  1. I'm sorry that I have serious issues with $19 million for 17 tackles, but I really do. You can remain comfortable with that, I have no problem with that at all. But I think that is a horrible return on investment. Freeney is one of my favorites, always will be. That doesn't change the numbers.

Herp derp 17 tackles in our past scheme his job was not to rack up tackles.
  2. That's Cosell's ranking of players based on talent, not a draft order or prediction, as I recall.

As for the OP... I am going to get crushed, but I think I've been around long enough to survive a good beat-down... Maybe I'll tear-up a bit, but I'll recover quickly...

I think CB is the single most overrated, overpaid position in all of football. With all the new rules and limits placed on DBs, I simply don't think it matters as much today who is back there as do schemes and the ability to rush the passer. The Eagles and Jets have the best sets of CBs in the NFL, and neither made the playoffs last year. Look at the past SB winners - you have to go back a number of years to find what I'd consider a truly top of the charts shut down cover corner. The Colts won more games in the last decade without playing anything (almost) but soft cover-two zone. Did I always like it? Of course not. But this notion that a team has to have shut down corners to me, especially based on what the best of the best cost, is simply not true. So add that mindset to a rookie with about 1000 issues, and my answer is let him go on by to some other team...

I somewhat agree with you but I think you need a good collective group at cb. Just look at the Giants they have some good corners not elite but they get the job done. Along with that pass rush it just makes them that much harder to deal with. Ill take 3 good corners over 1 elite and 2 average ones
  3. Why not just go be a Broncos fan and post on their forum, clearly you want to.

I bleed blue good sir and just because I dont agree with this decision, doesnt makes me any less of a Colts fan. I havent agreed with some before this and I probably wont afterward. You all can conform and file down your single file Luck line.
  4. I think Blackmon will be a very good WR but is he really a Megatron/AJ Green/A.Johnson type WR?

Or is he more like Reggie Wayne but more physical?

Hes not like Reggie either hes a one trick pony all he runs are slants digs all to the inside he makes most of his yards off yac. Not the route runner Wayne is and not like Megatron and co
  5. I would agree with you 100% if it went both ways, but it doesn't. NFL teams terminate contracts that they agreed to every year, and it doesn't have to be because of injury. How many Colts got cut this offseason that were not at the end of their contracts simply because the new front office was cleaning house? I didn't see much outrage over that, but when a player decides that he wants to rework a contract then he is not upholding his legal obligation. It should be a two-way street.

You make a great point its a very complicated situation to say the least
  6. Thank you Peyton & Eli Fan for having a sense of humor. I appreciate that. Yes, you are correct. The 3 year time frame suggests Mickey Loomis's personal assistant perhaps...Just Kidding again!!! Sadly, this story if found true is anything, but funny. What's next hiring computer programers to hack into iPAD online playbooks now? A full metadata digital lockdown master code key?

DeepThroat couldve been former GM he knew of the device existing maybe someone told him Loomis rigged it to listen to opposing team and he didnt want to to be blamed
