  1. Just trying to help. You type "Andrew Luck" into the search bar and it immediately brings up all relevant topics. The staff pinned a request for users to utilize this feature some time ago. We've had issues with multiple threads of the same topic.

No biggy but keep it in mind next time.

Yeah I know, I tried that and all i see was stuff related to gary bracket and bob sanders making someone else sick..I didnt see this so I was thinking, Hey! alot of fans really like this kid so I will hopefully be the first to let them know Polian also has interest in him...but yeah then you mention someone else posted it...so its all good though as long as everyone see's it and I understand seeing the same post 2x can get really annoying

  2. I got some tickets to this weeks game right around section 522, row 4..Ill let you know how the view is there...Last year I went to the Jets colts play off game and sat in section 452 and I was happy with the game, but by far the best seat I have had actually came when I went to the Jags game on Dec. 19 last year(the game we needed to win) and I sat in 640..Perfect view its right on the 50 yrd line but its up a ways(even though that doesnt matter much) it was still the best seats I had

  3. I havent seen a forum about this certain topic, however I know there are several out there about this Kid Andrew Luck and wishin he becomes a colts....Well this might be the music all you Luck fans our listening for. He could very well end up in Indy, depending on our position in the draft of course...

  4. Lets just say that we really do end up doing bad this season and Manning doesnt make a appearance this year. Do you think that Polian and Irsay will really take a High Round QB in the draft or do you see them taking more of a high end Defensive player? I was thinking about it at work. Obviously next years draft we need to get a realiable/ potential starter for this team, but we also know how the polians work by trying to take "no name" players and make them work for their name in the NFL. So what if they attempt to take a Qb in the second or Third...would this hurt us or help us? Just a thought, what do you guys think?

  5. Two kicks can also win a game if it came down to it. But I myself not worried to much I mean I think he misses 2 or so more it is over for him in Indy. He is a good kicker and is usually clutch but I dont know this year might be a bit different

  6. I like this forum, We need someone in there that knows the playbook and can audible. Of course our only good picture of painter was during the GB game. But GB is not an easy team to get yards against(look at New Orleans vs Greenbay) a High caliber offense that was fighting from behind the whole game. So I say give Painter a Few snaps or maybe even a Half

  7. I would guess Sims injury is probably some ligament tear or acl strain...it didnt look good at all, but Bracketts injury I just seen him get up holding his shoulder, so hopefullly it was just dislocated or something of that nature,

  8. I see our D getting some of flaws and kinks worked out, go back watch tape, and fix a few issues. I think todays game we had a few busted D plays. it just looked like our DL and LB were not on the same page on a few plays. Offensively I think Kerry will have a good game. He started to shine pretty good in the later part of todays game and I think that will carry over to the Browns game. If i remember correctly he had like 36 attempts and we only did like 18 running plays between Addai and Carter. I say we keep Kerrys attempts at 35-40 range but also give Joe and Carter more carries like 12 to each Back. Browns strong point is defiantly in Colt McCoy and WR/TE..Hillis is good but I dont see him getting that many yrd against our speedy D.

Their Special teams is pretty good to and I think our Special Teams in this game might be our weakness. It will be close and we might even lose, depends I think mainly on our D. This game will be in our D's hands and that can either be good or be bad..We did have two INT's today and a fumble recovery So we do get takeaways just dont capitalize offensively...Kerry improves next week, our D gets a few more take aways and sacks and the Colts win a very tough fought game making our record 1-1

  9. Take into consideration, Kerry Collins hasnt been with this team for a full month yet, and being able to go out there and deliver a win is asking alot out of a new player that is aging and possibly doesnt have the timing down with the recievers...This is not the end of the colts. I mean you have 2 teams going head to head someone has to lose...unfortunately we lost in a bad way( giving up the ball, and lack of D for the first half). Just look at the saints, steelers, and the falcons...All playoff teams that also got stomped today...its just week 1 guys so lets put our big boy pants on and rally behind this team stop crying the season is over when we have 15 weeks left and a chance to get peyton back into the line up before this seasons over.

  10. No body knows how the game would have went with Peyton, he could have thrown 2 or more INT's or 2 or more TD's. We dont know and wont know, What we do know is that our D needs to play better, and our Oline(Link) needs to block better. We cant expect Dallas Clark to block Mario Williams every passing play, when we need Dallas downfield and not blocking. I just think this game was a complete bust, collins looked rusty in the first have but then came out second half looking like a different Qb

Its only week 1 guys, we have 15 more to go and have a chance to get 18 back

  11. If peyton were to retire, we have collins for 2 years, with that said, depending on how collins can handle our offense and compete still...this could be 2 bad years for the colts which lead to hopefully 2 good draft prospects, So we could potential get a good Qb next year have him as back up to collins to learn the offense or give him some time later in the season next year, but heck guys thats lookin to far into the future...before we plan Peytons retirement, why dont we rally behind the colts this sunday and hope for a win...To many fans on these forums are starting to act like the media, writing the colts off for dead, retiring peyton before we even know how his rehab will be. Can we just be the fans of Indianapolis Colts and hope and pray for our team to win! Everyone seems to forget, we have Robert and Freeney at DE, we have Wayne and Dallas, We have Addai( which many will say he isnt good, when really he is build for a team like this). So lets not make this a 1 man sport and bring it back to a team sport, can we?

  12. Knowing Peyton will miss most of this season Im not sure we can make the "BIG GAME" but then again who knows really. If the colts dont make it I say the Packers have a good chance to repeat, or The Falcons make it. As for AFC I think I would like to see the Ravens go, I dont know why the Ravens, but I think they have a decent team and It just seems right if the colts dont go. I guess I could choose the Ravens because, I hate the Pats, Chargers, Steelers, and Texans. Dolphins suck, Cincy Sucks, Jags have no QB, Titans I think need a little more help, and the jets I think will make all the way to the AFC champion game but lose once again. So just my thoughts

  13. Yeah its obvious the media is all over Rogers jock. I mean the best qb in football right now is easily either Manning or Brady(of course My votes for Manning) and I think it could be arguably between Brees and Rogers for the number 3 slot. So I dont get where Bucky things he is the Number 1 qb, unless he was talking about for this season but heck this season is just now starting...its like Chris Collinsworth last night was already naming pro bowl players...I mean cmon Chris this is only 1 game, you cant already say hey they are going to the pro bowl, you kind of have to evaluate each team for a few weeks to make such a bold prediction..

  14. I've been doing this on my website for a long time, and I've posted it on many websites, but this is the first time I've ever posted it here. For those of you who don't know, my initials are AA, so that's why it's Double A, and it's a breakdown. What it is is that I say what the Colts need to do to win, what the Texans need to do to win, the key matchups and breakout players, what I think will happen and my prediction. So without further ado, here's this week's:

Week 1 -- Colts vs Texans

What the Colts Need To Do To Win

Well, there's no Peyton Manning, so it's up to Kerry Collins to win. The thing with Kerry Collins is that you can't rely on him too much, which means we should run the ball more than usual. That means we have to block well so Joe can run right up the gap. We should let Kerry throw 25 - 28 times, and let Joseph run about 30 times. Make it a balanced offense, instead of the old pass heavy offense. On defense, Arian Foster is not looking great, and he's injured; the Colts also looked very good against the run in the last 2 weeks, where the starters played for quite a bit. Now, something that generally looked bad in the preseason was the pass defense, need to stop playing so much Tampa 2, and play more man 2 man. If not Matt Schaub will pick us apart. Arguably, the most important thing that the Colts need to do is block for Kerry. For starters, he can't get hit too hard, because he's 38, and he also needs the protection to make reads and throw some good passes. Anthony Castonzo is a very important player in this game.

What The Texans Need to Do To Win

The Texans need to constantly blitz Kerry Collins, to make him throw bad passes that can lead to picks. Arian Foster is not looking great, so don't overplay. Let Schaub throw 35 times, and Foster rush about 18 times. You don't want to further enhance his injury. The pass defense isn't great, so that's why the blitzing and the pressure is so important. You need to make short good passes; passes that go for 6 yards. The thing with the defense the Colts use (Tampa 2), is that it's very bad against long passes, but good against short. They need to get wins while Peyton is on the sidelines.

    Breakout Performers/ Key Matchup

I think the breakout performer for the Colts will be Jacob Tamme. Dallas Clark may be the starter, but it doesn't mean we don't use Jacob. Jacob was the best TE in the 2nd half of the NFL season last year. I think he has 7 catches for 90 or 100 yards with 2 TDs.

For the Texans, I think it's Brian Cushing. I think he'l come back and come back in a big way. He's going to put constant pressure on Kerry, but at the same time drop back into coverage. I think he gets 8 tackles and a pick.

The key matchup is Anthony Castonzo vs Mario Williams / Antonio Smith aka the left side, right side for Texans. It's going to be important for Castonzo to block those 2 because they want to hit Kerry, and that could spell trouble.

    What I Think Will Happen

I think the Colts go out and win, and win a fairly close one. I'm being serious... I saw what the defense did when PM played badly in the 06 playoffs, they stepped it up. Now Peyton's not here, and they realize that they have to step it up to win. They will, I think Jerraud shuts down Andre, or holds him to 3 or 4 catches. Kevin Walter has 7 catches and beats Lacey all game long. Owen Daniels also has a good game. I think the Colts get beat bad in the first half, but come back in the 2nd, just like Peyton would. I think Kerry throws 2 picks to 1 touchdown and throws for 276 yards. Joseph Addai and Delone Carter have a good game, and Donald Brown goes down with a minor injury that sidelines him for the 2nd half. Addai and Carter combine for 137 yards and 2 TDs. I think the Colts get run over by Foster in the 1st half, but stop him in the 2nd, and that's the difference between a win and a loss. The Colts win!

    Prediction

    Colts 27 vs Texans 23

    Last Time They Played

    2010 NFL Season -- Week 8

    Colts 30 vs Texans 17

I like your breakdown, however I did see where you said Jacob tamme will have 2 td's...but have collins throwing only 1 td? Which is where I have to ask...who is going to throw this second td to Tamme..I agree the colts will win and it will be close. I also say the colts D steps up huge and delivers when it means the most. Im not sure if Arian Foster is going to even play, and if he does not to sure how effective he will be considering his injury is a leg injury. Which would lead me to your breakdown saying he only gets a few touches...18 touches, Im not sure about but 12 or so I can see. So it will be a very tough fought game for whoever wins, I dont see collins being sharp his first few possessions but I think he will come around and get into a groove with our starting wideouts. Looking forward to the game and to see the forums after/during the game!!!

  15. Ok, the new report Manning might be out 4 weeks, now the year and you all are ready to give up. Now the talk "lets get the best pick in next years draft or Andrew Luck". All we now Luck could be the next Ryan Leaf, a total flop. This talk is terrible if you ask me. Brady goes down in 08 and his team rallies behind Cassel to go 11 and 5.

Why not ralley behind your Colts and lets do the best we can in the 2011 season and see what happens before we cry to the high heavens. Geez there is still talent on the team and Collins is not the worst QB in the league. The Colts are going to win games, maybe not 12, 14 but 8,9 and maybe 10 are not out of the question.

Lets get a little louder at home games, lets try to prepare a little more and most important never give up.

My guess would be all the people who are quiting on the colts this early are the ones that jumped this bandwagon back in 03 or 04 when Peyton started to break most records. I have bee a fan for life. I am only 22 yrs old so only really remember the season before faulk left to the rams but regardless I have faith in collins and in our D to bring us to a winning record. I dont think we will win them all by any means but I feel our chances of still ruling the AFC South are good...I mean last time I knew we had Kerry Collins not Jamarcus Russel!

  16. I am really excited just to see how the colts and also the Texans will handle a "Manning-less" Colts team. Im a harcore :coltslogo: fan and I think the cols will chalk up a "W" week 1. I see the run game stepping up and getting some hard earned yards and I think the D will kick into high gear. I think Manning will miss at most 3 weeks, but I also think he could be back week 3.

SO BRING ON WEEK 1: :1colts: VS :texans:

  17. I like the Idea but then again I dont. If this were to happen I can see Dion Sanders right now live on NFL Network right after the super bowl saying Manning doesnt deserve the ring because he did nothing to get the team to the super bowl and Tom Brady is still the best QB ever. Or something along those lines. So Manning would be taking a huge hit from the media but then the media could possibly shut up some seeing that we can do it without manning. So its a bitter-sweet idea. I like for the fact we would win another super bowl and the media would see we can do it without Manning. I'd hate it simply because Manning wasn't a part of the super bowl run and the media would fire back that he isnt as good as he appears or some crazy crap. Lets just keep the Idea that He will more than likely miss week 1 and Possibly week 2.

  18. 1. Wayne

    2. Garcon

    3. Collie

    4. Gonzo

    5. Gilreath

Taj Smith gets cut, but we stay in touch with him incase Gonzo or Collie get injured.

Do you think we will keep Gonzo though, with his injuries year in and year out. He is a good player when he is out there and makes our O that much more of a threat, but he has to be on the field to make us more of a threat than we already are with Peyton and Wayne. I think Brooks gets the PS, all of preseason I only seen one good play and that was his TD vs GB so with this said at best I think he Deserves the PS. Smith I dont know his hands are like garcon and He doesnt have that isnt that fast, but he has his moments and I dont know if that will be enough to keep him..so I think it will look like this

    !. Wayne

    2. Garcon

    3. Collie

    4. Gilreath

    5. Smith
