  1. Maybe he does, and if so is he wanting to take the risk to play for a team that has already been satisfied with the trade terms on the tag while leaving significant guaranteed money on the table? It’s possible, but I would think highly unlikely…
  2. He’s a very good football player and was in a great scheme/defense, especially last year. Why we would want to “tap the breaks” on him when defensive back was clearly a weak spot last season is a strange perspective to me. It doesn’t take a lot to watch his film and see that he makes plays that our defensive backs do not. Pairing him with Kenny Moore, who plays similar but smaller, would do a lot for our defense. I can understand the argument to the cost to get him. But that’s not really for us to decide on the true value. I wouldn’t be upset about him as a Colt, especially with what we retained this offseason. Gives a lot of options finishing out the free agency period, especially with a few extensions/restructures, and a whole lot of flexibility going into the draft.
  3. we just had to go there didn’t we? … no one wants Mo’s contract. Not even on the colts fan forum.
  4. yes- unless they were asking for a 2nd and others at the back end of the round were willing to give it…
  5. if it goes through, I could see Ballard trading down from 15 to make up the pick given, especially in a deep receiver class. We aren’t getting one of the top 4 guys more than likely. It would probably wait until the pick in the event someone specific fell to us.
  6. I think they are high on him, but not going to bank on him coming off injury and raw. They need a vet there to assist his development imo…
  7. if it’s as in depth as being reported, then it’s just a matter of time and working on details. The number might not even matter as the guaranteed amount and length / other stipulations.
  8. I’m not as concerned about the picks, because I don’t think it’ll be our 1st. And if they think he is a difference maker like Buckner has been for our defense, giving our 2nd and another up is worth it. The money does matter though. But again, if they deem him a difference maker worthy of the investment, then I think it’s going to be hard to be upset about in any way. Adding Sneed and a difference maker at receiver in the draft would be a good offseason in my eyes, with everything done so far. And I don’t think not getting him isn’t a deal breaker for it to be a good offseason, but other moves will need to be made…
  9. I don’t think it’s our 1st… However, it’s not like it hasn’t happened before with Buckner, so who knows…
  10. I see several saying this, but it’s been reported that the trade compensation is no longer the issue. It’s the money that is the holdup.
  11. https://atozsports.com/indianapolis/colts-trade-stalled-chiefs-cb-sneed-contract-offer/ 4 years 80 mil, 58 guaranteed would you do it?
  12. I get that. And that’s been a big problem for Ballard, not only at receiver. Turay had a lot of potential until a major injury that he never recovered from. Lewis (while still here rolling) never reached his potential for untimely injuries. It’s a crappy thing of bad luck for this franchise. And not to trip over nickels and dimes, but Strachan was the first of two 7th round picks after drafting Ehlinger.
  13. One thing that hasn’t been discussed is that these reporters have the full data on what gets the most engagement. If they know that negative undertones in their articles don’t get the engagement that glamorous ones do, then they aren’t going to write it… If it gets people writing bad things and blocking them on Twitter, they aren’t going to write it… if they don’t get full answers to their pressing questions, when they could get tons of content on softballs thrown at Ballard, then it’d be hard to waste your questions.
  14. That could bite them both in the future. By the reports, it’s not KC holding it up… I think he’d be elsewhere if he wasn’t holding it up.
  15. All points I have considered… I’d say he is a threat to hold out on the tag. In his ideal world, he wants a long term contract with them, but it’s likely not going to happen, since they have McDuffie to work in there as well in a few years. So they are willing to trade for Sneed’s sake… and for the points you make on selling high.
  16. yeah and the colts not willing to do it probably makes other teams hesitant. Especially him being the odd ball out of all that were retained by us.
  17. It could be just injury history… As much as the Colts liked him, there is definitely concerns to not bring him back when everyone else was…
  18. Stephon Gilmore wasn’t signed until April… Justin Houston wasn’t signed until March 21st. its the first week of free agency and you are complaining that holes haven’t been addressed, knowing full well how Ballard approaches free agency. And then you say that “some of you should have figured this out by now.” Lol
  19. stratchon, patmon? Just a few years ago we had 6 foot 4 to 6 foot 7 pass catchers across the board aside from one or two players… thank God we don’t play next week Chloe…
  20. Who wouldn’t do fine with Luck, TY and Ebron (catching 13 tuddys) ? my comment wasn’t about having proper players, it was about Ballard drafting and bringing receivers in that Frank preferred. Which was blatantly obvious last year when our new coach gets Josh Downs. Those types weren’t Ballard types, they were brought here for Frank…
