good god here comes more extreme nonsense.   The Colts biggest loss this season was by 21 points.  There was one loss by 16 points and one by 14.  The other 5 losses were by 8 points or less.

This year is the key word. I cant even count all of the blow out losses (Jax last year) over the past five years. Most of the close losses this year were just awful losses.

  3. Not only don't I understand the RJF hate, I also don't understand why this needed to be its own thread.

I agree & thought he played much better this year. Maybe the OP believes he hasn't played up to his contract as reason for his release? That I could agree with but I still would like to see RJF stick around for next year. Hopefully he keeps improving.

  4. I would be ok with this. A better defense means more opportunities to produce on offense. That can only mean GREAT things for a 3rd-4th-5th round RB.

Same here. A better OL would help tremendously as well. I hope we draft both sides of the line 1st & 2nd round.....As long as it's not a reach and close to BPA. Ballard was 5th round (if I'm wrong my bad) so talent is there in the later rounds for a rb.

  5. More like picked up ~580 yards until Cincinatti where he proceeded to manage 70 yards in the next 8 games while starting.

Agreed and there at the end of the season I was ready for him to shut it down for the year. It was that bad but didn't his production fall off after the arm injury? I thought he looked good in the beginning of the season but was no where close to being the same after the arm injury....Looked like he was playing with one arm. I would like to see Reggie back if "healthy'.

  6. The defense was never good but Luck has regressed. He's turning the ball over too much for a QB in his 3rd year. The biggest differences I see with QB's like Rodgers, Peyton, and Brady from Luck is that he's holding on the ball for too long and doesn't have the velocity on his throws. The ball zips out of Rodgers and Brady hands and Peyton accuracy makes up for it. He doesn't always take what the defense gives him, tries to make the big play most of the time.

He's been a turnover machine this year, it seems in almost every big game he throws a couple of INT's and fumbles. Last year playoffs he threw 7 INT's, has to improve this year. Rodgers doesn't have a good defense either, that's why he has to be near perfect to win. When Luck cuts down on the turnovers, we'll have a better chance of winning in the playoffs despite the bad defense.

When Luck can step up into the pocket to throw his ball has plenty of zip on it! Luck has not regressed imo. He's actually starting to check down to his rb's more here lately. If Luck is still playing like this behind a OL where he is not running for his life every other play or scraping his chin off the grass then I will agree. Luck has no running game either. I agree he is turning the ball over too much tho but I believe that has more to do with what I mentioned above + trying to do it all (he pretty much has to) than regression. Just my 2 cents

  7. Just outta curiosity, what would constitute a convincing win over a dumpster-fire team like the Titans?

By the skin of their teeth on the last two.  Let's not forget, they allowed COLT MCCOY to throw THREE TDs against them when they beat the Redskins.

I agree ColtsRule, why I said in my original post that they haven't been playing good in some time now.

  8. And please, I'm asking nicely :D , can we stop with the IF the Colts were in another division we wouldn't blah blah blah! We are NOT in another division so that's that, it is what it is. What about the Falcons division? Sorry just read it about 15 times today.....Chest hairs gone now. :)  Proceed on

  9. Middle of the pack.. wouldnt be in playoffs of we had a competitive division

The Colts are not as bad of a team as they were today. I had a feeling we was do for a beat down. Can't deny the fact that they just haven't played very good the past couple weeks. The O is very slow getting going (Pep/OL, drives me crazy) D plays good to great vs decent O's but struggles mightily vs the great/elite ones. Hopefully we can get back to playing some good 3 phase football before the playoffs. Love PMac but even he has had a couple bad games lately. I couldn't disagree more with the starting OL unit our coaches are putting out there but I'm just armchair  Start 1st possession with 3 runs, heck yea, down 7...cherry on top please  .....Don't get me wrong I'm all for establishing the run but c'mon man! Having said all of the that I still have faith that maybe somehow Andrew can still will us to a victory or two.  :blueshoe:  :blueshoe:  :blueshoe:  :goodluck:

  10. My point was that you said almost the exact same play was a trip, in the other image. Never mind you missed my point entirely.

I'm just giving you a hard time BpG :D But I don't think those 2 plays were similar AT ALL. TRich should of stayed right tho as cutting back to his left allowed the defender to half way get up & stop him long enough for his teammates to help out. Like I said I expected better out of T & I never agreed with the 1st rd pick but "hopefully" he will turn it around next year. If not then I'm on the "Bust" wagon. His vision & awareness MUST improve....Almost like he is thinking too much & just dancing in the backfield when he's not being hit 2 yards behind the LOS.

  11. You cannot be serious?

Oh my god, the Richardson people just can't admit he is just not good.

I guess this is also a "trip" then right?

I will give you that he should of stayed going to his right. That is my biggest problem with him right now is his vision/awareness. I "hope" with some good coaching he can improve and start making some better reads.

YOU cannot be serious!? That is a GOOD wrap up leg tackle, then gang tackle! C'mon man don't come with weak sauce! You got to have a better example than that?!?

I thought he would be good & so far I've been wrong but I still hold out hope for one more year....If he's not producing by then than I will eat my crow but the Colts really need him to step up, play good as it does nothing but help the team. So yes in that regard I am still CHEERING for him to succeed. He is a Colts btw. I never root for any Colt not to succeed let alone bash him EVERY single day......GO COLTS :blueshoe:

  13. If he improves on both vision and decisiveness, initial burst out of the hole, and avoids being taken down by a hand.......

Then we will hopefully see the Trent we all hoped for.

Maybe he should talk to Jim Brown some more? I don't know.

Sorry but that is A TRIP......

  14. Rogers does need to work on his route running but for a rook its not to bad (once him & Luck get on same page, watch out!).....I know he only had 2 targets (I don't agree w some that say he can't get open) but Rogers was HUGE in getting TY open and going early on those short slants to start the game which in turn opened up the big play at the end imo.

  15. Browns production was always right in line with his backfield teammates all the while playing behind a poor offensive line. TRich's rushing numbers behind a poor offensive line, on the other hand, are well below his backfield teammates.

So it was ok for Brown to be right in line (which imo has been below average at best since the SB run) with his backfield mates & poor offensive line but TRich isn't allowed any time to jell with new team, bad line, new O, coaches, scheme, etc...? I do realize you said he can improve next year but I've been seeing it the past 2 games. Last game vs KC it seemed like e/t he got the ball he was having to shake at least one tackler in the backfield. By no means do I think his production has been stellar up to this point but I'm seeing small steps in the right direction. I do feel that Brown & Trich make for a good duo coming out the backfield. By no means am I bashing ya Blood :D  just really pulling for them both to succeed, only helps the Colts :blueshoe:

  16. If his name was Delone Carter and averaging 2.9 yards a carry I highly doubt I would have gotten a "sigh". Richardson has kinda stunk so far, but that doesn't mean he can't improve next year....but I don't wanna bet on that without Brown.

    And Brown always showed promise.

Let me start by saying I really like what Brown is doing this year...I also think TRich has shown "improvement" this year (past couple games). Brown has always shown promise? He's played ONE full season and ONE season over 4ypc until this year. Maybe Brown benefits from TRich too?! Brown broke off that long catch & run AFTER a few series of TRich pounding the ball. Just my 2 cents....GO COLTS & Go Brown & TRich :disco:  :blueshoe:

  17. He's playing because they want to split the work, that was the plan all year, just with different backs before they got hurt.  He's also playing because they blew a first round pick on him.  I'm not too sure if given an equal opportunity that Choice wouldn't put up at least the same numbers as Richardson to be honest.  He does a good job in the passing game and sometimes in short yardage, but other then that it is brutal to watch him out there.  Brown is just the better back for this team right now.  He sees the hole quicker, and hits it quicker.  Richardson to me just looks slow. And that was the complaint i remember reading from many Browns fans when we made the trade.  I figured it was sour grapes, but i'm starting to believe now.

Usain Bolt would look slow if he's being hit in the backfield....Constantly. Trich is a bruiser, needs room to run. DB is a scat back imo who can get thru those little holes. DB has shown more ability to break tackles this year & is staying healthy "splitting" the load. IMO TRich needs more carries/different looks/scheme (next year) to get going but I like the way the coaching staff is using them both, its working & colts are winning!! :disco:   :blueshoe:
