can't protect your qb, can't stop the run, and grigson takes a wr....
-
Grigson gambling again. Hope they draft a Safety like Prewitt or Tartt I doubt that guys like Lowery or Guy will be long term solutions
-
According to one of the last stampedeblue articles the Colts like what they already have on the D-Line with Kerr, Hughes, Chapman and Quarles which I absolutely wouldn't understand. I hope they draft a DT early like Phillips or Goldman but I fear that Grigson is gambling again like with the Offensive Line by relying on average players and just hope they develop into good starters like he did with the O-Line.
-
In my opinion signing or drafting a DT (with one of our first two picks) is a must for the Colts. Hughes and Chapman aren't starting material and Jones was a disappointment last season. I hope they get Knighton because he would be a huge upgrade and it would allow us to invest a high pick into another position of need to get a guy like Armstead or Kendricks, McKinney...
-
I hope the Colts sign Knighton or draft another Defensive Lineman with one of our first picks in the draft. I doub't that Langford is the answer to our heavy Defensive Line problems!
-
Could use some Safety help. Searcy gone. Adams played well but relying on a 34yr old guy is risky and there isn't much in this years draft class...
I'm ok with Cole.
-
Not concerned right now because the guys I want are still there: Knighton, Searcy, Gipson, Sheard are still available. I just hope Grigson isn't fishing in the mediocre, injury prone player sea and signs just someone to fill a gap. We need some long term solutions and guys that make an impact.
-
Players follow the money! Colts need some upgrades at the Safety position and a tandem like Searcy and Gipson would be huge!
-
It's a solid signing but we still need a long term solution.
-
Suh would be a great addition but If you ask me he costs way too much money and the Colts have a lot of holes to fill so I would save the money and invest a 1st or 2nd round pick in the draft on the Dline.
-
So far it's another body to add some competition I just hope Grigson isn't thinking he can solve the Offensive Line issues again with some cheap signings.
-
I don't expect the Colts to draft another WR, we have bigger needs and Duron Carter is actually like another draft pick. Colts will bring in a veteran WR and I think it will be Reggie Wayne for one more year with limited playing time but to coach guys like Carter and Moncrief.

Rd1: Eddie Goldman DT (Florida State)
Rd2: Kevin Johnson CB (Wake Forest)
Rd3: Ameer Abdullah RB (Nebraska)
Rd4: Jaquiski Tartt SS (Samford)
Rd5: Taiwan Jones ILB (Michigan State)
Rd6: Adrian Amos FS (Penn State)
Rd6: Brett Boyko OT (UNLV)

Save the money. Get a guy in the draft (rds. 4-5) and sign a veteran for a reasonable price add some undrafted running backs to the mix and let them battle the spots out...

Grigsons worst decision so far...

It will be a crucial year for Grigson and the Coaching staff! Don't get fooled by the Championship game this year. I don't wanna see a Colts team looking unprepared again for a third straight year in nearly every game with sloppy starts and an Offense that is looking ouf of sync for the second half of the season. Thats exactly what happened the last two years. Grigson needs to nail the draft this year otherwise it will probably his last year with the Colts.

according to walterfootball.com:
Blake Bell, TE, Oklahoma (EW)
Detrick Bonner, FS, Virginia Tech (EW)
Dominique Brown, RB, Louisville (EW)
Bryce Callahan, CB, Rice (EW)
T.J. Clemmings, OT, Pittsburgh (SR)
Clayton Geathers, SS, UCF (SR)
Derrick Lott, DT, Chattanooga (EW)
Bobby McCain, CB, Memphis (EW)

Eddie Goldman DT from Florida State
Hughes and Champan are average at best and Colts are lacking talent since years at the DT position. If Goldman is there I would pick him because he can also get pressure on the QB. We need to improve both of our Lines (Offense as well as Defense)
-
I'm really disappointed not because we lost but how we lost. You can lose in Foxboro but getting demolished and destroyed in three straight games is just pathetic! It was actually the story of this season. Colts looked unprepared, the Offense out of sync, the Defense couldn't stop anything, Play callings were awulf and stupid mistakes cost us. We played well against the Broncos but obviously Peyton Manning having another Playoff meltdown helped a lot. Getting into the AFC Championship game was nice but probably will prevent significant changes. Colts miss a lot of pieces to be a real Super Bowl contender!

Best player available or not it's a dumb move with Hilton, Moncrief, Johnson and Carter already on your team to go after another wr with your first pick and some serious needs on defense. just take the best player available at a position of need. man...
