  1. Never thought I'd say this but I actually wouldn't mind it. (Except Grasu, horrible scheme fit and no DL until round 7).

  2. I have my eye on him as well

I agree. I mocked him this morning to us in the sixth round:

    http://forums.colts.com/topic/37899-blueshoes-mock-20/

He is aggressive an gets a lot of penalties, but so did Vontae before Pagano worked with him.

I feel as though he is a perfect match for what we do, and the current coaching staff that we have.

I agree with both of you, He seems like a Pagano type DB with tons of potential and upside could be a steal.

  3. I'm really trying to like this draft, I just can't...

I like Goldman, (Justin) Coleman, Wagenmann, Perry.

But I just can't get into it because

    a. Although I love Tartt, Havenstien and (Tevin) Coleman, I just don't think they'll be there at 61, 128 and 93, it's not impossible I just don't think it's very likely.

    b. Heeney and Holliman are off by 2 rounds man, These are the stretches I can't get over. Heeney is a RD3 guy in my eyes and I think he'll go around there. Can't imagine hm available in the 5th. Same with Holliman, Matt Miller says early RD2 is "very possible" I just think everyone is underrating him to the MAX. They'll all be surprised on draft day.

  4. One of my favorite late rounder sleepers, and we have shown interest in (Private Workout). Dominated lower level competition at Marshall. I'd love him any time from the 4th-6th. PFF is raving about this kid. (63rd in mock draft) and had this to say about him:

    "

    Darryl Roberts, Marshall

CFF-profiles-inset-roberts-225x300.pngIf you listened to our Podcast breaking down the cornerback class, you’ll know that this is a guy that Sam Monson really likes. It’s easy to see why too, with Roberts showing an ability to handle anything the coaches asked of him. On top of that he showed great balance and reactions, reading moves by wide receivers very quickly.

If there is a concern here, it would be that I would like to see him attack the ball more on deep passes, instead of waiting for the receiver come down with the ball before trying to rip it free. He’ll see plenty of physical wide receivers on Sundays in the NFL, so he’ll need to be ready to adapt his game to handle that.

Signature Stat: Allowed 0.88 Yards Per Coverage Snap."

  5. Ok you keep bringing up this Eli Harold game so I finally had time to sit and watch it.

    http://draftbreakdown.com/video/eli-harold-vs-cameron-erving-2014/

Where is this utter dominance from Harold that you speak of? This was all in all a good game from Erving, Harold was pretty much a non factor in this game

Not that I wanted to stretch this out any longer, but this really made me laugh. Please watch these gifs and tell me it's a good game still.

Eli Harold easily beats Erving with quick hands, then runs right through him, gets back inside and disrupts, forces and early throw.

Harold just straight out beats Erving with speed, gets to carrier disrupts.

    http://www.draftbreakdown.com/gif-embed/?clip=256704&gif=NippyDearestDikdik

    Very poor, mediocre cut block.

    http://www.draftbreakdown.com/gif-embed/?clip=256704&gif=ImaginativeOfficialHairstreak

Horrible use of length on the edge.

    http://www.draftbreakdown.com/gif-embed/?clip=256704&gif=MenacingActiveBarebirdbat

Way to easy to slide off block in run game.

    http://www.draftbreakdown.com/gif-embed/?clip=256704&gif=PowerfulEnragedHornedtoad

Took Harold like .5 seconds to get off this week block.

    http://www.draftbreakdown.com/gif-embed/?clip=256704&gif=WarlikeElderlyKodiakbear

    Horrible use of length.

    http://www.draftbreakdown.com/gif-embed/?clip=256704&gif=OddballSkeletalBarebirdbat

    Again, very unimpressive cut block.

    http://www.draftbreakdown.com/gif-embed/?clip=256704&gif=VariableInstructiveLamprey

Can't hold this block for his life. Harold basically blows up the play because of Ervings lack of ability to keep him blocked.

    http://www.draftbreakdown.com/gif-embed/?clip=256704&gif=VioletWaterloggedBangeltiger

lol. Thats all I can say way too many things wrong.

    http://www.draftbreakdown.com/gif-embed/?clip=256704&gif=ZestyEnergeticFieldmouse

Just flat out beat off snap, can't use length to recover.

    http://www.draftbreakdown.com/gif-embed/?clip=256704&gif=EnchantedWelllitKestrel

Straight up just beat and can't recover again.

    http://www.draftbreakdown.com/gif-embed/?clip=256704&gif=UniformSpryCanadagoose

Feeling a trend? Beat off the line AGAIN, can't recover.

Are we watching the same game? lol. This was a pathetic showing by Erving and shows exactly why he's gonna be drafted to be a Center and not a OT.

  6. Lol

So the center for the games before he moved to center didn't get injured?

"Starting center Austin Barron broke his arm in Saturday's 43-3 win against Wake Forest and is most likely lost for the year. It was the most serious injury, but far from the only one, for a team that has been dealing with them at a much higher rate in 2014."

    http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/2014/10/07/florida-state-injuries-austin-barron-rashad-greene/16854381/

Don't know how this is false information

And the awards are facts, not debatable

Cameron Ervings first start was Miami week 12, Wake Forest was week 6. Erving made the switch the game after Eli Harold destroyed him. The injury was way before he started to start at Center... He moved because of poor play. That is why it is false information..

The media awards are debatable because they mean absolutely nothing.. They are popularity contests. You understand D'Qwell Jackson, and Andy Dalton were pro bowlers... right? It's the same thing if you wan't to figure out how a prospect plays the only effective way is to watch the tape.. Not looking at awards. That is why it is debatable.

  7. Are you just going to gloss over his USA Today All-American, SI All-American, AP 2nd team All-American honors. It's all in black in white in the previous post

Those are MEDIA awards, usually given to the most POPULAR players. Only exception would be 2nd team All-American, again that DOESN'T make him a All-American. So yes, this is false information.

Skipping over the injury thing I see.

There should be no argument to this, Erving is a horrible OT no matter what "awards" he won. He will be drafted to play C, and thats it. Make up as much false information to sugarcoat it as you want, but watch any tape (ESPECIALLY Eli Harold, or Vic Beasley) it is so clear he's just not a good OT.

"As a junior in 2013, Erving was a first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) selection.[3] He was also named a second-team All-American by the Associated Press. Erving started his senior season in 2014 as the starting left tackle, but was moved to center after an injury to Austin Barron."

Where is the false info that you claim I stated?

BIG DIFFERENCE between First-team ALL ATLANTIC COAST CONFERENCE and ALL-AMERICAN. That is the false information.

Also, The injury was to Barron (starting C), against WAKE FOREST (week 6) and Erving moved to Center against MIAMI (week 12) because the week before Eli Harold literally destroyed him. Nice try, but all of this is still false information, at least you tried to cover it though.

  9. Am I missing something or looking at the wrong Preston Smith? At ~275lbs, he's NOT a 3/4 DE. His only spot as a 3/4 DE would be the 3tech. If his bench test (24 reps) is any relation to his overall strength, he's not nearly strong enough or big enough to even be a 3tech in our front.

Every scouting report I've seen on him (including mine) has his best position at 3-4 DE. He has the size and game strength. He was looked at for a huge senior bowl, 4-3 DE or 3-4 DE and he looked very good and fluid at 3-4DE but stuggled on the edge.
