  1. pretty sure you were the Luck troll that got banned?

Yes, at one time I got banned but I was not a troll and I never have been. I am back and I have promised not to ruffle any feathers (pardon the pun).  I put my buddy in here so you would all know who I was and to answer folks like you that ask questions and ask to be given another chance. My views are no longer extreme and are shared by many here who now try to be realistic about the Colts.  :36dancing:

  2. As you all know, the Gronk is widely considered as the best TE in the league. The Gronk is the first TE in NFL history with 3 consecutive seasons with at least 10 touchdowns. In 2011 he set the records with most receiving yards(1,327) and most receiving touchdowns (17) by a TE in a single season. I am considering him as the best TE ever in NFL history.

There are two playing now who are clearly better. Gonzales and Jimmy Graham.   :36dancing:

  3. A FRAUD

This team is just not good.  I think the majority of the blame can go to the coaches, as I have said many times on this board.  Running to prove that we are a running team is just plain stupid.  The NFL is not a running league anymore and with a coaching staff that believes that should be the core of an offence we are in trouble.  I like the run game I think every team needs to be able to run the ball however the pass sets up the run not the other way around, the old school mentality is not where todays game is.  High tempo offence with a great QB like we have will win games or at least provide a fighting chance.

Our D is just no performing, however with the lack of scoring we have produced I feel for the D.

I was being patient but honestly Pep is not the right OC for an NFL team, we need to get with the times and change things up I bet Trich gets a lot more yards if we come out no huddle and high tempo.

I love the Colts but getting blown out and getting hammered every first half just because we are "a power running team" is sad, we cant run the ball so we are not a power running team.

The game was out of hand and we still didnt give DaRick an opportunity what is wrong with this staff?  I am not a DaRick evangelist but that was our opportunity to see what he has bad or good, we were beaten try something, what happened to DBrown?  I just dont get it.

Anyway rant over, we will not be a contender until we adjust, just sayin!

So, what did you think the Colts were? They are a team that was torn down to the ground and rebuilt. Last years W/L record was a fluke. Perhaps they did themselves a disservice with that record because it raised everyone's expectations. Management knew what they really were and that is why to many free agents were brought in. We have a second year QB who has some ups and downs but mostly ups. We have a coach who missed most of last year and is just really getting started. I thought at the beginning of the year the Colts were an 8-8 team give or take a game. They are on pace to be a bit better than. If they finish 3-2, they will be 10-6 and I would certainly have thought that was over performing at the beginning of the season. The problem isn't with the Colts, it is with the fans who had unrealistic expectations. They are coming along just fine and in another two or three years they may even be contenders to win it all.   :36dancing:

  4. Oh god, not this guy again.

Yes, I am back but it is a kinder, more gentle version of what I was. I think the posters here (yes, I have been reading them) have come down on their expectations a little and I think I am more optimistic about this team than many of them are now. I'll try not to give you, the mods or anyone else a reason to complain. I even think the Colts will win against Tennessee on Sunday by 21 to 17 and the coaching staff will unleash Luck a bit and try to use the running game after the passing game is established. The injuries have really hurt this team badly. There, how is that, Dustin?   :36dancing:  I only used this to let you all know it is me. If people object to it, I will quit using it.

  5. I'm beginning to fear Luck is going to be in the same shoes as Manning in one regard.

This team is not very good and most likely will be just good enough to make the playoffs and promptly lose in first round again.  Just like Manning, Luck will be good enough to mask flaws and make it the playoffs where the team won't be as good as their record and lose.

Then the dreaded can't win the big game comments will start.

Hopefully the Colts can get a good innovative offense mind who can come up with some creative ways to maximize their best players talents.  If not every playoff game like with Peyton everything will depend on Luck.

That won't happen as long as Luck is on his rookie contract. Now, when he signs the big contract that is inevitable, they will have trouble keep great players around him. Right now, it should not be a problem at all.  :36dancing:

  6. http://ftw.usatoday.com/2013/11/peyton-manning-denver-broncos-new-england-patriots-tom-brady/

Peyton Manning was in playoff form against the Patriots — and that’s not a good thing

When push came to shove, Manning fell over. Again.

By Mike Foss – November 25, 2013 at 8:05am EST

    Today’s big winner: Tom Brady

He did it again. Down 24-0 at halftime, Tom Terrific brought the Patriots back from life support and with the help of a muffed punt, New England stunned the Denver Broncos 34-31. Brady was sublime. 344 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions.

Peyton Manning was terrible. I take that back.

Peyton Manning encapsulated Peyton Manning’s entire career Sunday night. The Broncos dropped 24 unanswered points in the first half. Bloated, stupendous, jaw-dropping numbers. Manning had support from the run game Sunday as well. Knowshon Moreno had 224 yards and a touchdown. Everything seemed perfect.

Then came the second half. When it mattered, Manning folded. 150 yards, two touchdowns, one interception.

He was outplayed by Brady. Plain and simple.

Where does this leave the Broncos? Pretty much in the same place they were before Sunday. Denver takes on Kansas City for the second time in three weeks this Sunday. On a two-game losing streak, the Chiefs could potentially be facing the Broncos without both of their starting outside linebackers. There’s no question that Denver is still in position to not only beat back Kansas City but also take the top seed in the AFC heading into the playoffs.

The questions begin when the pressure starts. When the games matter. Manning’s struggles in the playoffs have been well documented. He has a Super Bowl ring, yes. He’s also been to the playoffs 12 times and is 9-11 lifetime in the postseason. The question has always been whether Manning can step up when it matters.

He did little to dissuade those concerns on Sunday.

This article is mostly crap. Peyton didn't cause that last problem on the punt that really lost the game. I blame this one on the coach. He has a 24-0 lead in the third quarter and he went conservative with the wind at the team's back. That is when they should have been going for the kill. They didn't and they let the Pats back in the game. Peyton was still in position to win that game until that last punt by NE was muffed..... :36dancing:

  7. First our O-line couldn't repeatedly block 4 guys, also they can't run block either. **This seems to be the biggest offensive concern right now and i'm not sure how it gets fixed this year with the personnel we have.

Second our Wideouts can't get open. Right now we need to find some combination of wideouts who can not only separate but who can catch as well. reed shouldn't have been in the game yesterday at all. Brazil, Heybey and Rogers if he ever gets on the field needs to become intermediate recievers that get open consistently. Hilton is a deep threat but when he has do be designated to being a possession guy his talent is wasted.

The absence of toller is major. I had thought he was going to play yesterday but he wasn't on the field. Vaugn is not a legitimate starter from a consistency standpoint and why davis didn't shadow fitz all day is beyond me.

Where was Rainey? We just signed him to return kicks didn't we? How much practice does it take to return kicks?

Walden was actually missed yesterday as werner to me at this point is a bust. He is not aggressive enough as he needs to be whether rushing or setting the edge. Mathis can't do it all and we have no push

Not enough blitzing on third and long. Palmer had way too much time too many times yesterday in key moments when we needed stops.

Richardson is not a bust. Pep has to implement some stretch plays or more sweeps to get him outside the center/guard box. If it is his vision.. then he should be designated to outside game either left or right, because right now the interior lanes are too muddled. I watched closely yesterday a few times and the interior line was collapsed. luck hasn't been able to step up as well over the past few weeks. Richardson has nowhere to go when given the ball over the guard center gaps and he's not quick enough to bounce it outside. we have seen him try this and fail numerous times since he's been acquired. trent has to start towards the outside and allow his pounding style to carry him for 5-7 yards at a clip from a predetermined off tackle.

    Just my take

There was a reason that Cleveland was so willing to trade Richardson. You are seeing it now. It is amazing to me that the Colts want to be a power running team when the rest of the league is into the passing game. The biggest problem the Colts have is that the fans have unrealistic expectations. This team is a long way from being a contender in spite of what the fans say after about every win. They get way to high from a win and way to low after a loss. I suppose that is what fans are all about. One needs to take the long view and this team has performed way beyond expert expectations for two years. That said, there is obviously a lot of work to do and the team was not deep enough to withstand all of the injuries.  :36dancing:
