I'm just saying they are misleading.  He only had a 1 or two that were impressive and not missed assignments or the like by the offense.

ah, I'm pickin' up what you're putting down, and can see your point.

If you looked at his sacks and not the numbers he didn't.

his sacks were indicative of pass rushing potential weren't they?  what other  numbers was I supposed to not look at?

He is obviously a hell of a pass rusher. Your definitely not overrating him. My point was plenty of teams have pass rushers that can put up multiple double digit sack seasons

This is true, and we have one also, he's just ancient in football years = (

[59]Maybe I am overrating Miller, but most teams really have a guy producing like that?  14 sacks the year after an ACL?  He's 21st in active sack leaders league wide...... and he's done that in 4.5 seasons

I don't get it.. I've seen Ryan Grigson make trades for players and I've sat through nearly half a dozen drafts for the Colts since we brought Ryan here back in 2012 when basically Andrew Luck was handed to him. We gave away high draft picks for a corner and even a running back.. but besides the offensive line, why haven't we done more to address the pass rush situation? Why haven't we done more to replace the only guy who's 35 and is pretty much the only guy on our defense that poses any threat at rushing the QB. The Colts tried when they wasted a first round pick on a guy who was a project in Bjoern Werner (and we all saw how that turned out for us) And this season our only hope is that our two aging outside linebackers  can play to a level that we haven't seen either one of them do in 3 or so more years. The Colts seemed high on Earl Okine and the guy couldn't even make the final 53 man roster.

We do have some pretty solid guys who can develop pressure from the inside IF THEY CAN STAY ON THE FIELD. But in all seriousness, I'm shocked that the Colts haven't tried to do more in getting themselves a disruptive OLB.. this team is lacking a Von Miller like presence and getting someone that the opposing teams have to always be wondering about every time they drop back to pass the ball down field is a must.

Having a solid pass rush would also help our depleted secondary. I just don't think I can sit through another season of watching opposing Quarterbacks literally have all day to throw the ball.

    Sorry for the rant.

Around 28 teams are lacking a Von Miller like presence.....

Ps. Reggie was on IR.  Dwayne Allen was on IR.  Doyle was the #2 TE and Hayward-bey was the #2 receiver.  So yeah, rogers got plenty of opportunities

shhh..... I'm trying to be the irrational argumentative PS player fanboy in this thread!  lol

If he ran better routes and was able to get open, he'd have been targeted more often.

riggghht..... did you watch those games, or do you just not remember that team?  TY, Reggie, a base 2 TE offense.......  he wasn't usually on the field......

Well, the other problem with Rogers was that he only showed anything in those 2 games.  After that he didn't do squat.  Believe me, I was as hopeful for him to succeed as anyone and of the list of players I mentioned, he was the one I thought had the best chance to make it.  If he truly had the talent to be a star then some team would have given him another chance.  T.O. and Moss were headcases too but they legitimately did have the talent to make some teams overlook their attitudes and off-field actions.  :)

Huh?  He averaged over 10 yards per catch in every game he played, wasn't targeted often...... and as for showing nothing after those games, he only played in the Playoff game the week after the KC game, then was cut before the next year......  so, aside from the off-field issues, you were unhappy with his play in 3 games in his entire 7 game Colts career, playoffs included? lol

American sizes are.... generous at the best of times :P

Guess I don't understand.....  I own bothAmerican, and European clothing, an American size S is equivalent to a European 44/46  anything smaller than that is an XS.,,  US mediums are equal to Euro 48/50's...... not a massive difference unless you fall on the 44 side of a small, and the US company sizes a Medium closer to a Euro 50...... but it's always different company to company......  unless I am missing the point here.....

  10. Polian didn't pay top dollar to retain OLB'ers back then, and it was hard to argue against him, he lost guys like Mike Peterson every year or two, and replaced them with guys who were just as effective, but for pennies on the dollar...... at least for a while, he found Marcus Washinton, Cato June ( both went on to make pro bowls), David Thornton was let go and replaced..... it worked well for about 5 years.....  Then we had Rob Morris, Freddy Keiaho, etc....

Absurd. Of course paying him such a disproportionate piece of the cap Hurt the TEAM. Good grief!!

Luck is not a quick thinker and lacks arm talent.  GL paying him top $$$.
A good chance that in a couple years he will be the 3rd best QB in the AFC South.

LMAO...... I imagine you were a big Akili Smith fan weren't you?

Actually Smith was more like horrible than terrible last year.

I know he was and basically still is a rookie in a sometimes difficult position to transform to. But if his training camp & preseason are similar to last year's he might not make it to openning day. Hoping a "light bulb" turns on in his head and he becomes a productive player.

You do realize he played exactly 20 snaps on defense AND special teams combined all of last year right? Exactly what was it you expected him to show in about 2 drives of play over 16 weeks? http://www.colts.com/news/article-1/“Humbled”-D’Joun-Smith-Ready-For-Year-Two/712805a5-b833-472e-8f89-adcd9b3621a8
