  1. This division is putrid. Both Houston and Tennessee have already lost their home games to the Colts. Jacksonville may be one of the worst teams in football. I really can't see the Colts losing to any of these teams this season.

That's just not true. Jacksonville isn't far from being a decent ball club. Tennessee and Jax are going to win a few games but Houston is dreadful.

  2. I hope you're right. We'll see tonight. Lets hope for the best. Hopefully Henry Anderson plays and gives us a boost on defense.

Oh don't get me wrong. A loss which I agree could happen would be terrible. But it feels like fans want to make more out of The Texans to justify a loss. And Texans are the new Raiders. Terrible terrible franchise.

  3. More competent than us yes. I don't trust Hasselback against a good defense. and I don't trust this team with all the injuries. We've lucked into two 3 point wins against the Titans and Jags (one with Luck). What makes you think we have a chance against a decent team like the Texans without Luck?

Because those teams we beat are better than Houston. Honestly I have Houston about 30 or 29th best.

  4. Never said he was going to cover for a pathetic QB as he won't. The bad QB play is what is plaguing Houston. However, if you write Watt off as a non-threat that we can easily handle is foolish as well. If you think the play of our O-Line thus far is good enough to completely contain Watt then I think you are mistaking is what I am getting at. I think we are good enough to get a win against Houston tonight with either Luck or Hasselbeck (given he plays like he did vs. Jags).

I think Watt is a great player.

But it's more than Just a bad QB. They are not good at LB, or in coverage. Actually they are a team that has regressed terribly. The Colt are a better team and need to show it today.

  5. You have to be kidding yourself if you don't see Watt as a threat. You have to remember he is putting up these stats while also being double and triple teamed at times. Which you are failing to realize leaves other Texan players free. You think being on pace 16 sacks as a 3-4 down lineman is not an impressive accomplishment? You might want to think again. 20 sacks as a 3-4 down lineman was basically unheard of before Watt. The offenses you mentioned yes they may be stagnant, but did you watch the games to see how they handled Watt? Here is the answer, you will see what Watt does tonight against our O-Line and how we account for a DOMINANT D-Lineman. I have to think you will be singing a different song after the game tonight.

But it is proven. A star D lineman cannot cover for a pathetic QB. Houston will be lucky to win 4 games all year. They are really bad. A loss tonite would be one of the worst losses I can remember for awhile. Matt Hasselbeck should be good enough for victory.

  6. Watt will probably get 3 sacks and dominate this game. The Texans will try hard as a whole and we will be slaughtered. Bad enough when we get 0 effort from the team (besides the D-Line), now Luck isn't playing another game. I don't trust Hasselback at all against a competent team. At least Clowney is no threat to us, but It's not going to matter. Really hard to have any faith at this point.

Are you insinuating that Houston is competent?

  7. Sigh how can we take this article serious. They couldn't even get the facts of the Houston game correctly. I don't remember any game last year or the Colts came back from a large deficit against Houston. Does not appear like journalists are expected to get the facts straight.

  8. When we signed him, it almost was telling that Andrew wasn't going to play. I am just glad Hass didn't get injured and he played pretty well. We got away with 1 yesterday but I will take it. If Hass plays Thursday I will be really nervous though. Houston doesn't look good but they are better than the Jags.

There not really. Getting waxed by NE doesn't mean they are awful. Jax will best Texans.

  9. Yes, it is worrisome indeed, not only because the ligaments, once stretched, have a very hard time shrinking back to their pre-injury length due to a natural inelasticity of the tissue, but also because the labrum can take a while to get back to 100% even with minor damage.

And since no dye was used in the MRI, it's impossible to know the extent of labral damage. The Colts would be foolish to rush Luck back under any circumstances, considering the long-term implications to the franchise. This is the type of injury that can EASILY become chronic.

    "Protect 12".

How the heck do you know that no dye was used?

I mean all these MD's and none decided to be thorough???

  10. I am old, and I have listened to Bob Lamey do boxing on radio as well as basketball...and the Indianapolis Racers hockey. He was FANTASTIC covering hockey...."Hockey Bob." I was 8 then...:)

He did a stint as a corner reporter for Indy 500 too.
