I have to say, if he's not on steroids/performance enhancers, he's one of a small handful of pro athlete in the modern era to maintain his game for so long and most of his peers did use something...

I say he's got a fair portion of "lucky" to his story, though it's not all that (there's cheating too!), but seriously he's very good. The Seahawks should have ran the ball. The Falcons blowing a major lead was their own fault, they would have won if they'd have gotten a first down in the forth quarter.

The Tuck Rule game.(oh yeah, the coin flip yesterday) I'm sure I'm missing some, but I'm fine forgetting some of it. Won't miss em when their gone and I won't let the goofy media tell me other wise.

There is definitely some luck involved, but they are a very well prepared team.  That and avocado ice-cream seems to do the trick.

When training camp starts the goal is to preform and make the team. Right?

OL coach is to get his OL and make them perform to there best. Right?

We had one of the best OL in the league and coach still gets fired. Go figure that one even though its not my guy per Reich

That would be like Ballard firing Reich because that was not my guy Josh was. even though he led them to the playoffs

Colts fans would have went crazy if that happened.

Been a Colts fan for over 50 years

My question is why have so many teams gotten rid of him after only a year or two?

It just seems odd to me.

That's tough. He is a 5'10" (some say much smaller and we will see) quarterback. He will probably end up in my top 100. Obviously there are some GMs out there who gave him a good draft grade, or he would not want to enter the NFL draft. He would just stick with baseball. Someone is in his ear telling him to go the route of the NFL.

I currently have him ranked 161, and right now that is where I would take him. Somewhere in the 5th round. He will go much higher. This is going to be one of those deals where my board does not view him as highly as the team that drafts him.

    13. Dwayne Haskins, QB, Ohio State
    24. Drew Lock, QB, Missouri
    31. Will Grier, QB, West Virginia
    36. Daniel Jones, QB, Duke
    57. Ryan Finley, QB, NC State
    89. Jarrett Stidham, QB, Auburn
    97. Clayton Thorson, QB, Northwestern
    137. Gardner Minshew II, QB, Washington State
    161. Kyler Murray, QB, Oklahoma
    170. Brett Rypien, QB, Boise State
    185. Trace McSorley, QB, Penn State
    211. Nick Fitzgerald, QB, Mississippi State
    216. Kyle Kempt, QB, Iowa State
    217. Easton Stick, QB, North Dakota State
    227. Jake Browning, QB, Washington
    236. Jordan Ta'amu, QB, Ole Miss

Thanks, I agree that he is hard to rank, if he were a few inches taller he would be a high first round pick, imo.  He may end up being taken in the first round anyway, interesting prospect.

I must have missed this. What is the “Denzelle Good Situation” people are referring to?

Good had an issue with the Oline coach, allegedly telling him that he would never play for the Colts as long as he was coaching.  This was in the aftermath of Good's brother being killed.

Out of curiosity, where would you put Kyler Murray now that he has declared for the draft?

  6. 1 hour ago, twfish said:

IMO bad move by him, he should stay in baseball. Cant imagine he will be taken very highly

I don't know, I have seen him projected in the top ten picks.  However, that could be an over estimate, if he was 6'2" he would probably be a top pick.  Teams seem to be more willing to take a chance on shorter QBs than they used to be.

On the other hand, he could be using his ability to get drafted in the first round of the NFL draft in order to get a better deal from the A's.

I think you misunderstood what he was saying.  The reporter even prefaced the question by acknowledging that Ballard had honestly admitted this time last year that he had not invested enough in that O-line.

I don't believe Ballard said "he never saw that there was terrible talent deficiency there" in reference to the O-line group from a year ago that gave up the 56 sacks. What I think he was saying (starting at ~16:08) was that he did not see a position group this year  (DL, DB, WR, etc.. ) "that was just that deficient"; referring comparatively to how bad that oline (that gave up 56 sacks) was last year.

IMO ... He then went on to allude to the D-Line and WR position groups needing attention,  and that they had made some moves try to improve them in the off-season, and these groups especially the DL would continue to be addressed.<<< This is my interpretation not his words.

You are correct in your interpretation about what Ballard said about the Oline.  For some reason I am not surprised that the other poster did not understand what Ballard was saying.

Dide, I know what he said but what I’m saying is that’s not what he meant. Sometimes when you have to comment fast, you can omit a key word that can change what you meant. At least that’s what I gathered. Anyways that play is done, I’ve explained myself enough.

My apologies, I didn't realize that you knew exactly what Mr. Davis was thinking even though he said something different.

He said there was no penalty “called” there, not that there was no penalty there. Subtle difference but relevant to your misunderstanding, and they backed it up with the replay.

I rewound it to make sure I was correct and I was.  He said "there was no penalty there at all", not no penalty called.

Now back to my question, who is the color guy on the broadcast?

  10. 3 minutes ago, chad72 said:

What does broadcast have to do with refs not calling it on the field? They did show and mention Jeffrey pulling down Lattimore, refs blew it.

I saying that the color guy was being ridiculous when he stated that there was "no penalty there".  Obviously the refs missed the call, why would the color guy say something that was so blatantly false?
