Well the encouraging thing is that although we didn't play well we almost pulled out another spectacular comeback against one of the best teams in the NFL! Still a lot of work to do for the coaching staff and to be honest against the Broncos it was obvious that we are missing some cornerstones to be a real Super Bowl contender! Pass Rush for example is non existent without Mathis, we could use upgrades on the safety position...

I beleive our o-line played alot better than most expected....
They were on and off. Looked good and bad at times...
-
Yes, but on the other hand if you make those two red zone trips into TD you win the game! I blame the coaches and their game preparation! Since last season the Colts always look unprepared and start slow so they have to come back from behind nearly every game.

+ Defense played pretty good just was let down by the Offense
+ Richardson and Bradshaw both had a good game, they played hard and fighted for every single yard. i like!
+ still competitive even if we play like garbage from time to time - just wasted too many chances
+ Offense bounced back at the end of the game
- digging a hole early in the game like last year
- Offense looked terrible in the first half looked better in the second
- wasted a lot of opportunities
- red zone offense was terrible
- play calling by pep is frustrating
- pass rush without mathis non existent
- penalties & refs
- we always seem to go totally unprepared into the games -
A lot of wasted chances....

a lot of work to do. not all was bad. i hope chudzinski takes over for hamilton at some point in this season. can't stand that crappy play calling...
-
I love the hard work of our RB today. they are fighting for every yard!
-
Had it worked he would be a genius. It goes both ways.
even then i wouldn't call him a genius.
-
dumbest play call ever from Pep. wow was that ugly...

If Luck pulls out another Comeback he should be in the next Avengers Movie!

finally! and now comes Captain Comeback

we are dealing with the same problems we had over the last years. that's not a compliment for Grigson, Pagano and Manusky!
-
i don't get why the colts always seem to get into a game looking unprepared and without a clue...
-
aaaaaannnd we keep digging!

ah some things just never change: Poor Offensive Line play, bad play calling and digging holes early in a game...
-
Texans released S Chris Clemons! Maybe an option for the Colts at the Safety position?
-
Burley looked good and with an injury prone Greg Toler as number 2 CB I would have kept him. A 6th round pick is nice but it's not like you would get a sure thing with that.
-
FWIW Jonnathan Harrisons' old Florida Jon Halapio has been released by the patriots- he could be worth a look.
Colts had an eye on him. Could happen.

Max Bullough cut by the Texans

Rated one of the worst OG starters last year..
in other words a perfect fit for the Colts ;-)

Offensive Line was a major concern the last few years, again the Colts in my opinion did not enough to solve that problem. No depth, counting on players with injury issues or some cheap shots. It will probably another season with a terrible Oline and Luck running for his life. Great job Grigson!

I think this season will end the RG3 hype!

1. I don't think that Grigson did enough to improve our Offensive Line the last few years. If Richardson has to answer the bell so does Mr. Grigson.
2. Play calling especially in the run game is sometimes pretty awful. Pep Hamilton has to do a better job. Colts are very predictable and the Running Backs run continually run against a wall
3. Yes Richardson has to play smarter and be more decisive.

I would go:
Rd1: S (We need a playmaker at the Safety position who is an upgrage over guys like Landry or Adams. Howell is decent but injury prone)
Rd2: OLB/DE (Mathis isn't getting younger and without him the Colts lack pass rush)
Rd3: CB (Toler is injury prone it would be a miracle if he stays healthy for the whole season. Butler is decent but we need a second dominant CB besides Davis)
Rd4: OG (I don't expect Donald Thomas and Joe Reitz back next year and Colts need more depth at the G position)
Rd5: WR (Wayne is great but aging, Nicks on a one year deal so nobody knows what happens with him)
Rd6: RB
Rd7: S
