After the ugly lose to the jags... we should be rooting for the Texans for the next couple of games. Personally, I don't want the colts to win the division. Its not like they will do anything anyways. We should just get a nice draft pick and sit Luck for the year. Rest him up and make sure he doesn't get injured again. This year is over, and we should try to get a high draft pick?

I will be rooting for you to get carpel tunnel so you can no longer post things like this to the forum :)

I know if we win these people shouldn't even Post haha

They shouldn't but I'm sure they would be on here Sunday evening talking about how things are "looking better", and since Luck will be coming back, we may have potential in the playoffs.  It's almost as if their opinion is solely dependent on what transpired in the game before they post.  If the Colts lose, it's doom and gloom!  If they win they're optimistic.  If they are on a big lose streak, everybody needs fired.  If the Colts are on a big win streak, they could win the Super Bowl.  It's either on one side of the spectrum or the other lol

  3. My hopes are that Luck starts but I'm not counting on it, so if Hasselbeck starts, and the Colts can put up 10 pts in the first quarter.  It would help the defense out tremendously!  I would pull out a bag of tricks to get an early jump.  That being said, I'm assuming the Texans defense will get to him enough that he is sidelined once again.  If the defense can force a TO or Whitehurst can sustain another drive or two, I think that may be enough to win this game!  I'm not expecting much out of the Texan offense (with Hoyer out and hardly a run game), so Vontae and a S should be on Hopkins like White(on)hurst (lol literally no separation)! and I don't see them putting up many points.  I could see this game being 16-10 or 13-6 favoring the Colts.  That's why it is important "IF" anybody other than Whitehurst starts we can put up points QUICKLY!

  4. Here's an idea, if YOU "think" the Colts should lose, keep your thoughts to yourself!!  This FAN FORUM is for people who follow and like the Colts :)  We don't care if you're a fair weather fan, who love to cheer when your team is playing great, but all week after a loss call for jobs and spread your worthless opinion to tank the rest of the season.  Say we didn't win another game odds are we still wouldn't be in the top 10!  Were talking a difference of picking 15th to picking 20-? if we do make the playoffs.  Is that something to tank over?  Is that going to make us SB contenders next year?  I guarantee you with players that have that mentality we could get the best player in the draft and we still wouldn't be playoff contenders.  It's the difference of a professional athlete and an idjit on the "fan forum"!

A lot of ???? regarding Andrew. Would love to see him healthy and playing next week, but these injuries could keep him out for more than one week.

In light of that, getting the run game going with AC coming back, hopefully having MH back (and playing better) is huge. It's going to take everybody including defense and special teams to win this week.

We shall see what happens. I for one, would love to see the Colts play their best game of the year this week and shut the mouths of those fans who have given up on this team.

Me too, but you know the birds would be chirpin when we lose in the playoffs.  I don't really consider a lot of people on here fans.

im still not ready to give up on him. Am I stupid??! I just wish they would play him more

I'm certainly not calling you stupid, but YES, go ahead and give up on him.  I don't see how he doesn't get bashed like Trent, oh yeah because the coaches finally swallowed their pride and removed him from significant playing time.  Otherwise it may be worse at this point.

I haven't the slightest idea of why people are absolving Manusky, the cold hard facts is that he has NEVER in his entire NFL CAREER fielded a top 10 defense... once again EVER!

He even took the #1 Ranked SD defense and turned it into trash in ONE season.

He needs to go, his play calling and defensive philosophies are comparable to a tickle me elmo.

    ROASTIN!! lol

  8. It is what it is, a legal hit.  Sure it is frowned upon, but nothing wrong with it.  As somebody else mentioned, Matt had the ability to either turn up field, or to get out quicker!  Looks like he had some words to share with the Jax sideline... Not a happy camper!

clowney and watt didnt do much of anything last time so I'm not worried about them

Clowney has been playing better and better.  Pats know how to contain the opposing teams best player, and they did to some extent on Watt, but Clowney had 2 sacks and still made his presence felt.  I can only imagine what that defense will do to our line...

Sad fact is, it doesn't come down to this. If we beat Houston, we still have to win 1 more. If we beat Houston and lose out, we're 7-9. If they win out, they're 8-8.

Yes, technically you are right, but realistically if we beat the Texans, we shouldn't lose to Titans AND Miami, with Andrew Luck and getting all of these players back.

  11. 6-7 Colts Vs. 6-7 Texans (Winner takes ALL).  Division and playoff birth on the line!  Who wants it more?  Who is better?  Who has more apparent flaws?

Anything that could go wrong, has gone wrong for the Indianapolis Colts!  Coming off an optimistic offseason, this team looked like it was on the up's.  The Colts showed big improvement beating the Broncos in the post season only to get stomped by the Pats.  After picking up a few high profiled names in free agency, and landing a couple good players in the draft, early season headlines had the Colts as a Super Bowl contender.  Then after losing the first 2 games of the season people immediately hit the panic button.  Gears shifted focus about Grigson and Pagano not on the same page.  Colts saved face by mounting a huge comeback on week 3 to "save the season"  however, Luck was injured.  In comes Hasselbeck, who looked to give some light into the Indy offense.  Winning the next couple of (big) games and getting the team back on track.

Things started to look up as Andrew came back as we bought together some good performances (despite losing) to NE, CAR, and NO, but capping a signature win against Denver.  With more bad news to Luck, the more questions came into play once again!  How this team would respond.  Hasselbeck was able to pick up a couple more W's after the bye, to "buy" more time for Luck!  Now it appears that Hasselbeck's luck has ran out, and now all we have to turn the season around is Andrew.  That also still remains in question.

The Texans have also had a roller coaster ride of a season with injuries just like the Colts.  Foster being out, a change at QB (that kind of turned out in their favor), JJ Watt is injured, and now Hoyer has a concussion, and perhaps will miss the showdown winner take all game in Indy.  From what little I have seen from the Texans, they have looked good.  Despite losing to the Pats, the defense did a decent job, minus a few plays.  Watt's hand seems to be well enough to play, so Reitz and Thornton (assuming the OL players come back this week) will be a handful.  JaDeveon Clowney has been gaining steam as he had 2 sacks against the Pats, and have remained somewhat healthy lately.  The rest of their defense is rather stout, so it's not going to be easy for our offense to move the ball (especially with so many guys coming off the injury list.

Depending on who is healthy, I would think Indy is favored at home, especially if the Texans are without their starting QB.  We will need Vontae to contain Hopkins and SOMEBODY to step up on defense.  Assuming Luck is back, we will need a solid performance.  Let's just pray if Luck can't go, that Hasselbeck can mustard up enough strength like he did earlier in the season against the Texans, to at least manage the game.

This season certainly has had it's up's and down's, but if the Colts lose this game, looked for them to clean slate on Jan. 4th (the following day vs the Titans last game of season)

  12. OK, time to be honest!  Where is all those people saying just 3 weeks ago Hasselbeck should remain the starter? Is it any of you who are praying Luck is back against the Texans, or (what I think) the people who want to flop for a better pick!

  13. Why would anybody want to lose?  I get it about the draft, but if that's what your focus/mindframe is, do you really think picking 5-10 spots higher is going to set us over the top?  YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME!! lol

It really doesn't matter what "fans" think, if you honestly think these players aren't going 100% next week, then you are fooling yourself.  They put in so much blood sweat and tears in the last year, to make the playoffs, not to tank the last couple of games.

Despite the end point of the season, I firmly believe we will see offseason changes.  It is pretty evident that even if we can make it in there are at least 3-4 teams better in the AFC alone.  I think we could make it to the Championship game but it is unlikely at this point.

I do think if Luck isn't playing this week, our season is probably over.  That being said, I wouldn't count out Hasselbeck if Castonzo and Thornton are back.  Dorsett and Freeman also in the mix.  Also as bad as Toler has played, it still hurts having him out.  He is our #2 corner, because he is the 2nd best on the team.  Like it our not!!

I've heard reports saying if Luck isn't practicing by Wednesday than chances of him playing are slim, but it's not up to him or the coaches.  This is the 6th week so it's probably 50/50.

True.  I predict we sweep division and lose to the Fins.

The only game I care about for the rest of the season is the Houston game.  We can't let them beat us in our house for the first time.  Playoffs don't matter to me too much.  We just don't have the team to make a deep run this year.

We've improved from last season just have been very inconsistent.  We made it to the AFCCG last season, why can't we this year?

    I really hope we lose

Why would you hope we lose?  You do realize there has been worse teams get hot at the right time and make it to the Super Bowl right?  The Colts have been banged up all year and are getting some guys back in the next 2 weeks.  Just because it's been a roller coaster ride of a season means nothing once playoffs start.  "It is a new season" and everybody is 0-0 virtually!

  16. Either way look for a new system to be installed (or at least simplified) over the offseason.  Pep didn't even know his own system I feel.  MH has claimed it's the most complex system he's even saw.  The language barrier is a huge deal, but what is scary is that they are still winning football games while having difficulties communicating.  The offense would be great if everybody was on the same page and Andrew could do no huddle somewhat often.  That's one dimension of this offense I've been dying to see.  We move the football in the 2 minute drill, why not do it more often?
