Same thing happened to us last week. We missed the Patriots first two drives. Very annoying.

Don't pay any attention to the talking heads. They are the ones who are soft. From what I've seen, you guys are passionate and knowledgeable about your team. Be proud and good luck tonight.

I am not for fans of other teams coming to this board.
It is like someone coming over to your house and talking about how much better their house is.
It takes a person with a whole lot of arrogance to even attempt that. It takes oblivious arrogance.
Fans of other teams who come here to talk about how much better their team is are trolls. Ignore them. We are not all like that.

Really? It's not obvious? There are certain people who revel in seeing others suffer disappointment. The Pats have owned this rivalry for the past 15 years. That's why some Patriot fans hang here.. they feed off the disappointment of Colts fans after big loss at the hands of the Patriots.
Show of hands from the Pats fans here. Honestly, how many of you are hoping for a total beat down tomorrow, including a run-up in score even if a win is secure? Be honest.
I think fans of all teams in all sports want their team to crush their opponent every time they play but like JJ said above, a 1-point win would be just fine.

It is a strange phenomenon. Playing on offense it feels like you are playing downhill. Playing on defense it feels like you are playing uphill. It does seem to be psychological. I guarantee wide receivers get tired quick though.

Boston.com is my main board (as digger) and I visit (lurk) here a few times a week to get the pulse of other teams. This is a great forum with great people. I didn't come here to troll, rather I was a fan of Andrew Luck and wanted to read more. I even made a few friends along the way.
Deflategate has put a wall between most Pats fans and the rest of the team's fans. It certainly put me on the defensive and made it hard for me to come here. I even stayed away for months while the dust settled. Slowly but surely things are getting better.

The Colts have UMaine Black Bear connections! Nice!
- Colts offensive quality control coach Frank Giufre wore multiple hats as the run game coordinator/offensive line/tight ends coach at Maine from 2007-2011.
- Colts offensive line coach Joe Gilbert coached the offensive line at Maine from 1994-95 before being promoted to the role of offensive coordinator, which he held from 1996-99.
- Colts defensive line coach Gary Emanuel is a native of New London, Conn., and attended Plymouth State University. His first coaching job was at his alma mater, where he coached the offensive line in 1981 before being promoted to offensive coordinator/offensive line coach in 1982. He held the position for two years and moved on to coach the defensive line at West Chester University from 1985-86. Emanuel left West Chester the following season to coach outside linebackers at Maine, a position he held from 1986- 88. His final coaching role in the New England area was at Dartmouth, where he coached the defensive line from 1988-91.

The Patriots could still go 3-13, though unlikely. No game is a given. Dallas is a good team and they are playing at home.
I don't know that I want the Pats to go undefeated. That's a lot of added pressure.
Just a thought: If Brady hadn't taken the NFL to court, he would be sitting today while Greg Hardy is playing.

I wonder what the deal with Mayo is. I haven't seen him play.
He was in the game for 17 plays yesterday. He only plays on the base defense.

Other 1st round QBs: Peyton Manning, Andrew Luck, Troy Aikman, John Elway, Eli Manning, Ben Roethlisberger, Philip Rivers, Aaron Rodgers. Are you trying to say 1st round QBs are busts?
I'd say it's about a 50/50 bust rate wouldn't you? My point being teams don't blink on spending a high 1st on a QB who has never played in the NFL yet someone like Garapolo who has had some success in the NFL, albeit a small amount, wouldn't warrant a 1st round pick.
I would have to see more game time experience from Garapolo but I might give up a 2nd or a 3rd for him. He has looked good in garbage duty.
-
1st round picks are reserved for QBs who haven't played in the NFL yet. You know, can't miss guys like Ryan Leaf, Tim Couch, Akili Smith, David Carr, Joey Harrington, Vince Young, Matt Leinart, JaMarcus Russell and Mark Sanchez.

Alright, I've vented about my Colts long enough or licked my wounds anyway. My apologies to my NE friends for going on a minor detour. I needed to blow off some steam. Thank you. I will hang with my Colts & my Giants no matter what hades or high water. I'm not going anywhere. I'm fiercely loyal to the teams I follow year in; year out.
Don't take pity on us NE. We'll get thru this impasse eventually. If you beat us fair & square, I will give your squad the credit you deserve. Your wins vs Pittsburgh & Buffalo are impressive. INDY on the other hand must dig deep, stay together, & just claw & scratch for a single win. Forget the division just try & get 1 victory. Think small not big. Whatever happens either way it will force our organization to ask & answer some hard questions. Maybe this is good just to see what Pagano's staff is made of for 14 more weeks in the regular season.
I'll give Chuck time to right the ship but we cannot unravel against the Patriots or it's over...the fat lady will have sung her final song in the Pagano regime. The best teams are almost always NE, Baltimore, Denver, GB, Atlanta this year, AZ this year, Pittsburgh, & INDY if we hunker down & practice better alignment & assignment gap control on our offensive line.
If we miss the post season, a major coaching change cannot be avoided. Facts are facts. The Patriots put up 40 points on Buffalo & INDY can only generate 14. Sigh...Totally unacceptable to me.
We're here for ya man! Don't forget last year you guys were 0-2 yet went on to win two playoff games. It's way too early. I worry that my team peaks too early and then peters out like 2007. Injuries are the great equalizer.

But when you look at the entire seasons..entire seasons...Seattle plays extremely well at home and are simply mediocre on the road.
Who other top teams do that? Why Seattle
I follow you. All the top teams struggle on the road. Only the Cowboys had a better road record than Seattle last year.
-
Win your home games, go .500 on the road and you will go 12-4. It's tough winning on the road.
Last year the Packers(2-2), Saints(1-3), Patriots(2-2), Jaguars(0-4) and Titans(1-3) started their seasons playing 3 of 4 on the road.
This season the Eagles, Chiefs, Lions and Ravens start the season with 3 of 4 on the road. They will do well to start with a 2-2 record.

He caught a lot of flak here for that hat as you can imagine. And of course the man purse. I am not sure there has ever been a superstar athlete more comfortable in his own skin. I envy that about him in a lot of ways.
Well, he is from the San Francisco area after all.

That's a fumble. Denver ball.
-
Not a good start for my prediction
Peyton is 13-1 against the Chiefs. He's got this.
-
I had Tyler Eifert starting as my flex but at the last minute I put in Andre Johnson instead. I lost by 6.
-
Rex is 2-0 against the Pats at home on week 2.
-
With that defense all Peyton has to do is show up.
-
I think it was U2- bloody sunday at HT
This was special.

I tried putting the Patriots game on my car radio but all I'm getting are the Steelers' plays.

The Patriots don't cheat. There is no culture of cheating. Don't believe the myths, conjecture and rumors.
"We try to do everything right. We err on the side of caution. It's been that way now for many years. Anything that's close, we stay as far away from the line as we can, and in this case I can say that we are – as far as I know and everything that I can do – we did everything as right as we could do it. And we welcome the league's investigation in this matter. I think there are a number of things that need to be looked into on a number of levels but that's not for this conversation. I'm sure that will be taken up at another point in time.” Bill Belichick 1/14/15
