Most people understood on one hand he was an undrafted free agent rookie there for the picking for any team. But because of his obvious potential and seeing how the offense seemed to struggle after the injury to Reggie, Da'Rick offered at least a glimmer of hope. Now how has he done? His single catch against Kansas City was the first of many critical Colt plays in the comeback, so his contributions have been significant based on that one catch alone. I personally think he is still working his way into the offense and is seldom Luck's primary option - not unlike Whalen was just a few weeks ago. If he and Luck continue to progress together, who knows what they might accomplish? But like I said at the beginning, there were reasons he was an UFA, and only time can diminish the doubts.

I thought with significant cap money and free agent signing, the a Colts would be a better team, but I never dreamed they'd match their 2012 record - I was thinking anywhere 7-9 and 9-7. It seemed 2012 was helped by last place ease in schedule from the 2-14 debacle, the knack of winning just about every close game, and the whole Chuckstrong emotional rally cry. After this season, I am thinking we might just expose New England and mark the beginning of their end by taking it to them decisively. It seems out of the realm of possibilities with most national media types, who are too lazy to notice the big blue train rumbling down the tracks.

It's always nice when the journalistic elites screw something up and rely on a hick to point it out: "Those Colts had general manger Bill Polian." A general manger?

Chapman is not a rookie; besides we're in the playoffs so it's late in the season. He's not a pass rusher so he's not eating the QB. But if he can plug the middle up, it'll be a problem for the Pats.

...on his way to a big game in Gotham City.

With injuries and virtually the same record playing in a weak division, I think many are giving New England WAY too much credit. Home field advantage was 1-3 last week. The Belichick mystique is under .500 over the past few tears. Had Denver not folded late, WE'D be hosting as a #2 Seed. Maybe we win this one - AV hitting a winning FG perhaps.

Colts brass should be screaming murder his week...or devise their own pick plays.

If Branch was on the roster this year, maybe. But its a huge stretch to think he's going to help any more than Austin Collie helps them with Peyton. Sorry, but I must be naive ( but that's okay!).Watching tape and charting tendencies is not the same as having someone who's been in the huddle.
The Colts worked out a bunch of veteran WRs. If you don't think they picked up Branch because of his familiarity with ... Braddy ...and BB, you're being naive. (Not you personally, the royal 'you').
Any tiny bit of help.

Every Pats play is on tape as are their tendencies; the personnel is way different this season (no Welker, Hernandez, Gronk); play signals and terminologies have changed (after all, Welker would be helpful to Denver if not )....Branch was signed to help the Colts, but not as a spy.

People get touchy about repeated topics, but it's not like our time is THAT valuable if we are cruising fan forums! It's okay - I prefer to encourage people - welcome aboard; what took so long?!!

In order to try, we'd have to resign him. Doesn't seem Grigsonian to me.
-
Not like they are playing 10 against our 11...he was a leading tackler for them though (as ILBs often are....think of Pat Angerer).

Okay we made Alex Smith look like Emmitt Smith - I don't think I'll worry about that this coming game. But Smith looked comfortable most of the night and basically looked like, well, Tom Brady. So my question - what can we do differently to make Tom look like Marsha Brady?

Weird thread unless it was started by Steeler fan. If so, it belongs on Steelers board. We know the football gods were smiling on us - no need to pretend we're all high and mighty.

A week off isn't always what it's cracked up to be. Teams get out of rhythm, as evidenced by the recent failures of the bye teams advancing. As far as healing and resting, that's exactly what Kansas City did and it seemed they were in danger of not being able to field a team toward the end of the fame. Sure KC was initially in rhythm, but they ultimately came undone just enough to fall short. Here's to the Patriots.
-
I hope the Patriot team is as blasé.
-
Walter Murray. I kid not.
-
After getting picked nearly to death against KC, I worry about Brady and his arsenal of five yard passes and well designed (illegal but seldom called) picks. He can be disrupted if we knock him around early. Personally either would be tough, but I'd rather take my chances with Patriots this coming week. And the possibility, albeit remote, of hosting AFC Championship is still alive.

I think everyone wants to see Manning/Brady, except Colts fans.
I think Manning/Luck would be a QUITE marketable nationally. I'm pretty certain actually.

You want to try opening my monthly credit card statement, too see just how much my wife has blown. Makes that 4th quarter look like a dolls tea party. Honest, it really does....
Ha! You're trip to Indy was cheap? (JK)

It was desperation time, and fourth down! We don't convert, we give them the ball at midfield. I'd say it was a HUGE play - not sure what others are thinking. I too thought TRich got the handoff and was stuffed.

They said they had a lot of injuries, we are missing Reggie, Ballard, Bradshaw, Ballard, and Donald Thomas for the rest of the year. I know Charles got hurt but you can't blame a blown lead on that.
While true, we have had a chance to make adjustments all season. Losing Reggie took us several weeks to adjust - if we lost him yesterday or last night, our future would have been dismal at best. Conversely though, if Charles had not been injured, KC would have played a very difference offense style. All in all, I'll take the dramatic win.

What I like about Rogers are the constant reports that he's among the first in and the last to leave. He has the physical skills of course, but he evidently realizes that alone is not enough by itself. It's a good sign.

Being way down, I found it interesting when the cameras showed Luck on the sideline, his facial expressions were of a fired up, "we can do it" player. Now I think Peyton is the greatest QB/player of all time, but I suspect he'd have been sulking and rolling his eyes at the predictiment. Gotta like Luck as a leader.
Comparing Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck to former quarterback Tim Tebow?

Denver won in spite of Tim Tebow. Colts win because of Andrew Luck.
