For those of you complaining about not signing any free agents yet again- when has signing free agents EVER made a difference other than when Manning or Luck were the quarterbacks? And on top of that, one could argue many of Grigsons free agent additions actually made the team WORSE. We have a quarterback now for only the 3rd time(Luck 2018, Rivers 2020) in Ballards tenure, let's see what happens. Ballard has done an excellent job, with the roster and being fiscally responsible. How many playoff games did Wilson win in Denver? How about Watson in Cleveland? Cincinnati went to the Super Bowl and then spent a fortune on their offensive line(three huge contracts) the very next free agency period and how has that worked out? Big money doesn't equal success, it usually just gives you large dead cap hits in the future(see Denver hahahaha) Keep up the good work Ballard.

Kansas City spent money in free agency and has won 2 of the last 3 superbowls

Looks like DT Christian WIlkens will not get the tag for Miami.  According to BR this morning the Colts had discussions with Miami regarding trading JT for WIlkens back when the drama started with JT’s contract.  It didn’t happen but now that he will be a FA there is a possibility the Colts could still be interested in signing him as he would be a replacement for Grover.  WIlkens is 28.

He’s getting like 3 years 60M we can’t afford that

I'll give elite to Mahommes, Kelce, Jones. Thunley and Humphrey I can dig as elite. Bolton, Sneed, and McDuffie are pretty good. Not elite. Their talent along with the others you listed are just good, not elite. They're corner back room is deep. I wouldn't consider any of them elite though, and I do like Sneed.

Take Mahommes out and alot of those talents would look their part. Mahommes is that generation QB that makes everyone around him better. It is what it is and congrats to KC for having him. Peyton did it for us. While we had some elite players then too, most were average and it showed once he was gone.

McDuffie is 1st team all pro and Snead missed out by 1 vote for all pro team. That should be considered elite

I'd say outside of a few well known players, KC is filled with mostly average talent right now. San Fran on the other hand, I'd say they are littered with elite talent almost everywhere, but qb.

Mahomes, Kelce, Thunley, Humphrey, Jones, Bolton, Sneed, McDuffie are all elite players they have really good players in Pacheco, Smith, Karlifis, plus I think their number 3 and 4 corners would start on some teams

Prior to this Super Bowl I’d say it was easily Manning over Mahomes. After this past Sunday, I’d say we now can have a more nuanced discussion.

Mahomes has never had to battle any real adversity. This was the first year he didn’t have all pro WRs and it showed in the regular season. Post season, he was a slight return to form in the first two games but played pedestrian (as compared to his previous excursions). The defense really shone this year in the post season and had an outsized effect on their success.

Mahomes has a great coach in Andy Reid and up until this past season has had plenty of offensive help.

I think we need to let more play out to determine how great he is. He has a lot going for him with his situation in KC. Let’s revisit this when he has a new HC and the burdens of paying for legit players continues. The question should be is he a Terry Bradshaw or a Joe Montana?

He won MVP last year with no all pro receivers and the superbowl

If you don’t trust your QB then you don’t have the right one.

You throwing the ball against 2 all pro DBs? Niners kept losing that matchup, that’s how the Ravens and the Bills lost
