I bet we move someone up from the P.S. since we waived two...... is Justin Anderson there? or that Baker kid from E. Carolina?
-
Essex is better at Guard, but apparently we DID want him, as he is signed
-
Essex is a local kid too, not that that means anything unless you are a typical Pacers fan.... hehe
-
wow..... waived Shipley and Person..... who the heck is our backup C?
-
or, maybe they liked Essex, as a few others postulated MTC, and I thought would be a good idea...lol ; )
-
Well, MTC quashed that one, so there goes boys, woulda made a bit of sense if Justice is indeed out 2-4 weeks. Glad you cleared that one up for us MTC ; ) You are probably right, but then again, that's why this very topic was termed a rumor, due to "probably's" and "maybe's"

I knew we should have kept saturday one more year his run blocking was below average but he sure could call line blocking an pass block
Not sure Jeff would have stayed, but it might have been a nice luxury to have.....
-
I do agree on Lefeged, that guy has a roster spot all year no matter what, simply for outstanding SP teams play if he keeps that coverage up!
-
Trai Essex is still out there? Sure, he's not gonna be mistaken for a prow-bowler, or even a good Olineman, but serviceable replacement for Justice? Yep, and one who is familiar with Arian's Offensive style..... sign me up if it's a reasonable deal

What does this have to do with the price of tea in China as far as him being sick? I expected you to say he played with the stomach flu or something. What are you talking about op?
-
yeah, having that other half of the cap should help significantly with depth and quality on the lines, not to mention another draft, even though we have traded out of some high picks, I think V. Davis is worth it
-
Thing is, this was one of our tougher looking games on the schedule. Did this game tell anyone we are going to struggle horribly against Cleveland, Jx, Miami and the like? no.......
-
and forgot about Kris Adams, he gets a chance to get back at the bears for not finding a roster spot for him
-
Man, I hope T.Y. gets healthy soon, we need him out there! C'mon LaVonn and Donnie!!!!
-
he had 102 tackles last year it sounds like he can still run enough to make an impact, no question he towards the end of his career but Ray Lewis is still going strong and he is in his 17th year and still had 95 tackles in only 12 games
Before his knee injury..... don't get me wrong, I hope he is still the amazing MLB'er of old..... I just hope he has an off day today
-
Great MLB yes, but I think he's about done. Urlacher will have some moments, but he can't run anymore. sad for fans of football, he was one of the greats of the era.

Lets See.....
Glenn = Castonzo at this point in their careers..... ok
Wayne = Harrison at this point, nah..... edge Reggie, ( at this point ) more experienced
Jerome Pathon = Austin Collie, not even close.... even considering Collie's health issues
Ken Dilger/Marcus Pollard = Coby Fleener/Dwayne Allen...... edge to Dilger and Pollard, purely based on experience....Fleener/Allen has a bit more potential IMO
Jason Belser = Antoine Bethea nope. I loved Belser, but Bethea is just better and more consistently high level
Jeff Burris = Jerraud Powers pretty even in my mind.
Cornelius Bennett = Pat Angerer, nah Angerer is a MLB I know, but he's better than Bennet at this point.... was Herrod still here then? He was on the downside if so
Marshall Faulk = Donald Brown..... edge Faulk, hands down
Chad Cota = Tom Zbikowski.... ok, even I guess. Cota was hurt a lot and never really good, butZbikowski has been a career backup to this point..... he should be average at least
Not even mentioning Freeney/Mathis/V. Davis are nore talented than C. Bratzke/ rest of that Defense from 98
Thats not even mentioning the Oline's sack/ypc numbers were much better last year than 1998
Also, I'm not sure or E.G. Green or whoever else was at WR could hold hilton/brazzil/Avery's jock as a 3rd WR option
Not so sure this team isn't more talented right before the season starts, than the 98 team was at the same point. What positions does the 98 team have an edge in right before that 3-13 season? QB? even, RB, 98, TE? 98 WR 12, DB? pretty even, LB? 12, Dline? pretty even..... Oline? 12, Kicking game? 12........ yeah seems clear cut, this team right now has more established talent than the 98 team did at the same point of the season.

Urlacher will play. he said he wants to destroy the Colts and their QB.
All that Toradol must be getting to him...... lol

Please week one get here!!!!!!

at least, eaten big mac's never caused me the pain that bottle service grey goose in Orlando did....

Vontae is no angel, he just does his job. Dude blamed Mcdonalds for messing up...... On March 22, 2008, Marshall slipped on an empty McDonald's bag while wrestling with family members, and subsequently, fell through a television set at his home in Orlando, Florida - cutting his right forearm.[23][24][25] According to Broncos head athletic trainer Steve Antonopulos, Marshall "sustained right forearm lacerations to one artery, one vein, one nerve, two tendons and three muscles."[25] He was treated at a local hospital and later released after needing a cast and several stitches. In early April, Marshall had the cast removed from his surgically repaired right forearm and was in a sling until May.[26] He was cleared in late-June to practice with the Broncos.[27] He later revealed that his right hand was numb during the entire 2008 season. dunno abou toyu, but last time i feel through a TV after eating Mcdonalds, I was pretty freakin drunk.....

Depends, Chicago's Defense is pretty equal to the Steeler's difficulty wise for us. their secondary isn't any better than ours, but their D-line is light years ahead of ours. Urlacher is older, injured, and may not even play, but definitely won't be 100% nor will he be Urlacher circa 2005. On the flip side, their WR's should be improved, Forte is always good, and they have M. Bush as well now..... but, their Oline is no better than ours..... I wouldn't favor Indy, but 9.5 is maybe a bit large for the spread.....
-
dunno.... its a holiday weekend too, so it might be a bit before we hear anything. As a side note....Go ND!
-
Did you ever watch any Alabama games?
I try not to....lol......he hasn't shown much in the NFL though, has he? dunno much about his potential
