  1. Glad we can provide some inspiration. ;)

I actually had the Pats winning today and losing next weekend so now I dunno.....lol I am usually wrong about NE when it comes to NFC games it seems.

It's tough to win on the road against a tough defense, a tough crowd and tough weather conditions. Brady and the offense will have to play much better at home next week. Maybe Gronk will be able to play. :help:

  2. Yeah it's going to be tough to replace a guy like Wilfork. We'll see as the years goes on.

Despite all the offensive woes I feel the Pats D has been better then I expected. Next weekend vs. the Saints will be a nice test though....one of the toughest games on their schedule for sure.

They threw some rookie in there named Chris Jones and he played pretty good on the D-line.

The Saints will be tough but the Colts wins over SF and Sea give us hope to beat a good NFC team. :)

  3. How did the D look without Wilfork? Is it a huge glaring loss or nothing to worry about?

The Pats offense has been off and on shaky this year but their D suprises me at times actually...

The D played well for the most part. Short yardage plays are where they will miss Wilfork the most.

As for why he wants to play, he said, “It is something I feel like I’m good at. It’s a gift I’ve been given, and I want to maximize that gift. I feel like I have a lot more left to give. If I didn’t feel that way, if I didn’t feel like I have more to give, if I felt like I kind of topped or maximized my potential already, then I’d walk away. ... All I want to do is play football and that’s what I’m doing. So I’m a happy man.”

  5. They keep passing inside the 10 and I don't know why. It has been very frustrating. I hope they get back to the ground and pound. I think they have the best collection of RBs in the league. Although I would give them all up for AP. Have you seen him today vs Pitt? Unbelievable as usual.

I think Belichick has lost faith in Ridley because of his fumbles. He is mainly playing Ridley out of necessity because of injuries to Vereen and Boldin, although Boldin is back now. The Patriots will need a better ground game come Dec and Jan. Getting Vereen back will help out immensely.

I'm watching the London game. AP is the envy of every team. Simply amazing.

  6. So true. Hard to bank on anyone all season because they game plan so specific for each team so different skill guys are used or non-used depending on the opponent. I suppose Welker was money the last few years too but he did not get a lot of TDs just catches and yards.

Exactly and good point about Welker. Curiously, he wasn't a consistent scorer but he was great in ppr leagues.

  7. Welker is arguably the best slot receiver in NFL history. I remember him in Miami. He was always a pest against New England.

I was sorry he left but he's not the first player to leave with gas still left in their tank. See Vinatieri, McGinest, Seymour ...

  8. Squeaked past the Panthers, who have a decent D.

Lost to the Pats, who have a poor secondary.

Not sold. Even if Manuel is half decent, Buffalo is going nowhere, fast. 8-8 at best. I'd love to see Buffalo prove me wrong but they, moreso than the Jets, are masters of finding ways to lose. That's quite a feat.

It's only two games, but so far the Pats secondary have played quite well. Talib and Dennard have really stabilized this unit.
