  1. So with the Jaguars visiting LOS this coming Sunday, we have a chance to pitch a shutout against the entire AFC South.

I am trying to think back to the last time we pitched a shutout and can't think of it.

Does anyone know the last time we did, or the last time ANY team did that against their divisions?

I wouldn't make a big deal out if it considering how bad this division is this year.  :D

  2. No it doesn't qualify as baiting. As I've told you before, the mod team along with most of the membership here does believe you are here to bait.

You call it 'being realistic'.........or 'keeping both your feet on the ground.'

But with most every post you take a shot at the colts and or their fans.......

I have told you that you have bridges to build with the membership to get them to believe you don't have an agenda.

    And........yet we have this

It sounds like the biggest bridge is with Superman.... :D

  3. :D

What is it with you and your habitual use of one emoticon?

    :D indicates happiness or pleasure.

Does your opinion that the Colts were fleeced by the Browns make you happy?

Nah, nothing like that. It is a play on my real name and my online name here. Just blue and that is all. A mod asked me not to use :36dancing: which I like better because the shades sort of match my picture. I am happy even with I point out something negative or positive.

  4. No one is a bust after one year.

Of course, that just fits your agenda.

I don't have an agenda. I think he is or will be a bust using your definition. You should draft a reliable starter in the first round and he isn't that. But, Grigson made sure he can't get that criticism for next year by trading that pick. I also think that was a mistake but I did admire the boldness of it and perhaps that will work out yet. Can a first round pick be a bust after two years?  :D

  5. Don't make me laugh...

First, the 2013 draft wasn't bad. Not only is it too early to judge, but we could reasonably see the top four draftees starting in the trenches next year.

Second, the 2007 and 2008 drafts were dreadful. Just plain awful.

Right now, this draft is plain awful and the number one pick is a bust. But, I'll watch to see who from that draft starts next year. My guess is that none of them will but I hope you are right.  :D

  6. And their defense was already terrible.  Watch them become the first team to score 50 in a loss come playoff time.  :Yikes:

Didn't they go 6-0 without Miller to start the season. Yes, it will hurt but if that defense plays anywhere close to average, they can still win it all. They have some other players who will be coming back for the playoffs.  :D

  7. Idc what people say, he sucks. If brown can run all over the same defense behind the same oline, there's a problem. Brown needs to be getting all the carries.

Haven't you read the thread where most people still think Richardson was worth the number one pick? The Colts were completely fleeced by the Browns.  :D

  8. I would take Trent in a heart beat right now. He is slowly getting better behind a very poor offensive line, and the more wins we get, the lower the pick gets.

It all depends on who the Browns take with our draft pick

It would only matter who we took with that number one pick. Trent was never worth a high first round pick when the Browns took him. The Colts bailed them out. I would rarely take any running back in the first round except with the last pick or two. You can always find one. I'll bet there will be a very good O-lineman available with that pick. By making this trade, Grigson can no longer be taken to task over his pick in the first round (read Werner). I would not have traded the pick for Trent but I will admit it was a bold move.   :D

  9. yes. Da'rick rogers would be a starter for the broncos...

Rogers could not make Denver's practice squad. But I am sure that you were joking with that post. It was very funny.  :D

  10. Yes he was. He was paid to be a football player. And he wasn`t. He was a pass rush specialist who played too many plays.

Very overrated and the easiest, free when they needed it, 5+ yards in the History of the NFL. A defense killer.

But he was flashy beating up the weaker, the lame, and backups, in the Regular season.

It seems to me that you should blame the coach for demanding that he play that way.  :D

  11. *ahem*

And I still feel that way. The Colts should have been able to carry on without him and they did. Have you seen how many serious injuries to star players the Patriots have had this year? They have great coaching and they just keep on winning. They kept on winning a few years ago when Brady went out for the season. I also think injuries can have more impact on one big game like the Super Bowl than they do over the course of a season. By that I mean that if Freeney had been lost for the last five games of the season, they would have been better prepared to play without him in the Super Bowl.  :D

  12. Interesting you say this. I really liked Dwight and I thought he was a very positive infuence characterwise as well as on the field. He was a "diamond" on a "desert" defense. But did you know his best year was his rookie year? 13 sacks and did not start until midway through that season (He got 14 or more sacks only one other time is his career). He also had 9 forced fumbles that year, which was the most of his career (he only averaged 3.5 FF's per season). And he had 45 tackles that year and never came close to that number any season for the rest of his career. I know he was double-teamed for a lot after that rookie season  but honestly, I saw a lot of LT's handle him by themselves. He certainly was a force on a no-name defense but I do think Dwight was somewhat overrated as well.

I don't think you give Dwight credit for all that double teaming of him did for the Colts. I think the Colts lost to New Orleans in the Super Bowl because he was hurt and they didn't have to double team him in the second half. He was a disruptive force and Dungy and Caldwell make good use of him. :D
