Wayne, Hilton, Rogers, Brazill, Whalen
OT: Castonzo, Cherilus, Nixon
OG: Thomas, Thornton, Jackson, Asamoah
C: De La Puente, Holmes
DT: Chapman, Hughes, Bromley
DE: Redding, Jones, Jean-Francois +1
OLB: Mathis, Werner, Walden, Hickman
ILB: Freeman, Butler, McNary, Muamba
CB: Davis, Shields, McGill, Butler, Price
S: Landry, Huff, Brown, Howell +1
+1 Best UDFA
K: Vinatieri
P: McAfee
LS: Overton

I like him but we can't rely on players like Muamba to come in the NFL and be a starter like Freeman. It's not happening every year to find quality starts on other league so If he turns out it would be great but I hope we bring in some more LB.
-
I would take Martin and give him a fair chance but only if he comes withoug giving up a draft pick and for vet min. We need depth and I think Martin could be good in a better environment.
-
I just hope Grigson isn't trying to fix the Offensive Line with some low budget names again...
-
It would be a bad move to keep Toler. Cutting him would free up 4 millionen and although he is a talented player he just can't stay healthy. He missed a lot of games in Arizona and most of last season in Indy. We better look for some options on free agency and draft.
-
The question is can they surround Luck with enough Talent to be a real contender? Wilson is a great QB no doubt about that but it's a fact that he is playing in a Team with way better Talent around him than Luck has in Indianapolis. This year Luck was battling deep holes nearly every game in the second half of the regular season not only because they struggled on Offense after the Reggie Wayne loss but also because our Defense was just terrible and couldn't stop anyone. Luck has the Talent to be a great one but like Peyton he just can't do it alone!
-
Browns have a lot of cap space and good centers aren't growing on trees so I expect them to resign Mack. The only way I see that Mack is hitting the open market is if he wanna play in a better organization and a playoff team.
-
Does anyone else besides me think that drafting a WR ( in the early rounds) would be a horrible decision? If you think about it, our WR corps is stacked with proven talent ( Wayne, Hilton), and is flying with amazing potential ( brazill, rogers, WHALEN).
The thing is I would be ok if they decide to draft a WR. Let's face it Reggie is coming back from a serious injury and isn't getting younger so we have to go after a possible successor sooner or later. But fixing the Offensive Line and improve our secondary should be priority number one for this offseason!
-
Rogers has a lot of potential and he showed it, had some drops but also made some difficult catches in the few snaps he played! I like him and if the keeps his head focused on football he can be a nice steal.
-
Luck because I wanna hear him speak some german ;-)
-
With all respect Samson but you don't have to be a pro bowler or rocket scientist to see that the Colts Offensive Line sucked the last two seasons!
-
Let's list and talk the players the Colts showed some interest here.
According to walterfootball.com the Colts talked to
OLB/DE Marcus Smith from Louisville
RB Jerick McKinnon from Georgio Southern
OLB Michael Sam from MissouriTE Gator Hoskins from Marshall
-
Satele and Toler. Satele isn't any good and Toler can't stay healthy that was the reason why the Cardinals let him go and he proofed that again this year. Cutting both would free up about 8 million which we could use to sign a top CB or C in free agency
-
Free Agents:
C: Alex Mack (I doubt the Browns let him go or the Colts will pay him the money he will demand), Evan Dietrich-Smith or Brian De la Puente
OG: Geoff Schwartz or Jon Asamoah. Chiefs will probably keep one of them, Asamoah is good and underrated
Draft:
Its not popular but I would give up our 2015 first rounder in exchange for an early 2nd rounder and a 4th round pick and draft with one of our 2nd rounders an OG like Cyril Richardson, Zack Martin or Gabe Jackson IF AVAILABLE and a CB with the other to replace Toler
My dream Offensive Line for 2015 would be: Castonzo - Thomas - Mack - Asamoah - Cherilus with Cyril Richardson (can play LT and LG), Holmes and Thornton backing them up. I could see Richardson getting one of the starting spots soon then.
-
exactly why asamoah...in any case i honestly dont see us signing any G. A center we will IMO, but not a G. i think the team will let donald and hugh be our starters next season
Colts are lacking quality AND depth on the Offensive Line. Thomas is coming back from a season ending injury, Thornton was inconsistent and Reitz and Linkenbach are ok if you bring them in for some snaps but not starter material. So we would be an injury away from another season with OL trouble. I wouldn't mind if the Colts trade their 2015 first round pick to get an early second rounder and draft a guy like Cyril Richardson who also played the Tackle position and sign another veteran G and C via free agency. We then could use our other 2nd rounder for a decent CB to replace injury prone Greg Toler
-
I think it is a crucial Offseason for Grigson. He had a great first year as GM but a much tougher second with some disappointing moves. He better fix the Offensive Line and get some quality starters in free agency and draft...
-
I would like to keep him. Bradshaw is good but injury prone. Ballard is good but coming back after a serious injury and Trent Richardson is a big questionmark...
-
I would give up our 2015 first round pick to get an early 2nd round pick (and 4th round pick) an draft Cyril Richardson OG from Baylor or WR Jordan Matthews.

Position/name: Age
- P Pat McAfee: 26
- RB Donald Brown: 26
- CB Vontae Davis: 25
- LB Kavell Conner: 26

This list is from ESPN.com Colts beat writer Mike Wells.....
And this list is... Long!
Here's a quick list of the Colts' free-agent players. General manager Ryan Grigson will have some decisions to make because there are several players on the list who have been fixtures in the organization, so he'll have to decide if he wants to bring them back at a reduced price or cut ties with them.Seems like Antoine Bethea, Adam Vinatieri, Pat McAfee, Donald Brown, Vontae Davis and Sergio Brown will be the toughest for Grigson to decide on. And keep in mind that the Colts don’t have a first-round draft pick this year, either.
Position/name: Age
- P Pat McAfee: 26
- RB Donald Brown: 26
- CB Vontae Davis: 25
- LB Kavell Conner: 26
- S Sergio Brown: 25
- OL Joe Reitz: 26
I would keep them

It wasn't the first time they were behind two or three scores and ended up with a punt on a 4th down in the last 10 minutes. For me it seems like the coaches constantly repeat their mistakes like runnig down the middle that never worked well the whole season, bringing in Brown to block in passing situations although everyone knows he isn't any good in pass protection, if your RB can't do anything use them as receivers Donald Brown is a weapon if he has some space and I absolutely don't understand why the Colts always look so unprepared in the first half.
-
Next Season hopefully with some changes at the coaching stuff!
-
refs are terrible but colts playcalling for most part of the games is ridiculous too!
-
Everyone knows Brown is a bad blocker why do they bring him in?

I think they have to draft at least a guard because quality is rare in this years free agency at the Guard position. Thomas is coming back from a season ending injury and at the moment we don't have any depth!
