Any opinions from people who went? Not just writers tweets.

We can just stop the JJ Watt comparisons. He's a once in a generation freak talent a la Andrew Luck. We can only hope he is a good 3-4 DE for us. Just wish he were a few years younger.

Totally agree, for better or worse. Peters would be a perfect fit for our defense, and if he keeps his head on straight, he's going to be a really good player. But Grigson has expressed frustration with some of the dumb stuff that players have been doing lately, particularly young guys. I think there are a lot of good prospects that probably aren't on the board this year because of the antics of guys like Andrew Jackson, Trent Richardson, John Boyett, Lavon Brazill, etc.
Peters had one run in with the law in college and I believe it was for pot. The other problems were clashing with the coach. I've heard that Coach S wasn't one to like being challenged or questioned and Peters made his opinions known. A guy like Vontae Davis could really help him.

If take Peters in a heartbeat.
-
I'd take this draft in a heartbeat. But Davis won't be there that late in the 2nd.

It is awesome. I went the last two times and was disappointed they didn't have it last year. It's a great opportunity to throw a ball on the field, get a first look at the players, and get autographs! I got TY Hilton's last year and I know where to sit now to get the most.
Where is this?

If dropped 10-15 pounds.

JJ Watt. Best defensive player and possibly the best overall player in the game. 2nd would be Thomas. best DB in the game.

We drafted Werner because of need and look where that got us. I think we are ata point where we can go BPA as long as we can adequately fit him in our scheme.

215-220 seems like a better playing weight. Might help with the lateral agility/tight hips.

Trinca-Pasat was a real good player for the Hawks. He would come up with a big play when needed. He'll be a nice addition for someone.
I see him for as a 4-3 DT tho.
He could very well end up a 3-4 DE much like former teammate Mike Daniels for the Packers. At 6-1 290 he might be a little small for a 4-3 DT. Especially considering he doesn't have quite the strength or quickness of Daniels or other smaller DTs coming out of college a la Aaron Donald.

Sounds bitter. Most 34 year old receivers have lost a step. He still had a solid year with injuries. When Reggie was 34, Johnson's age this upcoming season, he had a 100 catch 1300 yard year. He was also on pace for 1000+ yard seasons before injuries when he was 35 and 36. If Johnson stays healthy, he will be fine. As big of a Colts fan as I am, I have no problem admitting Johnson has also been more talented than Reggie during their careers as well.

I never really understood the questionable motor and hot cold comments. He would not have started for 2 years under Kirk Ferentz if he was sandbagging it. I think people see the numbers and assume he isn't anything special. It is hard for Iowa D-Linemen, especially DTs, to put up huge numbers in the their scheme. It is very basic and doesn't often have them racking up huge numbers. Even 10 sacks as a DE in their 4-3 is somewhat rare. Adrian Clayborn 2009, Jonathan Babineaux 2004, Matt Roth 2003, 2004 and Colin Cole 2001, 2002 come to mind. What Davis did was his job and very well.

I wish we would have taken Preston Brown last year.
-
Castonzo, Mewhort, Thomas, Herremans, Cherilus.
That's if Thomas and Cherilus are healthy.
-
He's coming off of an 80+ catch, 900+ yard year with garbage throwing to him. I think he could do well with Luck for a year or 2.
-
Meh, I could see him dropping to the 20's easily. Typical Bama box safety
After seeing Barron, it's possible.
-
He played 2 years in our 4-3 and 1 in our 3-4. He had no prior experience in a 3-4 and was behind Freeney/Mathis in our 4-3. Not to mention he didn't have the talent he has around him in Buffalo overall. He just played on a D-Line with Williams, Dareus and Williams. it could have just been he also needed a little longer to develop and acclimate to the NFL.

Swap out Carl Davis with Phillips and McKinney with Kendricks, you would have my list. Minus some of those who likely don't drop like Waynes
Yea, it would be a shocker is Waynes dropped to us.
-
Add Jordan Phillips to that list.
Yea....forgot him.

These guys I wouldn't mind seeing taken in the 1st round at our pick. I'm torn on Gordon or Gurley. I think drafting BPA is something we can start doing over the next few years as opposed to drafting a need and reaching (Werner), as we have fewer gaping holes.
Offense:
DGB
Jaelen Strong
DJ Humpheries
La'el Collins
Defense:
Bednarick McKinney
Eli Harold
Bud Dupree
Marcus Peters
Trae Waynes
Carl Davis
Malcolm Brown
Arik Armstead

Draft DGB or Jaelen Strong. But AJ is a good temp plan.

I want Brandon Marshall to be a Colt, too. I don't think we do a trade, not with that cap hit, but I do think he will be released.
I'd give up a 4th rounder for him. He's 31 and coming off of an injured year with some pretty below average numbers that he was putting up.

I'd love to get him on a 5 year 40 million with 20-25 guaranteed. But if settle for a contract like Vontae's
