I think we may be lucky. This is a nice deep draft at wide-out. Do you have any favorites other than the ones that likely will be taken? What round (s) do you think we would grab the WR? Best available by round???
AJ Jenkins in the fourth or Chris Owusu
-
"the other Gronk" is a FB not a TE...and Snow is our long snapper, not really a TE either...Hill was basically signed to fill a roster spot last year and Eldridge is always hurt and is a blocker, not a pass catcher. And while i hope we re-sign Tamme, unless youre his agent and know something we dont, you cant say for sure that he'll be back, especially since there has been absolutely no talk from either side about it yet.
Derrick Epps is in the PS I believe
-
1.andrew luck QB
2.coby fleener TE
3.lamichael james RB
4.aj jenkins WR
If the rest of the drAft is a developmental NT, a physical corner and some depth to the front seven, Id be happy, of course you have to get a veteran CB and a fa NT
-
Odds are he's going to be resigned...
If it aint for cheap then I rather get Fleener inthe draft
-
Unless you have some inside information that the rest of us dont have, the Colts do not have Tamme and are not good at TE...he is a free agent...so Eldridge is the only TE we have under contract, that im aware of
I believe Justin Snow can be used as TE
-
In the case that the top corners are not there, Id get our new QB a best friend, Sanu or Hill or Fleener or Wright, somebody has to fall
-
I like the draft except I don't like Hanna. The Colts already have Tamme. I'd like to see them spend it on a S that could provide depth if either of our starters get injured or spend it on a OL to get depth there. We're good at TE. It's a nice draft though, similar to mine
I don't think they resign Anderson, he's expensive for a mediocre guy and doesn't fit our system. Wheeler does not play OLB, he would play ILB. The Colts should also resign Lacey as he's a good nickel cornerback. Ollie Ogbu should be sent to the PS too. Volek isn't a good fit, bring in Charlie Batch. The Colts also have Darren Evans who's pretty good and will make the roster.
I actually agree with you, well all I can do is learn from the more experienced like you and others

I don't see it possible for Janoris Jenkins to fall to the 2nd round at all. He's pretty much made himself the 2nd best CB in the draft at this rate because Kirkpatrick hasn't done anything to overtake Jenkins the past month. Overall a pretty good draft, but with the 2nd round pick I see us going to a WR or DL.
Id get the best CB available in the 2nd

"He got rocked...and the ball rolled"
Hmm, a fellow madden player?
-
why would we carry three qbs?
I wouldnt but since we got a veteran backup he could teach a young quarterback what he knows and he could replace him as the backup when his time is up
-

Try not to be mean, first time I've done one of this and Im 13
-
well he´s an immediate upgrade on defense and special teams
-
If we are LUCKy a quality cornerback or a good wide receiver/tight end(Fleener) will fall to our laps at 34, but since you can easily find good wide receiver talent in later rounds I say grigson should get the best cornerback available to pair up with Powers, I say thats one of the biggest needs
-
there are other needs more important than center, for example wide receiver or nose tackle
-
our line could be very stable with castonzo, reitz, kirkpatrick, mcglynn, a.q., justice, ijalana
-
Jean-Baptist would be good.. I like Aikeem Hicks great athlete probably 3-5 th rnd I like Josh Chapman Alabama he is projected 6th rnd in bleacher report
I like chapman in the fourth
-
Who are they? I like Donald Brown but I want somebody like Darren Sproles. It would just add more of that hope to the offense with Luck.
If only we had that with Peyton. We would have been Super Bowl winners every year.
There are other needs more important than Running back in the draft
-
The fact that the Colts are switching to a 3-4 / 4-3 hybrid D means We Need a NT
I wouldnt go for a NT early in the draft, Id rather get Chapman in the fourth and sign an experienced free agent for cheap and develop chapman and next year get a NT early
-
redding and justice changes numbers
Because Castonzo and Freeney were here first, whats you say should be done, unless freeney gets traded or released, which I highly doubt
-
Luck - no explanation
Ashlon Jeffery/stephen hill/kendall wright- explosive WR still need help even with Reggie
Chase minnifield - need a corner and a dynamic returner
Josh chapman - we also need a NT
Cliff Harris -troubled but talented corner
Chris Owusu - might as well for some fimiliararity
Comments?
1st Luck QB
2nd Fleener TE or Sanu or Jeffrey or Hill or Wright
3rd Minnfield CB
4th Chapman DT
5th Allen SS
6th Molk C
7th Owusu WR
-
Tamme is likely to be resigned. Only if he isn't resigned it's worth going for TE. This TE class overall isn't that good in comparison to years past. There are better players than Fleener that are likely to be around.
If he is resigned then I think the Colts should grab the best CB available, the on that slips out of the first
-
Two years ago he played against LSU defense and he did pretty well actually, but one game is not enough
-

I say we should go safe and try to get Paul Soliai in free agency and draft a NT in the middle to late rounds for him to mentor
