  1. Didn't we repeatedly see the same play sequence run, run, pass under Reich? If I, sitting here at home, can reliably predict the Colts plays I'm certain the professionals can do likewise. McKenzie, what were you thinking? Defense played well as did Zack Moss. The rest of the team not so much. Has the offense realized that there is a number 14 on the Raven's defense? I suspect not. #14 had free runs at our QB the whole game.
  2. I think going to a natural surface across the league will reduce all categories of injuries significantly. Simply put, the ground is softer than the surface underlying the artificial surface.
  3. I don't understand why the Colts insist on playing Ryan or Foles since neither has played well and should not be back next year. They could not do any worse with Sam playing QB and they would have an opportunity to see if he progressed or if he too should be released prior to next season. It would be interesting to know what football genius thought that Ryan or Foles would be the answer for a couple of years.
  4. Just think, they have several more games this year and therefore have time to demonstrate that they can play even worse than the 2nd half of this game.
  5. Yeah, that is why Bradley has been so successful everywhere he's been. Note the past tense in the preceding sentence.
  6. One excuse will work as well as another. These guys are paid and call themselves "professional". Results like this are due to bad coaching, bad scheme (also coaching), bad players, or a combination of these things. I don't believe the "fix" is currently in the building.
  7. It appears that the Dallas game was not a fluke! It is just what a Gus Bradley defense does! He's got to go.
  8. I thought I would be able to say something good about the Colts today! I was certainly wrong. Whoever said this defense was good was deluded. I don't believe that there is a player in the secondary who has the slightest interest in making a tackle and their pass coverage seems to consist of getting the hell out of the receiver's way. Offensively, they have retreated into their same old shell, playing not to win, but trying not to lose. It is not working.
  9. Appears to be the same old problems with the Colts: Defense: Very poor tackling in the line backers and secondary. Offense: Too many "free runners". How do the Colts repeatedly allow clear shots into their back field? Also, the play calling shows no imagination or aggression. The Colts seem to believe they can pound their opponents into submission....not happening.
  10. Ballard should be one of the first ones to leave the building, never to return. Then you start with one step at a time, transaction by transaction. Your goal should be to get players in all 3 phases that will play with tenacity and pride regardless of who is coaching.
  11. Can the Colts just "throw in the towel" this game? I don't see enough effort from them to beat a mediocre high school team, much less an NFL team. They should also consider using the same towel for the rest of the season, release some (if not most) of their high-salaried players during the off season, and start all over. This current roster seems to lack tenacity, guts, toughness, and pride.
  12. Sitting here watching the game and watching Colts miss tackle, after tackle, after tackle. I bet the players don't miss their paychecks! A little effort worthy of professionals would be a nice change for this team.
  13. Well, so far it is a typical Colts game! Defensively we don't tackle. Offensively we are totally incompetent and shouldn't be allowed on the field. There should not be any "safe" jobs this off season. I don't see evidence of any player for the Colts actually making an honest effort; they appear to be going through the motions.
  14. I didn't have many good things to say about the Colts OLine these past weeks, but today they looked pretty solid. I heard phrases like "simplify" and "play fast" and if that is what they did, it worked. I think it is the best the OLine has looked all year.
  15. And another opportunity for the Colts ownership, management, coaches and players to show what they have built is mercifully over. A big thanks to all Colts players and coaches for demonstrating how not to play the game of football. Finally, something at which you are good.
  16. Perhaps you're adept at playing QB while ducking, dodging, or laying flat on your back. Very few other people possess your apparent level of skill.
  17. This OL is so bad I would be surprised if ANY QB would willingly play behind it. I think the Colts should select a reserve OLineman and play them at QB. Maybe Prior?
  18. If I were Ehlinger I would fake an injury so they could put someone else at QB. Kind of like the tact the Colts have taken with Ryan. Any QB that plays behind that OL is going to get hurt!
  19. There we go! Pat's fumble and instead of falling on it Moore tries to pick it up and run! Didn't workout well. FALL ON THE BALL!
  20. I think you've hit the nail on the head regarding the team being unmotivated/prepared. I recall early in the season Frank saying that he could see think things coming together. I wondered at that time if he realized that the season had already been going for 2|3 weeks. These guys seem unprepared to do anything except collect their paychecks!
  21. Genius! 4th and 1. You call a play that develops deep in the backfield and comes up short! SURPRISE!
  22. This Colts team couldn't even compete effectively against an average college team. How can an NFL franchise put this kind of product on the field? Someone should be so embarrassed that they quit so that they don't have to be fired.
  23. You can't replace all of the players in a single pre season, but you can replace the GM and coaching staff from top to bottom. I think that is the path the Colts need to pursue.
