That's a terrible attitude and it's a problem of the world today. I trust him because he was hired for a reason, just like i trusted grigson when he was hired. People should have to lose your trust in my opinion not earn it. How can you respect someone if you can't trust them?

I don't know man, trusting until trust is lost hasn't worked out to well for a whole lot of idgenious people

The plot thickens... The letter from the dad alleging that Mixon pushed his daughter to the ground then hit her in High School was written to the lawyer of the girl he hit in the video after that incident. Who knows the legitimacy of the claim though, especially since he claims he went to the school and the school hid Mixon and brushed it all aside. I'm sorry, but if that happened to my daughter, the police would have been my first call, not complaining to the principal.

If found to be true, I'd actually have a hard time keeping him on my board, because that would show a pattern of behavior and not an isolated incident.

We'll see how it all pans out though..

People really want this guy to be a football player..the one incident was enough for me to want nothing to do with him...others...well the guys really talented though :(

And really, all of this "could" happen, except maybe the Taco pick..but that'd still leave one of Thomas/Barnett avaiable at 15.

Who went 1-14, so that Solomon Thomas is still available? I'm having trouble with this. If anyone dropped, it would be Jonathan Allen, and that would mean there are serious questions about his medical.

Accepting your premise, the only two players that I'd be excited about at #15 wold be Thomas and Barnett, and I probably wouldn't trade back because I have them a tier higher than the rest on your list (I have Thomas in my top 5, Barnett in my top 10).

  5. On NFL network last night they were talking about how the RB position maybe making a come back because the lack of talent at the QB position. Basically they were saying the elite QB's are the same as they've been forever and teams are more willing to look to a strong running back to try and offset the lack of great QB play.

That's right.  We don't need the #1 defense.  Assuming the offense can still score like last year, we need a defense that can hold teams to maybe one less score.  Especially when we are playing teams with good defenses and we are struggling a little bit to score.  We don't need a lights out - 15 points per game defense.

Don't all teams need a defense to hold teams to one less score?

  7. Your on the clock and the board looks like this...what do you do?

6 EDGE  SOLOMON THOMAS - STANFORD
8 EDGE  DEREK BARNETT - TENNESSEE
13 WR  MIKE WILLIAMS - CLEMSON
15 EDGE  HAASON REDDICK - TEMPLE
16 CB  GAREON CONLEY - OHIO STATE
18 RB  CHRISTIAN MCCAFFREY - STANFORD
19 OT  CAM ROBINSON - ALABAMA
21 CB  MARLON HUMPHREY - ALABAMA
22 OT  FORREST LAMP - WESTERN KENTUCKY
23 EDGE  TAKKARIST MCKINLEY - UCLA
25 DL  MALIK MCDOWELL - MICHIGAN STATE
26 QB  PATRICK MAHOMES II - TEXAS TECH
27 RB  DALVIN COOK - FLORIDA STATE
    28 S  JABRILL PEPPERS - MICHIGAN
29 OT  RYAN RAMCZYK - WISCONSIN
30 EDGE  TIM WILLIAMS - ALABAMA
31 LB  JARRAD DAVIS - FLORIDA
32 QB  DESHONE KIZER - NOTRE DAME
33 LB  ZACH CUNNINGHAM - VANDERBILT
34 OT  GARETT BOLLES - UTAH
    35 EDGE  T.J. WATT - WISCONSIN
  8. I think we are ok to roll with Haeg this year at RG. He does enough well that he's earned the chance to play one position in my opinion. The biggest thing I got out of that was that we need Mewhort to be healthy to allow Kelly to help Heag out when he's getting bull rushed. Then hopefully next year we won't be in the good awful shape we are on D and can afford to invest in RG if needed.

I just ran a mock where I traded back with Tampa and it worked out very well:

    Trades:
    (19, 84, 237) from TAM for (15)

    Picks:
Rd 1   Pk  19 - Forrest Lamp (G) Western Kentucky
    Rd 2   Pk  46 - T.J. Watt (OLB 3/4) Wisconsin
Rd 3   Pk  80 - Adoree' Jackson (CB) Southern California
Rd 3   Pk  84 - George Kittle (TE) Iowa
Rd 4   Pk 122 - Samaje Perine (RB) Oklahoma
Rd 4   Pk 137 - Erik Magnuson (OT) Michigan
Rd 4   Pk 144 - Shaquill Griffin (CB) Central Florida
Rd 5   Pk 158 - Rayshawn Jenkins (FS) Miami (Fla.)
Rd 7   Pk 237 - DeAngelo Brown (NT) Louisville

If we get Watt and he got a sack in Huston, would they play the "Turn down for Watt" music? I've seriously been wondering about this...to much time in the off season

The Texans made a daring move to trade their multi-million dollar mistake in the hopes of wooing a franchise QB to their cause, only to go up in flames today as he announced retirement.

    Their options now:

    An erratic Jay Culter?

    A teamless Colin Kaepernick?

    Tom Savage and Brandon Weeden?

Or more interesting, what if they decide to grab Brock back after the Browns release him?

I'd probably just sign Cutler on a 2 or 3 yr deal, then look to draft a QB in the 2nd round and coach him up for a year or two...Cutler sucks and all but he's better than what they had last year and should still give them a chance to make the playoffs with that d.

Not liking this. . . He looks like a WR to me.  I just can't see him holding up through a full season of running between the tackles.

I'm afraid he'd be limited in role to a 3rd down back or he would be moved to slot receiver or something.  Not worth a first.

3rd down is a pretty important down, you convert those and usually your going to be doing pretty well...so saying he's a third down back to me means he's a pretty valuable guy.

    Here's my DB's ranking:

    1. Marshon Lattimore

    2. Malik Hooker

    3. Jamal Adams

    4. (healthy) Sidney Jones

    5. Gareon Conley

    6. Budda Baker

    7. Tre'Davious White

    8. Marlon Humphrey

    9. Cordrea Tankersley

    10. Jabrill Peppers

I'd be ecstatic picking any of the top 3 at 15. Would have been happy with Jones before the injury and will be alright with Conley and Baker. For the rest I don't think the value is there at 15. Maybe trading down?

Where do you put that OBI one Mawifiuaalliaola guy?

Just had my best draft of 2017.

    Trades:
    (27, 59, 132) from KC  for (15)
    (65, 175, 181) from CLE for (59)

    Picks:
Rd 1   Pk  27 - Forrest Lamp (G) Western Kentucky
Rd 2   Pk  46 - Jarrad Davis (ILB) Florida
Rd 3   Pk  65 - Gareon Conley (CB) Ohio State
Rd 3   Pk  80 - Derek Rivers (OLB 3/4) Youngstown State
Rd 4   Pk 122 - Jaleel Johnson (NT) Iowa
    Rd 4   Pk 132 - D'Onta Foreman (RB) Texas
Rd 4   Pk 137 - Rayshawn Jenkins (FS) Miami (Fla.)
Rd 4   Pk 144 - Howard Wilson (CB) Houston
Rd 5   Pk 158 - George Kittle (TE) Iowa
Rd 5   Pk 175 - Josh Reynolds (WR) Texas A&M
Rd 5   Pk 181 - Shaquill Griffin (CB) UCF

I don't know about Conley in the third, most mocks I'm seeing have him going in the first, but this would be great if it happened.

I did this mock draft with www.draftwired2.com. Their board is a bit off with a few guys, but I felt overall it's a solid board.

    Trade: Our 15 for HOU's 25, 57

    Picks:

Rd 1 Pk 25 - Haason Reddick (ILB) Temple

    Rd 2 Pk 46 - T.J. Watt (OLB 3/4) Wisconsin

Rd 2 Pk 57 - Quincy Wilson (CB) Florida

    Rd 3 Pk 80 - Dorian Johnson (G) Pittsburgh

Rd 4 Pk 122 - Trey Hendrickson (OLB 3/4) Florida Atlantic

Rd 4 Pk 137 - Tedric Thompson (FS) Colorado

Rd 4 Pk 144 - Stevie Tu'kolovatu (NT) Southern Cal

Rd 5 Pk 158 - Jamaal Williams (RB) BYU

I'm generally not a big fan of trades in mocks, but I figured why not trade down 10 spots and still get my guy? I missed grabbing Hunt, but I'll take Williams as a consolation prize. Overall, this draft brings in quality players in positions of need, the top 4 potentially being day 1 starters.

I think I would drop the G and grab another CB (we need 2 starters) but otherwise I like it.
