This is not about stats, it's about you cherry picking statistics to suit your argument.
He provided all the stats which are complied. He didn't cherry pick anything.

I don't know how on earth anyone can condone Bryant's antics. It perplexes me. Must be a societal thing people of my generation can't grasp.
-
No but Marino was pretty hot-headed and of course Brady can be too. I think it is a case of different personalities.
But they harnessed that and used it to benefit the team. It's not an issue of "personality". It's an issue of maturity.

Montana demanded a trade out of SF after Youngs success.....And John Elway hated losing so bad he threatened to play an entirely different sport if he had to go to a 'certain' team......
I personally just see a guy sick of losing, and sick of the cowboys underachieving culture. At least he is showing his emotions thru his actions. Where as other players and veterans on that team aren't willing to, just continually giving company lines....
Maybe that team would be better off if some of its stars like Ware or Witten walked off or emotionally exploded.....
If this were a winning team, with a culture of winning like the Colts, or the Pats I dont think I'd support Dez. But this is a team thats made the playoffs 1 time in the last 6 years. Something obviously isnt working.
Bunk.....

Yeah because that definitely happened with Michael Irvin.
Michael Irvin had off field issues, but never did you see him pull antics like that on the field. He didn't because he knew how his coach would respond. And Irvin credits Johnson for being one of the prime reasons he got his off field issues straightened out.

does anyone think the playoffs need to be changed to something like overall best records to prevent teams with better records from missing the playoffs while Division winners with worse records make it in?
No. Teams either benefit or get penalized by strength con division. That's life in the big city.
-
At least I am consistent on the issue. Give me guys with emotion and that hate to lose any day ...
Joe Montana and John Elway hated to lose but you didn't see them acting like spooned brats.

If I was the man with the authority there, he'd be gone after pulling that crap. Especially when other disruptive things have happened in the past. Any player can be replaced, especially on a .500 team which continually underperforms. They underperform because they have an owner/ GM and coaching staff which accepts, excuses and condones stuff like that.I can't say I blame him for leaving on Sunday.
If I was the man with the plan there, he go through his petulant child act one time. I'd let him know his conduct is unacceptable and If he did it again..... Gone. I'd trade him to Buffalo.
There's been zero discipline in Dallas ever since Jimmy Johnson left. Guaranteed, he'd pull that crap only one time with him as his coach, or be gone. And there's a reason Johnson left and it wasn't just because he got burnt out. There's a common denominator there and everyone knows what it is.

Des Bryant is a superb physical talent with the maturity of a junior high school kid. I understand he had a difficult time growing up, but at some point he has to mature and figure it out. I don't know that he has the ability to do that. He doesn't know how to act like an adult and a professional and he repeats the same mistakes over and over. Because of his immaturity, he can not be counted on to perform effectively under pressure. Everything must be going right for him. At the first hint of adversity he implodes.

Skip Bayless gets paid very well to do his job by the leading sports reporting network on television. If he wasn't doing what they wanted him to do, he wouldn't be there.
And that's exactly why I can't watch First Take. All it is, is two guys sitting there yelling nonsensical garbage to each other hoping a mindless demographic finds it entertaining. Occasionally, if there's some big story in sports news, I'll check them out to see how they are reporting it. I always end up changing the channel about 17 seconds later. Bayless and Steven A Smith are the two most annoying personalities In Sports media today. It's no wonder you never see either one featured in prime time on ESPN.
-
Bayless could have been a very good sports journalist. Many years ago he was not nearly as much of a dewsh as he is now. For some odd reason, he morphed into the clown he is today.

Things can change dramatically and unexpectedly from year to year .

Who has the better team around him?
On offense? It's probably a wash, Seattle obviously has a superior defense. Other than Lynch, Wilson is working with average talent on offense. No legit number 1 receiver, average and inconsistent O line.

What happened the next week?
They lost a fairly close game at Chicago I think. I'm not sure.

Skip still thinks Robert Griffin is better than Andrew Luck.
He knows its not true.
I don't know that he said that this year, but a strong case could have made for that their rookie year. A very strong case.
-
Fan logic is a mystery which is need of a clinical study.
Is Rivers a better QB than Manning? Is Flynn better than Romo? Is whats his name in St Louis better than Brees? According to braveheartcolt it must be so.
-
Seattle won the NFC West in 2010 at 7-9 then thumped the super bowl defending Saints in the first roound of the playoffs.
-
Seattle isn't invincible if the 49ers are the team marching in there for the divisional round, that's like the only team that I could see beating them up there
The last two times the 49ers went to seattle they got hammered.
-
If one would notice, Skip Bayless acts more polite to a guest when they are face to face. He only talks trash when the player is not there, or through print media. In print he just spews venom.
-
I'm waiting for someone to slap bayless like Jim Everett did to JIm Rome.
-
Don't most married men?
No. I make sure I don't get those flit-boy looking haircuts.
-
I am shocked that something wasn't done yesterday
That hit would have been penalized and the player fined if it had been a QB who took the shot.
-
Tom Brady sure does get some odd looking haircuts at times"
So...ummm Seattle clinched home field advantage?

I'll bet you're the only person on earth who would say that.
