  1. I know we have a ton of cap space, but it'll go very quickly if we start overpaying for the premium guys. And let's face it, most of those guys stick with the team and system that they're in. The FA moves I'd like to see are:

    1) Gosder Cherilus, RT, Detroit. Yeah, Justice gave us a great return on the very small investment we made in him. However, he was hurt half the year, resulting in Linkenbach starting. That can't happen! Plus, he was only "adequate" when he did play. I'd get Cherilus as a Plan A, re-sign Justice to be Plan B, and Link can be Plan C (if he returns).

    2) Mike Jenkins, CB, Dallas. We need another legit starter. I think Butler, Vaughn, and Gordy are all FAs, so bringing them back is not guaranteed. Butler may have done enough to have some team sign him away, but I expect Vaughn back at least.

    3) Antoine Caldwell, RG, Houston. This is a value move to shore up the interior of the line. I'd rather have Luis Velasquez of SD, Brandon Moore of NYJ, or Ramon Foster of Pittsburgh, but many of those successful guards would just as soon stay put. Caldwell lost his starting job after 6 weeks, and they have Brandon Brooks waiting in the wings too. So Houston won't try too hard to keep him and Caldwell should be happy to jump to a team where he can start.

Indy's FAs that we should try to keep: Avery, Justice, Moala, Antonio Johnson, Vaughn, Butler. Ricardo Mathews, Linkenbach. I think all those guys are UFAs...

The caldwell move wouldnt work, he plays in a zone blocking scheme if im correct and as Gavin said earlier, Cherilus is not strong enough, and we dont want to see him get linkenbacked

  2. I saw all of them. And I'm not happy about any of them. Remember, I'm a Luck fan.

I've also seen drops from Fleener and Hilton and other receivers too. Avery still has value and he's inexpensive. And I think he'll be inexpensive next year too. You need players like that across your roster. Even with the flaws they have.

Instead of giving avery a spot, why not letting hilton or brazill get some more throws, fleener and hilton are both rookies, they can get better

  3. You know and this is a complete long shot I would call Arizona and see if there is anyway you can get Fitz out of there if they are starting over. I want to say there is probably about a 0.00000000001% chance this could happen but a WR line up of Fitz, Wayne, Hilton, and Brazil with Fleener and Allen at tightend will strike fear into any defense.

That shish cray but id love that although it will never happen

  4. RD 1: Warmack, Cooper, Jones, Matthews, Lotulelei, Jenkins, etc...

(A few teams will take a chance on a random player... QBs or otherwise)

    *

    RD 3: Dri Archer, Warford

    RD 4: Rambo...Kenon Varner

    *Trade up if possible...

    FA: Long OT

No way lotulelei falls out of the top 10, i dont think grigson will look to trade up this year as we dont have second or fifth round picks

  5. Yes, DeCastro fell to 24th.... the difference is, last year was a MUCH stronger draft.

This year there is no Luck, RG3, Richardson... there's no corner worth the 6th pick like Claiborne, or a safety worth the 7th pick like Barron. Then Tannehill went 8th.

There are no special players to push Warmack down to the 20's.

Colt's fans expecting that are like the fans who wished for Indy to go 11-5 this year. What are the chances of THAT happening?!? No. Wait. (I hope people realize I'm kidding here.... right?)

Well... you get my meaning....

No luck or rg3 but there are plenty pass rushers and many teams will reach for quarterbacks
  6. He won't get drafted nearly that high. Decastro was a top 5 player last year and went 23. I could be wrong but I could see Warmack falling to the cowboys @ 18

I wouldnt be a fan of drafting a guard in the diest round, but if a talent like warmack falls, grigson should take him without hesitating, unless a pass rusher falls too

  7. Warmack isn't worth giving up multiple picks for. We stay put and draft the best player available when we pick. We are rebuilding.. We're not a team that's one offensive guard away from a Superbowl.

Agree with you, BPA ftw, id love to see a pass rusher OLB/DE fall to number 24

  8. I like these lists a lot.... but would make several additions/changes.... some of which will be unpopular around here...

    -- I'd keep Vaughn, he's a decent back-up....

-- I'd keep Geathers and Guy.... long-term projects... Grigson just spoke highly of Guy in an interview this week.

-- I'd keep Avery. I've seen people say they want Wallace/Bowe for Avery. Clearly both are better. But there's a cost factor. Both will likely cost $9 Mill per year for 4-5 years. Avery is likely to cost $1.5-2 Mill for 2-3 years. Wallace/Bowe may be better, but I don't think spending $35-45 Mill for them is better than $3-6 Mill for Avery.

If Grigson is going to spend $35-40 Mill on a player, I think it's either going to be for an OL or a pass rushing OLB. Otherwise, I don't see him spending that kind of money. Not cost efficient.

    That's my read of things....

Didnt you see avery's drops today?
