  1. I'm going to agree wholeheartedly.  He runs great routes and has HANDS.  Beckham Jr got the pub because he was faster, but Landry is good in his own regard.

I wanted him prior to giving up our first.  Now I'm kind of verklempt because I don't think he'll last til our pick in the second, but I'm not all for giving up the farm to move up for him.  *sigh*  Maybe he'll be like Robert Woods and fall to the second...I can hope.

  2. I think Rainey looked very comfortable returning the ball. Although there was one muff he seems to be confident in that role.

That's what I noticed.  I definitely prefer him back there returning punts than T.Y.

  3. According to the article cowboys stadium only sells miller and miller lite lol

And that's true!  And margaritas are $14

At least The Drum looks nicer than The Airbag

Ha! Related to that...I think the Cardinals stadium looks like a giant baked potato in the desert.

  4. Has anyone ever been to the Cowboys' stadium...?

    What's that like?

It's big.  Very big.  It's  nice complex, but it kind of has a sterile feeling too it.  I can only speak for me, but the first time I went (the year it opened), I found myself watching the huge TV...and was wondering why I paid money to park, (which it's super expensive), for tickets...and ending up watching the giant screen for most of the game.

The second time I went (this past year, Cowboys v. Giants), we did the party pass and planned better.  The party pass is not a bad deal, but it's a long time to stand.

Edited to add:  I like LOS, but truth be told, I miss the coziness of the Dome.  The bigger and more up to date the stadiums get, the farther the fans get from the field (I feel).

  5. Every Cop or Fireman I have known were fish...

    just saying...

Yes, but they were already a cop or fireman.  Some drink because they have no control, some drink to cope with the stressors of the job. I'm not going to argue that fact.

Zbis isn't a fireman yet, and he showed he couldn't cope with the stress of the NFL, how is he going to cope with a realities of being a firefighter?  In my opinion, the red flags are already there.

And according to CFD guys, there hasn't been a test in 8 years, so I don't know how he's going to be going to an academy any time soon.

  6. My BFF and I were talking about this the other day.

I love the game of football.  More pro football than anything, but I love it.  The gender thing prohibited me from playing, but that doesn't stop me from being a couch-scout/coach/ref.  With that said, I would never be the parent that puts a football in the crib, nor would I push the game on my imaginary children.

I would let them play it, if they wanted to.  I know football is a violent sport.  It has been a violent sport.  Had I popped out children 10 years ago, I still would have known what I know now--violent collisions can/do cause injuries.  It's not a sudden revelation, ya know? The NFL screwed the pooch by saying the game didn't cause concussions, because duh.

With all that said, if my kids wanted to play, I'd let them, but I (personally) would hold off until they were a teenager (13).  They can go play soccer like every other kid in this country in their younger years...and then if they decided they wanted to go hit and be hit by somebody, that's their prerogative.  If they get hit, and decide they don't want to do that anymore, then that's their prerogative too.

  7. Andy Studebaker is currently my favorite "Who's that guy?"  Does pretty well on special teams, and had half a sack against Denver.  Plus, him man-handling Holliday on one of the punts against Denver was funny.

I really did have a "who's that?!" moment last night, with number 21.  How long has Jalil Brown been on the roster?

  8.

In seriousness people need to remember tonight the next time people fall in love with a young hot shot kicker out of college and call for AV's job.  That's what this kid was and he is struggling.  When you have a guy like AV you deal with the misses here or there because you know he's money when you have to have him.

That's why I've never been one to bring out the pitchforks when AV has a couple misses here and there, because when it comes down to it, I believe he'll make it. He might not make the 40 yarder in the first quarter, but he'll make the 50 yarder in the 4th ;)  Nobody thinks you need a kicker until you have one that keeps missing, and/or is unreliable.

  9. According to Peter Kings MMQB, it was an overwhelming headache that brought Kubiak to his knees.  So on the low end of the spectrum we have dehydration, and on the other side is either an aneurysm, TIA (mini stroke) or stroke.  Then everything in between that I don't know, because I'm not a medical doctor.

  10. DHB's inability to CATCH the ball has really annoyed me the past few weeks.  I've tried to not jump to conclusions, but dude just cannot catch with his hands and spends all his energy flailing about and jumping.  The deep ball to T.Y. that was a TD, right on the money right?  I'm thinkin' Bey-Bey wouldn't have caught it...and what good is a WR that can't catch the ball?  It's like what I was saying about Bullock the kicker.  What good is he to the Texans if he can't make FGs? NOTHING. And I'm all for cutting dead weight...

I'd rather have Brazill has 2 and Gryffindor/Coby Jack as a combo third.  I was proud of Coby tonite.  I've called him a weenie before, but boy did me proud on the 2pt conversion.  Way to finally play like a 6'6" dude, Coby!  Jazz Hands indeed.

    Go Colts!
