  1. I am still shocked the Warriors only scored 12 points in the 4th quarter!  They were taking some awful shots.  I am kind of glad the Rockets won though, it makes that series even better.  It's looking like it'll go 7 which is good for the NBA.  I still think the Warriors will win the series.  I am still up in the air on the Cavs/Celtics.  Of course I want the Celtics to win  because I can't root for Lebron and would like to see that series go 7,but my guy says the Cavs find a way tonight.  I still don't think the Cavs or Celtics have a chance against the Warriors or Rockets.  The Cavs might have an outside chance vs the Rockets but that'd be it.

    Believe it, when the Cavs Role Players have to dominate they do. Thompson turns into Wilt Chamberlain and Korver turns into Reggie Miller when they need it LOL. Usually JR is Ray Allen. It's the funniest thing I have ever seen is why I have to make fun of it. They suck for 2 or 3 games but then in a must win situation these dudes turn into Hall of Famers :funny:

    -They will probably win Game 5 with JR nailing 5 3's, Korver with 5 3's too, and Thompson will have 10 Offensive Rebounds as well :rock:For fun Kevin Love will chip in with 20 since he had an off night tonight :thmup:

    Your probably right.  It's probably over in 6.  I kind of thought that after the game 3 butt whooping.  I know the Celtics are going back home, but I am not to confident.

    If the Rockets lose Game 4 it is definitely over. Regarding the Celtics/Cavs, not sure what will happen if the Cavs do indeed win Game 4. Celtics are undefeated at home so they still could win in 7. I wouldn't want to bet against LeBron in a Game 7 after what we seen in 2016 vs the Warriors but to me that would be a toss up.

    Exactly about the Rockets,  Exactly about LeBron and a game 7 too.  I am not sure the Celtics want that, home or away.  They need to win this game.  I have a bad feeling if the Cavs win tonight easily that they'll win the next 2 after that too.  I guess we'll see.  Be nice to see Boston win tonight!

    Yeah i fully expected the Cavs to blow game 3 and 4 wide open. Rockets are cooked. Better pray they can hit 20 3's for the remaining games. Because they can't even keep up..

    I agree!

  4. Houston needed that one last night in a bad way.  Durant was the only Warrior to show up.  Tucker, Gordon and Ariza all had playoff career highs.  They were on fire from 3.  I still think Golden State wins the next 2 at home.  They got blown out against New Orleans one game on the road too.  As @2006Coltsbestevercoltsbestever said, they'll get my attention if they win one in Golden State.  The Warriors beat themselves when they lose and it's not often.  Way to many turnovers and mental lapses defensively.

    I never understand using statistics like that.....first off I doubt any of those series were against Lebron James and second only what 1 of those series was this year so it has nothing to do with this current team really. Don't get me wrong it would be a huge advantage but they need this win more then the Cavs....they have to hold serve...and the Celtics have won only 1 playoff game on the road these playoffs. To me that's a more relevant stat then something that was accomplished by great Celtic teams of the past (who there were many).

    It's an all time statistic.  The Celtics franchise as a whole is 37-0 after starting up 2-0.  I am sure the Celtics Franchise have been up 2-0 on a player just as good if not better than LeBron at some point in time in Franchise history.  This current Celtics team though?  Obviously not.  That's why my point is the Celtics need to win this game to have any kind of shot at winning the series.  I also think it's just as important to the Cavs because no one can afford to go down 2-0.  I think the Cavs will still pull it off, but it doesn't matter does it?  Either team will get swept in the Finals or win 1 game at most.  The Warriors aren't losing more than a game in any series.

  6. Wow!  The Celtics throttled the Cavs.  LeBron had and plus minus of -32 in the game!  The Celtics are a dang good team.  They need their two stars though.  Great coach, great system, tons of shooters, play defense and don't turn the ball over all that much.  They do have a shot in this series if they defend well and continue to shoot well.  I still think the Cavs win the next 4 or 4 of the next 5.  I would love to be wrong though!  Huge game tonight for the Rockets imo.  Must win, if they lose this one that series will be over early.  They worked hard all year to get that #1 seed and to lose the first game against the Warriors would kill them imo.  Hopefully a nice long series though.

    Boston wins 4-1. The Process is over in 2018! Now we have our Final 4. This is the way I see it going:

    East - Cavs vs Celtics

    I think the Celtics even without Kyrie and Hayward have a legit solid ball club with Brown, Smart, Rozier, Tatum, and Horford. They also have the Defense to shut down some of the Role Players that the Cavs have like Korver and JR. They also have HCA and a better Coach as well. Having said that, LeBron isn't losing to a team that doesn't have their best player (Kyrie) and everyone knows it. I also think Kevin Love will have a GREAT series and give LeBron his necessary help. He is healthy now and has found his groove.

    -My final analysis is the Cavs in 6 (4-2). I think the Cavs split the 1st 2 games, win Games 3 and 4 at home, lose Game 5 at Boston, then close it out in Cleveland in 6. Stevens and his scrappy bunch are good for 2 wins but that is it IMO.

    West - Warriors vs Rockets

    Rockets have a very explosive team with Harden and CP3 and have HCA. They can also shoot the 3 as well if not better than the Warriors. Having said that, the Warriors have more Championship experience on their team and can play lock down Defense better than the Rockets when they have to. Durant and Thompson are very underrated Defensively and Green is a monster on Defense. CP3 wont have the series he just had vs the Jazz either, he now has to deal with Steph Curry.

    -My final analysis is the Warriors in 6 (4-2). I think in order for the Rockets to have a good chance to win this series they have to win Game 1. They cant lose Game 1 on their home court. If they lose Game 1 at home that would be a disaster to their confidence. I see this much like the Cavs/Celtics series, Warriors will split the 1st 2 games in Houston, win Games 3 and 4 at home, lose Game 5 in Houston, wrap it up in 6. I think the Warriors win Game 1 and that will set the tone for the whole series. Rockets will bounce back and win Game 2 being at home again because it will be a must win and the Warriors will be content with a split. JMO's

    Good prediction.  I can't really argue to much with that.  I have a bad feeling both series will go 5 though with the Cavs and Warriors winning.  I hope for both to go 7, make it more exciting.  We all know the finals will be a blood bath lol.

    Houston Rockets....#1 in offensive efficiency and #5 in defensive efficiency. Both better than Golden State. #1 in the league in 3 pt scoring. They are deeper. They are hungrier. They have multiple guys that they can throw at KD to force him into tougher shots. They won 2 out 3 during the regular season and they have HCA. They have more than a LEGIT chance to win. I wouldn't say they were favorites etc...but this will be the best team GS has faced in their 4 year playoff run hands down. I also think Chris Paul will come up huge in the series.

    We can agree to disagree.  Chris Paul usually chokes in the later rounds of the playoffs.  Rockets may win 2 games, but the Warriors are going to win the series.  There too good when completely healthy.  I can't wait til this series.  It will be more of an NBA Finals then the Cavs/Warriors.

    I think your selling the Rockets short. That series will go 7 and if I had to pick now...I’d pick Houston.

    Kobe is too high. Duncan was better. Move Shaq up because the whole game revolves around him. Kobe does not have great efficiency numbers. Took tons of shots and had to have the ball to impact the game.

    You legit think Houston is going to win vs Golden State?  I'd take that bet any day!  I think the Rockets will be lucky to win 2 games.  People don't understand how good Golden State is, not only offensively but defensively as well.  I guess we'll see soon enough.

    I feel for Lebron,he wills his team in the East but he just had no shot in the Finals. They WILL get swept this year. Had to shoot a record from 3 to steal one game last year. 2016 would've been over in 5 if Draymond doesn't get silly suspended. I would really say they competed the best in 2015 with Delly checking Curry.

    Problem is, the East has been weak for the past 8, 9 years.  So he wins that fairly easily then gets beat in the Finals.  Honestly, if Kyrie doesn't hit that shot in 2016 and average 28 PPG in the Finals that year, he loses that one.  Same with Ray Allen in 2013, bailed him out with a huge 3 in game 6 of the Finals.  He could be 1-7 instead of 3-5.  I don't understand how LeBron fans can't think the East is weak?  He's pretty lucky this year though, if Kyrie was healthy(and Hayward), I think the Celtics handle the Cavs.  The Celtics will be scary good next year if they both come back healthy.  Brad Stevens is a heck of a coach, but I have a bad feeling Rozier, Tatum and Brown will not be as effective against Cle.  We'll see though, I am rooting for them lol.  The Warriors may sweep the finals regardless.

    I will tell you guys what would be fair to everyone is probably this - Ranking players by decades.

    60's = #1 Wilt, #2 Russell, #3 Robertson

    70's = #1 Kareem, #2 Doctor J - NBA, #1 ABA wise

    80's = #1 Magic, #2 Bird

    90's = #1 Jordan, #2 Olajuwon, #3 KMalone

    2000-2009's = #1 Kobe, #2 Shaq, #3 Duncan

    2010-2018 = #1 LeBron

    -Maybe this is something we can all agree on. :thmup:

    Tough not to agree.  I know you've mentioned it before, but Jordan is and still is the GOAT.  The east is a cake walk.  That's why LeBron gets destroyed in the Finals.  Warriors win it this year in 5, maybe even 4.  I think the Cavs beat the Celtics in 5. Rocket lose to Warriors in 5, maybe 6.

  12. Its really pathetic how weak the Eastern Conference is.  76ers young up and coming but will experience heart break before getting over the hump, The Celtics are playing without 3 of their best player (Brown, Hayward, Irving) but still manage to pull out wins(there coach is amazing and so is there system, the future is bright for them).  The Cavs have LeBron and LeBron owns the Toronto Raptors.  I still can't wrap my head around the fact that they are the #1 seed.  I wouldn't be surprised if the Cavs win that in 5 then face either a super young 76ers team or a Celtics team without a few of their best players.  Pretty easy route for LeBron again imo.  With that being said, the Finals should be Houston vs Golden State because whoever wins that will destroy the Eastern Conference team.  Especially if it's the Warriors.  I can't understand how the Raptors go 1-16 down the stretch, LeBron goes 3-15 down the stretch and Fred Val Fleet takes the last shot twice!  Nothing against him, he's a great young player but DeRozan or Lowry has to take the last shot, covered or not.  With all that being said, watch out for the Celtics next year, if healthy.  They are going to be scary good.  I still think the 76ers will win that series and host the Cavs in the ECF.  I think that'll go 6 possibly 7 with the Cavs winning, but I can only hope not lol.

  13. Tough one.  Simmons has been in the league for a year but never played due to injury, he put up amazing numbers but arguably wasn't even the best player on his team.  Mitchell is the best player on his team and willed the Jazz into the playoffs in the Western Conference.  They both deserve it, but Simmons won this award before the season started imo.  Co Rookie of the Years is what I vote?

  14. Man game 4 was rough for the Pacers. I knew the Cavs wouldn't shoot like they did in the first half but I thought Oladipo would play better, he had an off game and it burnt the Pacers.  They still had a chance though.  They will be in game 5, every game has been close.  It's going 7.  I believe Bucks and Celtics are going 7 as well and I am sticking with my original pick the Bucks.  Wizards can't win on the road, I think the Raptors win the next 2.  Warriors and 76ers will both close out in 5.  I am hoping the Wolves win tonight to put some pressure on Houston.  Tonight is a must win for OKC, that series is a toss up.  Whoever wins tonight wins the series imo.  Playoff basketball is great!

    Cavs aren't the same but LeBron is so it's silly for me or anyone to say the Pacers should just win this series because they are deeper. Read my earlier Posts. The guy is a Top 10 player ever, maybe Top 5 ever. Pacers don't have anyone like him and the REFS give him everything. I have watched this game for nearly 40 years and know if we win, it would be a upset. Anyone should know that.

    It absolutely would be an upset.  The Pacers are 5, the Cavs 4.  I am not saying it wouldn't be an upset. I am saying this current Cavs team even with LeBron, isn't the same as previous LeBron teams.  Yes he's still great and a top 2 or 3 player in the league but he doesn't have the same team and he knows it.  If the Pacers play well offensively, keep the Cavs off the 3 and limit turnovers they can win this series.  I said from the get go the Cavs would probably win in 7.  I still think that, but the Pacers have a chance.  If the Pacers can make LeBron do it all, he's going to get tired, especially the longer this series goes.  If he gets out of this one, it's going to be another long one for him against the Raptors. I know the Raptors tend to choke in the playoffs but I think they have a better overall team than the Cavs and they'll have home court.  I don't think LeBron's making it to the finals this year unless there is a significant injury on another team.  I am not sure anyone should want him in the finals.  It would be ugly.

  16. Pacers get down by 15+ points, LeBron scores 44(at home) and the Pacers had a great chance to steal the game.  Pacers need to take care of business at home.  Make LeBron continue to work hard.  If his 3 point shooters aren't knocking down shots and K Love is hurt, the Pacers can run the table.  Anyone who thinks this Cavs team is the same as past LeBron teams is crazy.  I say this series goes 6 or 7.  If the Pacers win, it'll be 6, if the Cavs win it'll be 7.  Hopefully the Pacers can take care of home court.  Collison and Turner both had decent game 2's.  The Pacers need them to play well at home.

    Cavs will beat us tonight so don't panic if it happens. They have too or their season is basically over. LeBron going down 0-2 in Round 1 is like someone hitting the lottery. I am sure the REFS are licking their chops too. If LeBron doesn't shoot at least 10 FT's tonight I would be shocked.  Friday nights game will be the key, that is where whoever wins that will have a huge edge in the series assuming the Cavs do win tonight. We just need to take care of HCourt now.

    You're 100% correct about the Cavs season being over if they lose.  All the pressure is on them tonight.  They better knock down some of there 3's or they are in trouble.  If the Pacers keep them off the 3 point line and Oladipo does his thing, they have a great chance of winning.

  18. Didn't get on over the weekend.  A lot of good games.  I really thought Embiid would play in the game 2, if he doesn't play soon that series will go longer, I think Philly still wins though.  They would win easier with Embiid.  Pelicans Blazers is still a toss up.  The Warriors are going to handle the Spurs, the Rockets T'Wolves was close but the T'Wolves couldn't close, I think it still goes 6.  I think the Thunder win in 6 also, I think they are a horrible match up for Utah.   I think the Raptors will take care of business against the Wizards.  The Bucks had their chances against Boston, I am still taking them in an upset, I think they'll steal game 2.  Pacers looked great, I didn't realize how good they were defensively.  They played that game perfect.  Stay on the shooters and make LeBron do all the work to beat them.  It was a butt whooping.  The only thing I worry about is, if Oladipo has a bad game, the Pacers are in trouble.  Every time he went out, the Cavs made a run.  Every time he came back in, he got them their big lead back lol.  Cavs play no defense.  As I said from the beginning, this Cavs team is different than previous years, very vulnerable.  They better win game 2 or it's a wrap.

    Boston is going to be hell on wheels come next season if Irving and Hayward stay 100%. I am so proud of the Pacers this year no matter what happens now. Obviously if we get swept it will look Bad but I don't see that this season. Pacers have unreal chemistry and will make this tough for LeBron.

    I am reading there is a possibility the Celtics may trade for Leonard, if that happens LeBron's reign will come to an end in the East for sure.  I told a lot of Pacers fans from the start that Turner and Oladipo would be a good tandem to build on for the future.  They have two solid point guards, Sabonis has been a nice surprise, Thad can still play, they have a bench, and Oladipo is having arguably is best year(most improved player by far).  Oladipo is a stud. The Pacers need a good draft or need to pick up a few more pieces this off season.  They need a true SF.  I think they'll give the Cavs all they can handle.  They play hard and they can score.  Cleveland gave up 110 PPG this year.  It'll be a good series.  I give the edge to the Cavs strictly because of home court advantage.

    This is probable IMO. Not sure Bucks can win Game 7 at Boston though? Boston cheats at home.

    True!  It may be 6.  I think it's a favorable match up for the Bucks with no Kyrie or Gordon obviously.  We'll see if Jaylen Brown, Tatum and Rozier grow up before our eyes.  The future is looking good for the C's.  This could be a blessing in disguise.  They weren't winning this year without Gordon anyways, now these young guns get more valuable playoff experience.
