"Dope", "Fire", "Rad", "Bad", it changes every few years.... I think it's a certain age group that always seems to subconsciously do this as an attempt to differentiate from the previous one...

    Cool!

  2. I'm dead set on the base uni scheme, but I do like to see the alternates once in a while, also.

I also like the throw back helmets they brought back a few years ago (blue with double horseshoes in the back), and I'd like to see the blue pants with white jerseys once in a while.

    Do the math...

100 players...   32 teams...    a little over 3 players per team.    Some teams will have more,  some less.

But the chances of the Colts who will likely win 7-9 games this year having 5-7 players in the top 100 are just not very good.

Doesnt mean they’re not deserving...   it just means it’s not likely to happen.

Exactly, and that's why it's going to be so amazing.

Im concerned about Ballards hit rate regarding future draft picks, because if he keeps hitting bullseye, we will be in capspace hell in 5-6 years

Because all of these players might want to see big paychecks down the road, and if he keeps hitting it out of the park, we cant pay them all.

But Id rather he keeps hitting jackpots in the draft than not.

Trade bait for more future picks.

    Or, at least comp picks....

Haven't heard much about him since the W. Barely his 2nd week with us and he came in clutch in throughout the game, keeping our drives alive when the Raiders O could easily have ran away with it. He also made Rogers and his drops a non factor, which is a plus.

Glad someone made a thread on him.

His play was a pleasant surprise yesterday.

There have been quite a few badly officiated games.

IMO why shouldn't refs be held accountable for not performing?  They are paid pretty good from what I was reading. $190,000. per year is not a bad gig. It is suppose to go up to over $200,000. next season. Going to full time should have made the officiating better but I don't see it. I understand a game can't be 100% correctly called but why can't an obvious wrong call be reversed from NY?

Agreed, but adding 30 minutes to the game is in no one's interest.

Some are pretty obvious, though. Even us fans see them while watching the game live, and don't need a replay to confirm some of them. Someone in NY should be able to alert the Officials immediately and advise on a missed/bad call.

  7. For the most part, those who don't recognize the Baltimore era are:

    - Younger, and/or

    - From the Indianapolis region, and/or

    - Manning fans, and/or

    - Luck fans, and/or

Not all, but I'd guess most.

Oh, and regarding the 'Biggest Betrayal' Top 10, yeah, the move from Baltimore should be #1. What Baltimore was going to do to the Colts/Irsay's wasn't right.

It hurts. You got me. Thanks for setting me straight on a deep safety catching an interception on an underthrown pass to a receiver that also had another db covering them.  But let's also ignore the other 29 pass attempts where Darnold went 24 of 29 for 280 yards and 2 TDs and had a 113.9 passer rating.  We should crown Hooker the king of safteys for an uncontested interception on an errant theow.  Let's go ahead and schedule Hookers hall of fame induction this week before the game.  Would you like to give the introduction speech since you announced to the world my grave mistake of not blowing down and worshiping his greatness?

    EDIT.

Here is my harsh comment if anyone else wants to criticize it.

I think people overvalue draft picks most of the time.   Some people saying things like - "I wouldn't give a 2nd for Cooper".   What are the odds of getting a WR of Coopers caliber in the 2nd round next year?   Maybe you feel the GM can evaluate talent very well.   So maybe it's a 60% chance.   That still leaves 40% to fail.   Take the known commodity and let someone else have the risk.

However, it is different with good 1st round picks.

No, someone thinking "I wouldn't give a 2nd for Cooper" thinks he's of a lesser 'caliber' than you think he is.

I wouldn't give a 2nd for him, but you would, and we don't know what Ballard (the expert) thinks. I'll trust whatever Ballard does with this.
