  1. I have been a Colts fan all my life. Been to a few games at the RCA dome when we lived in Chicago. You guys are lucky to be living close to the team you root for so you can attend a lot of games. I am jealous.

Are season tickets available or do you go on a long list and wait years?

    thanks,

One way to shortcut the waiting list is to buy directly from a season ticket holder. The rights are transferred to you and you become the proud owner of season tickets. The official program is here: http://colts.strmarketplace.com/

  2. well we are now the worst team in the league, WOOT, we are leading the luck sweeptakes for sure, I really hope we lose more so we can get another solid 10 years of super bowl attempts :)

Actually we are 26th right now but the Monday night games will change that slightly. But 28th is as low as we could go this week. Sorry to disappoint but you're suffering a lack of luck in the Luck Lottery.

I don't get why everyone is so hung up on being beat by the Browns who got beat by the Bengals. For one, the Browns and Bengals always go back and forth because they are division rivals, kind of like us and Jacksonville no matter how bad they are. So yeah, big deal, they got beat by the Bengals. And apparently long term memory is in short supply because over the past few years we've struggled with Cleveland no matter how bad they were. Yes we won those but barely (10-6, 13-6, and 9-6 Colts-Browns) [<-- Not necessarily in chronological order].

Am I trying to say we played well? No. But we are improving. And I believe we will continue to improve enough to knock ourselves out of contention for dead last. I think that victory will go to the Chiefs who have been outscored 89-10 so far.

  3. The Colts loss their home opener (in a week where they were supposedly playing with a chip on their shoulders) to the team ranked last (32nd!) in the NFL.....

    NUFF SAID!!

Not saying you're wrong about Cleveland's rank, but I don't see how they could be last coming into this week when you look at the Chiefs' and the Seahawks' abysmal performances.

Overall I think the team improved dramatically over last week. But it was easy to see the Defense was tired by the end of the game. Thought they played well for three quarters though.

The offense still misfired several times but I saw some things to be encouraged about. We actually went no huddle a few times which I did not expect at all. I noticed more audibles called which I didn't notice at all last week. Almost seemed like we ran whatever play was called last week no matter what.

The redzone is really my biggest concern. Twenty eight points instead of twelve would have put the game away. But my friend at work who just moved here from Tennessee a few months ago informs me that Collins wasn't exactly stellar in the redzone there either. The run game is going to have to improve even more to make redzone scores touchdowns instead of field goals, which can happen if we replace Linkenbach.

I can't decide who to fault on the touchdown in the corner of the endzone. It looked as though Powers started to move up to contain McCoy's scramble outside the pocket which left the open man due to Bullit floating toward the middle of the endzone. So was Bullit suppose to provide help or was Powers suppose to stay in coverage?

  4. 1)We're switching to a 3-4 and it will take 18 months to get all the right personnel.

2)Caldwell's contract is up and we're hiring Bill Cowher to properly run the 3-4.

3)Indy is getting a team for the lingerie football league that will play in Lucas Oil Stadium beginning 18 months from now.

18 months is a long time to keep fans in suspense with a tweet like that. More than likely a coded message for us to try to decipher to take our minds off how bad it is now. lol

  5. this will be one painful season to watch if peyton cant go, but if this season puts us in position to draft andrew luck then ill take one bad season compared to the many we would have when peyton retires.

OK. This is getting ridiculous. Even if we could draft Luck, where would the money come from to pay him? A top five or even top ten draft pick is going to demand a lot of money. From what I understand we started this season $7 mil under the cap before signing Collins. Both Reggie Wayne and Robert Mathis are up for contracts next year. And both want more money. Hughes has yet to develop into a player that can fill the void if Mathis walks, so we have to give him what he wants and pay him more to keep him. Gonzales has been a liability in terms of health. Garçon doesn't have the hands of Wayne. So we have to give Reggie what he wants and pay him more to keep him. And then there's the cushion we keep for emergency signings. So what's left to pay a top five draft pick?

And how would we suck for many seasons after Peyton retires? His retirement opens up $16 mil in cap space that we can use to get more good players. Even if we did stink it up after Peyton retires, it wouldn't be for more than a couple seasons since we would end up with a couple more top ten draft picks to lead the team again, kind of like the Peyton and Edgerrin drafts.

  6. Why would we keep him. Addai, Brown, james, Carter , and Evans are better than him. Could this mean we're trading Brown or Addai...? Thoughts on his retaining, and the possibility of a trade?

Please tell me you're kidding. Yes he failed at the return position which is what some seem to focus on. But he was far from the worst RB we have. He was arguably the third best back we have. I say arguably because he and Evans were very similar. But most fans seem to favor Evans. I suspect that has something to do with the hometown hero sentiment. But you need not worry about it this year. We put him on IR so we can keep him for next year.

  7. Lacey was doing the same thing last year in regards to how much cushion he gives. I never understood it then and I still don't understand it now. I wonder sometimes it if has to do with his size and strength. Would he really be able to jam a receiver at the line and then recover fast enough to cover the route? On the other hand though it's almost as if he likes to sit back and try to jump the route, which he did successfully a time or two last year, but not enough to warrant all the first downs he gives up.

We'll never know really whether it's him or the coaching. But one thing we do know is something has to change.

  8. I for one believe that Reggie is in full support of Painter. If he wasn't then he would of made a more general vanilla type statement saying something along the lines of the decision being what the staff thought was best and that he has to be ready to play no matter who is in.

And for those that think Kerry Collins is our savior you are quite delusional. Our line and run game, while improved, are not strong enough to carry him. Without a run game his performance is quite mediocre at best.

  9. Interesting stuff, but there is no way the OL he mentions is going to be the starting OL way to young. I predict that Pollack & Devan start as Guards. Thomas wearing 21 is a joke. Total disrespect to Sanders!!!!!!!!

lol If Bob was that great we would have kept him. We didn't. So no it's not sacrilege for someone else to take his number now that he's gone. Get over it please!

  10. I keep wondering why we haven't brought in a good solid vet run blocker. We need a vet to mentor these new draft picks that are suppose to improve our run game. Because I really don't see how a group of linemen whose primary success (if you call last year a success)is pass protection can mentor a group of new guys how to run block. Yes the coaches can train and teach them. But the little things that make the difference from being average to being good are learned from someone whose been there and done that IMO.
