1st Rd: OLB
3rd Rd: Guard
4th Rd: WR
6th Rd: CB
7th Rd: DE
7th Rd: RB/OG/S It can go either way.. WR at fourth because I still believe we'll get one in FA
1st Pass rusher or Guard 3rd Guard or WR 4th WR or CB

If we do go OG I would LOVE Larry Warford, Kyle Long, Barrett Jones, or even Travis Federick.
-
Stop saying any WR will do because all of our WR barely caught anything. WR is a priority but so is the OL so is the OLB position so is CB are MLB core is not perfect maybe one more DE/DT a safety like what people don't understand is that these kind of things take time and its not all going to be fixed this offseason. We have problems but the draft isn't going to fix it all. You have to play the hand your dealt.

Its just a thought something that should be considered that's all man
I'm very please that you will be sorely disappointed.

Amen!
Fair enough. I'll assume that you, along with everyone else in this thread who seem to believe it's either one way or the other do not know what they're talking about.
The only logical reasoning in this scenario is that defense in football is based on the entity of team play. Pass rush is no more important than covering the receivers. Nor are any of these positions any more important than any other position on the defense in a general sense. Remove one, and the rest will fall.
Thus - by logical deduction - cornerback play is dependent on the pass rush, and vise versa. Believing anything else is ludicrous. -
I believe they compliment each other..
sorry Chief but you got it backwards...
-
Off Topic but we should trade Donald brown for a fifth or another sixth.
-
If you are referring to his statement of poor DBs resulting in a poor pass rush, I think they work off each other. Good pass rush = no time for the QB = forced throws = knockdowns/picks, but at the same time, good coverage = QB holds the ball longer since no targets are open = pass rushers get a sack
-
Hypothetically speaking, If Xavier Rhodes or Desmond where still on the board our pick you would pass that up for a receiver? Even though we're switching to a west coast offense? If you don't know WCO utilizes the TE awfully a lot.
CB our biggest need?
-
We are literally a injury away from a disappointing season. Idk about you guys but I just cant and I wont watch cassius play on defense this year.. He would be a GREAT special team addition though.
-
THANK YOU, someone understands.
Yea i would love a corner in the first....cause we are one injury away from cassius vaughn playing
-
I feel like CB is our biggest need. Football is the ultimate team sport and you need good corners to give the pass rush a chance to get to the QB, that's why people think our pass rush was horrible because it was easy to find a open target with our DBs. Imagine if we got someone like Desmond Trufant. That would be the biggest position battle in camp. Just thinking about Laron Landry, Antoine Bethea, Vontae Davis, Desmond Trufant and Greg or Darius at slot! Get chills just thinking about it...
-
With our new west coast offense the TE position will be utilized way more making our pass rush or guard a bigger need. Maybe even corner.
-
YES! we need our own JJ Watt!
Pass rusher and stout against the run, but not at the OLB position. Datone Jones is my pick. Add some extra pass rush ability from the DLine along with Redding and not just from the OLB positions
-
We need a pass rusher though, I think Reggie can brush up a quality receiver in the third round and lets not forget about Jeremy Kelley.. Damontre Moore maybe?
-
If Warmack and Cooper are not there we would probably not go for a guard in the first but if they ARE there I say screw both positions and build a monster starting with the line!
-
I think we go pass rusher for the simple fact that there's way more quality WRs then quality OLB and I think a good one will fall down to us that we can not pass on. Plus I still think we'll trade to get a second round.
-In Grigson We Trust

hes 245
Hardly a fullback listed at 225lbs??
-
Looks like he's more of a receiving FB then "laying the wood on linebackers..."
-
For?
-
I think its something the colts should really consider! We can get that WR in the first, in second round we can get that pass rusher you guys are dying to have (or vice versa). 3rd round I would like andre ellington (chuck always preaches RUN THE BALL and stop the run) vick ballrd and andre would hurt defenses! if hes not there then we go to online in the third (OG). 4th we can get the best corner available. (no 5th) then 6th could be a fullback while 7th could be a center.
-
You don't need shutdown corners when you have a good pass rush, ask Tom Coughlin! First round we draft a OLB wouldn't be surprised if Jarvas Jones drops or maybe Okafor idk whoever is the BPA at OLB. 3rd round we should go WR hopefully Grigson sees another WR that could benefit the offense like last year in finding t.y . 4th we should go OG or C then fifth we probably might draft the best fullback. That would be a good offseason IMO

Special teams and that o line everyone else will be straight
Im all in for a CB in the first.
