  1. We can't be switching OC like musical chairs. This will influence our young quarterback. I don't want a david carr/alex smith situation. If we switch again, then i'm all for andrew calling and controlling the majority of his own calls, especially at the line of scrimmage.

  2. I know, it is so maddening, I want to bang my head off a brick wall until it bleeds. People need to calm down!

I apologize for my fellow americans, they sometimes lose sense of themselves due to competition. What he (tomlin) did is a shame and an insult to our game. There's no place for this type of trash.  There's a right way...and a wrong way of doing things. I hope the league makes an example out of him.

  3. I love patty mac and i'll take the good with the bad! We're better with him, then without. I guess his personality saves him and its impossible not to love him. I believe you GOTTA HAVE HEART IN THE END TO WIN and patty has that, so i say keep him.

  4. Sure, but we are kinda the opposite. Star QB with below average team. The ravens won last year and during the regular season, Flacco was nothing more than a game manager. We need to get more depth at the CB position, draft a stud ILB, and fix the O line if we want to win the superbowl.

I honestly trust andrew more than peyton, if the game is tight in the playoffs. With manning, we always knew the game ending pick six was coming, but with andrew,i think he'll do whatever (unlike manning) he can to win, even running, which manning would never even consider. Andrew is similiar to john elway in many aspects and i'm comfortable with him.

  5. Well, you can take CJ if you know how to use him correctly....you're supposed to give him the ball in space, not constantly run up the gut with him....and with that Fred Jackson has done most of the load this year.

I would love to have CJ! He has SUPERSTAR potential, but the bills never give the guy enough touches! I wish we had givin' you guys that first for him, instead of that walking pile of worhtless dung from the browns. I would take CJ over T-RICH anyday. Heck, we could've gotten CJ for a second! We swung and missed horribly on that deal. But if T-RICH can get going in the playoffs, then all is forgotten, along with his 2 yard average.

  6. Wow, someone outside of Buffalo actually recognized this guy lol...I think he should be in contention, he's given us a shot in the arm at LB, a position that has been sorely needed with this team for the past several years.

He is good and should win DROY honestly. You guys found a pretty good player, but knowing the bills, they'll turn around and trade him or something. Heck, the colts would take kiko and C.J. off of your hands. :hat:

  7. I have seen a lot of folks saying they would only sign 4 of our free agents...I have seen some say 11.....I picked out 10 I would consider re-upping....I want to see what everyone thinks....Let me know it this is off base with the thread FX....it is yours Sir!!!

Where do you come from? We appreciate all fans of the colts worldwide and if i knew where you orginally came, i could perhaps reply better.

  8. There should have been a penalty, an ejection and a fine. Another incident like that took place in the NBA, where Jason Kidd spilled his drink on the floor intentionally, to stop play because he had no time outs left. He was fined 50k, but for things like that, and the incident with Tomlin, there should be a suspension of some sort WITHOUT PAY. We don't need interference like that in any game.

I agree. This warrents a suspension. Makes me sick that people think its okay and fine to manipulate the outcome of the game. Thank goodness, the raven's still won.

  9. Russell wilson is carried by a strong team...plain and simple. He's the definition of a "game manager" quarterback and when seattle gets into a shootout with top dogs this is revealed. This is the main reason they will never reach the superbowl, because he cannot carry a team, when the pressure is placed squarely on his shoulders. The same thing can be said about KC and alex smith as well. I don't fear neither of these teams and i hope we draw them in the playoffs and perhaps the superbowl.

  10. We have been over this before. I have never seen a more obvious tank job in more than 35 years of watching football. Look at GB this year, they have already tried three different QBs in just a few games to get a win. Colts put in the ancient Collins who promptly gets hurt and then stick with Painter for game after game after game until the #1 seed was all but in the bag. I don't blame them as I have said before when you have Luck sitting right there and your current QB is at age 35 and had four neck surgeries it would be even more foolish not to tank. But GB is in a totally different situation. Rodgers is there guy for many seasons to come and he played half the season before getting hurt for a month. Their GM admitted not having a capable back up in there but at least they have tried different guys to keep in the hunt.

A tank job of that size would involve too many different variables, such as owner, gm and players. Not to mention playing just good enough to make it seem legit. I'm pretty sure polian wouldn't agree to that, since he would be canned along with his son and alot of players lost their jobs as well. This just isn't possible...sorry. I suggest you read my excellent thread about the occam's razor theory, that pertains to the simpliest explaination tends to be the correct one. The short answer is we majorly sucked that year, due to manning's bloated contract and when he got injured the holes within the team became obvious.

  11. Please explain how a rookie adjusting to NFL speed and simultaneously learning an entirely new position and both roles that come with it constitutes a guaranteed bust. He is and always was a project player.

You don't take "project player's" in the first round, when your O-LINE is putrid. I almost vomited, when werner's name was called. We should've traded back and gained additional picks and selected warford and keenan, along with never trading up to select hughes. Our draft was horrid to say the least, with werner, hughes, the alcoholic guy and holmes being epic flops thus far. The thornton pick looks like a good depth pick though. I added holmes, because i've already seen him play and he's another satele.

  12. IIRC Alonso's average depth of tackle is like 3 yards. And Bowman is hardly a by product of Willis. His best games have come when Willis missed time.

We can agree to disagree tho.

But i had no idea that willis was so young, i thought the dude was like 32.

  13. Yes I would definitely take them because they have proven to be better players. Plus, Patrick Willis is only 28. I would definitely take a HOF ILB that's in his prime right now.

Bowman is a byproduct of willis in SF and alonso has inflated stats due to him tackling people 10 yards down the field (similiar to pat angerer). I think lee is overall fairly good, but not in a kuechly mold. There's no way none of those guys would go before him.

  14. Not really, I think he only had this years money guaranteed.

I like the guy and there's a HUGE difference when he's out of our line-up (even davis has been garbage, since toler's injury). But he just doesn't play enough to warrent the money. The good news is, he'll be fresh for the playoffs.

  15. Nah all those guys I mentioned are better in every aspect of the game. Kuechly is good though.

He needs to learn how to cover.

You would honestly take lee, bowman or alonso over luke? Yes, willis is almost as good, but getting old. I think jj and luke are the two best defensive players in the NFL.
