We have to clear a spot on active roster for Bradshaw; most likely a RB...most likely one with a surname of Varga. Question: Is it within rules to demote a player to the practice squad if he has a concussion? If so, he would need to clear concussion protocol in order to bring up Bradshaw. Just wondering aloud - I don't know the rules.

Something was in the air that night, and I too love the Dead, but it wasn't THAT! I couldn't turn it off - amazing! (BTW if you look at my profile photo closely you will see I am NOT sporting a Phillies shirt...)
-
He's even eligible for the ring of honor, while we are not.
-
Bradshaw had freakish fibula break, getting hit from behind at end of a play (I think) last year. Hardly indicative of being brittle.
-
Brown is a remarkably poor blocker. He's the last back I would want.
-
Maybe I missed something but it sounds like Bradshaw still needs to serve a game: "Bradshaw played the past two seasons for the Indianapolis Colts but was released during the offseason. He would have to serve the suspension if he's signed by another team"
-
We need a RB this weekend and I think Bradshaw has a one week suspension to serve. Tipton ran hard last season for us - a whopping 3.1 yards per carry, I know, but he can be a decent compliment to Gore.
-
Toler has a neck injury - you don't "push through" those.

While the possible 35-17 Bills win does make me chuckle, I do recall attending the home opener against the Raiders a couple seasons ago and we barely hung on against a mobile Terrelle Pryor...of course we have entirely new defensive personnel, but we struggled.

The devil you know is always better than the you don't know, but given Chapman and company was ineffective in the biggest games last season, it might be as big a gamble replacing so many. No one knows - I'd think it would be hard to play cohesively week one, but all teams have changes they will need to adjust to, including personnel and coaching.

Never been a huge Boom fan. He's was a big improvement over TRich, and his 4th Down run against Cleveland was stuffed until he made a spin for a game saver. I guess his shoulder injury sealed his fate, but Robinson was looking good as the #2 anyway. I just hope everyone gets heathy and stays healthy for a change.

Z-z-z-kip

WhIle I agree he is average at best, I don't have a handle on whether our Special Teams are set.
-
Special Teams have been spotty, and a LB addition would likely be at the expense of a LB anyway. May as well look.
-
We're acting like Boom is some All Star! He needs to play.

TE Allen Fleener, Doyle. RB: Gore, Robinson, Herron, Varga.
-
I'm convinced On Varga. Carter was a no doubter all along based on training camp and potential IMO
-
Zurlon Tipton ran hard for us late last season - kind of would like to see him. I know we'd have to keep four and this would mean no Vick, but I'm afraid Ballard just doesn't have ability to stay healthy. Not sure why the love affair with Varga.

If it's some oddball draft and they are both in it, 32 out of 32 teams are selecting Luck. Relax people - it's all to get the pot stirring.

I think you might be mistaken (or worse) - what matters is football IQ, and for that Frank Gore is very bright. I hear Jameis Winston can read a defense very well after two pre season games - he might be a fool as he stand on a chair in the college cafeteria and shouts repugnant things, but he is evidently a smart player which is the point. Closer to home - Larry Bird might come off as dumb, but cue up some NBA highlights and be amazed at his court wizardry. Be careful with quick snappy and harsh judgments - and look in the mirror sometimes and see if that's who you really want to be.

From what I saw last season, Reggie will not make Pats better.
-
If Mewhort limps off the field, I sure hope we don't really see Good trot in, as it suggests. (I know, I know, people would shift around to fill the void...)
-
I'm all for him becoming a Patriot and share a locker room with Brady.
-
Emotions aside, signing Reggie is not what's best for the team.
Any news regarding Bradshaw?

If you demote Tipton (or Robinson), you are left with Gore, Robinson and a likely non game ready Bradshaw at RB. Not a great idea.
