The order of the opponents can make it more manageable.  I came up with this mock schedule for 2019.

    9/8 @ Jax 1pm (CBS)

    9/15 MIA 1pm (CBS)

    9/22 OAK 1pm (CBS)

    9/29 @ Hou 8:20pm (NBC)

    10/6 DEN 1pm (CBS)

    10/13 @ Ten 1pm (CBS)

    10/20 @ Pit 4:25pm (CBS)

    10/27 ATL 1pm (FOX)

    11/4 @ San Diego 8:20pm (ESPN)

    11/10 BYE WEEK

    11/17 @ NO 8:20pm (NBC)

    11/24 CAR 1pm (FOX)

    12/1  @ Tampa Bay 1pm (CBS)

    12/5  TEN 8:20pm (NFLN/FOX)

    12/15 HOU 1pm (CBS)

    12/22 @ KC 4:25pm (CBS)

    12/29 JAX 1pm (CBS)

This would allow us to get off to a decent start, have a tough middle stretch, and a manageable final 6 games.  Houston has it tougher than us as they have to play the Pats and Ravens instead.

If we're fortunate enough to win the SB, then our only decent opening home Thurs kickoff opponent for ratings would probably be the Texans.

I think the saints game would be prime time or the chiefs game

  2. We play the AFC west and the NFC south divisions next season.....very tough matchups next season I believe our home games are panthers, raiders, falcons, dolphins (again) and denver of course with our division rivals....away games chargers, chiefs, saints (gonna be a tough one), bucs, and the Steelers (I hate playing them)

  3. Wilkins got most of his ypc from garbage time anyway plus he has an issue with fumbling that miami game where he fumbled almost costed us to give up points maybe he'll improve next season

You can't have an illegal formation penalty if you don't snap the ball.

And it's dumb to blame the head coach as if he can personally oversee every detail of every game. That's literally the point of having assistant coaches, and there are like 18 assistants on each staff.

Obviously it's convenient to simply blame the head coach. That doesn't mean it makes sense.

Hey it comes with the job....look at wilkins they're already talking about firing him after one season and that team was already screwed before he got there

    If, if, if, if...

How's this: IF the Patriots jumped offsides, it wouldn't have mattered where they were lined up, it would have been first down, Colts

To the bolded, he's actually not. There are plenty of things for which Pagano deserves direct blame. That play is not one of them. The blame for that play belongs to Tom McMahon, who happens to be a great STs coach, but he messed up on that one.

Wrong....it still would've been illegal formation on indy it plus offsides on the pats penalties would've offset replay 4th down then they would've punted....I understand what you saying as far as blaming McMahon but in the media chuck will be to blame for that period because he was the head coach and he's supposed to oversee everything

If you don't think that Patriots scheme had an option for going for it there, you're mistaken. If they caught the other team aligned wrong, or with the wrong personnel on the field, they would have tried to convert on 4th down. I'm certain of it.

Another team -- I can't remember which -- tried something similar a couple weeks earlier, and the refs made them wait for the other team to sub. They wound up taking a timeout, I think.

And yes, it's obvious the Colts hadn't effectively practiced their fake, and it went horribly wrong. But people laying that play squarely at Pagano's feet are being unfair. If you want to say that play was an indication of the lack of attention to detail that sometimes plagued his team, that's fair. But blaming Pagano for that specific play is nonsense.

It was the Steelers game I had think about it....yeah belichick wouldn't have done it unless they was down by atleast 2 touchdowns and it was tight game anyway it was just a bluff then catch them off guard without their punt returner....when indy did it they was down but it was unnecessary since they wouldn't close to the 50 yard line anyway but it is what it is and chuck will always be to blame for that play

    Ugh.

It wasn't a radical concept. The Patriots just did something based on a similar concept a couple weeks ago. The idea was to get them lined up wrong and go for it, and if they didn't line up favorably, try to get them to jump. Failing that, take the penalty and punt.

The only reason it went so dramatically wrong is they had the wrong guy on the field. And that's the fault of the STs coach.

Well regardless it shouldn't have happened they had been practicing it wrong anyway it was an illegal formation and that patriot's play wasn't that much similar....they tried to get them offsides and didn't so they punted it without the other team substituting which was clever since the other team didn't have their punt returner on the field but it's history now

I know this post is a joke, but blaming that play on Pagano is like blaming the mayor for a frozen traffic signal.

It should've never been an idea that's basically why everyone started to really question chuck's coaching abilities

I’d be fine with Kelly being out this game if he would be for sure ready by the playoff game. I really don’t want him to be out for that if we made it.

Jurell Casey is on IR so whoever replaces him will not give Boehem as much trouble

I think logan ryan will be out too

I'm wondering what his contract status is.  Is he under contract for next season or a free agent at the end of this season.  Yes, I know it seems silly to sign a guy for the end of the season when you don't even know if he will even play.  Don't think CB would do that but sometimes you never know.

Well he's has to get back into football season shape anyway plus he has to earn his chance like everyone else does I'm pretty sure he'll be ready for training camp next year
