For 2 weeks straight, Atlanta's offense will be made out to be the 1999 Rams, and their 27th ranked defense will be "not all that bad".

The Pats should have no problem with them whatsoever. This isn't the same as the 15-1 Panthers team last year who actually had a top ranked defense. Defenses are winning championships these days, and the Pats have a much better defense this year than Atlanta or any NFC team in the playoffs did.

I am tad worried about the Packers injuries + the media is now saying Rodgers has the flu but I am still rolling with them.

IF HE WINS, this can go down in history like the infamous flu game in the NBA.

    Pats/Steelers is impossible to pick.

Falcons/Packers I'd pick the Falcons if it weren't for the coaching thing. If the team doesn't respond to Shanny's exit it could be a cakewalk for the Packers who always get these types of breaks.

I picked the Falcons cause I've been so wrong so far but damn, I really want GB to win. If the Falcons go home, my weekend is a success. Shanahan's job hunting could be a distraction for them, but their defense is also horrible. Maybe Rodgers can light them up like he did the past few weeks.

This thread is hilarious. Gruden isn't going back to coaching and your owner is dedicated to the two problem makers who are running his franchise in the ground. I'm sorry, you're stuck with Grigson and Pagano for another year, or "Grigano" as that hilarious rant accurate video called them.

This is like 'what if" fan fiction right now....

I hope they do well there but I see a problem.  It's very diverse and though the Chargers were there in 1961, the younger generations weren't around.  The Raiders, who are in also in the AFC West, have a large LA fanbase.  The Charger fans could be greatly outnumbered at their own home games.  Also, it may take a strengthen a fanbase.

They were only in LA for one year. I highly doubt this is going to strengthen their fan base. Winning championships is what makes fan bases grow. Just look at the number of bandwagon Dallas and Pittsburgh fans all across the nation. The Chargers have never won anything, which is just enough good reason for people in San Diego not to waste their money at their games to go see a bunch of losers. A lot of Chargers fans burning their memorabilia and calling the team losers, are completely justified. That's hard earned money, wasted on a crap team.

This has nothing to do with the fans. The NFL owners are greedy rotten billionaires that strictly do not care about the fans whatsoever. This is a cash grab...It's an easy cash grab rather than a long term solution.

The LA market was a disaster in the 90's for the NFL and it's going to be an even bigger disaster now with two garbage teams there. No one likes the Rams and no one likes the Chargers. Just greedy owners with money signs in their eyes, and enraged at cities who refused to fund new stadiums with tax payer money.

Who's bragging about 8-8? I am sure not but my point is, a lot of people in here sure want to point out what Coaches have accomplished years ago but when it comes to Chuck the same people don't even acknowledge what he has done from 2012-2014. I think Payton is a better Coach but he hasn't done that great since 2009 when he won a SB, Harbaugh has also missed the Playoffs 2 seasons in a row. Harbaugh isn't all the great without Ray Lewis and that top notch Defense is he?

You must be forgetting something if you think 2009 was some miracle run and we haven't had success since then...

    2010 - 11-5

    2011 - 13-3

    2013 11-5

The Colts under Pagano in their 11-5 seasons went 6-0 playing the worst division in the league, and then split 5-5 with the rest of the NFL. They've hit a brick wall since last year when the division began to improve and a good time rose in Houston who wasn't afraid of them anymore.

He has a 20-24 record playing teams outside the AFC South.

Payton has boasted a top 5 ranked offense every year he's been with the Saints since 2006. Pagano's job is supposed to be defense but the Colts defense keeps getting worse every year.

What I'm trying to figure out is why Rex Ryan, who's Bills ended with the same record as our Colts, got fired despite having a lesser talented QB and despite Rex being with the team for a shorter span of time.

Rex inherited a top 5 ranked defense when he came to Buffalo and they gradually declined every year. I'm sure that is the reason he was fired. They went from a top 5 ranking down into the 20's in the years in all his seasons.

Who knows but reports post game are that Odell banged his head against a door and punched a hole in the wall.

    HEADCASE.

And earlier this year he beat up on a poor innocent net at a game.

    Total baby.

Too bad that poor wall can't fight back...

  9. Yes.

It's the playoffs and you spend your week preparing by taking a flight down to southern Florida to party it up at clubs and go out on a boat? You don't see the Pats or Packers doing this. You celebrate after you win it, not before.

The Giants acted incredibly arrogant before this game. Trash talking the Patriots about how they didn't want to see them again. The comments about Green Bay too. Just cause you beat both these teams in '07 and '11 don't mean nothing now. It's a new year, and you don't have any of those same players from those old teams, so forget bragging. It was proven that the Giants defense this year was incredibly overrated. This wasn't the defenses of the past.

Odell dropped 4 passes in the first quarter that cost the Giants. They could have been up 14-0 early on and dominating that game.

Tavarres King had the best game yesterday of the Giants receivers. Guess what? He was the only one who didn't go out to Miami to party on playoff weekend. :mindblow:

Odell is a locker room cancer. I'm starting to wonder if Coughlin left because he didn't want to put up with this anymore. Odell revealed himself to be a punk the minute he rammed himself helmet to helmet into Josh Norman last year. If you watch the Giants regularly, he was getting fined back and forth early in the season for slapping around defensive backs and getting into shoving matches with them.

Kicking nets, punching holes in walls, I hope the Giants keep this guy forever. He offers great headlines when they lose.

If Gruden was Colts coach instead of Dungy I bet Manning would have more than 1 Super Bowl here as well...We wasted Manning, now we are wasting Luck...

Go look at Gruden's playoff record. He inherited a team Dungy built, who had a much better defense than the Colts. One that could easily go down with the ranking of "historic defense" and Gruden never won another playoff game after 2002.

You should go talk to Tampa Bay fans about Gruden. They'll tell you how great of a coach he was that he ran their offense in the ground and lived solely based off a defense that Dungy built.

Dungy gets such little respect around these fans, it's pretty sickening. Take him away, and Manning don't get a ring at all with the Colts.

People talk about what some Coaches have accomplished years ago and defend them but when it comes to Chuck 2012-2014 didn't exist lmao

Because it was 2 years ago and bragging about 8-8 isn't much for a team that used to go 12-4 every year and automatically win their crap division.

For the love of God will you all stop comparing dummy Chuck to coaches way better then him. Sean Payton and John Harbaugh both already had a SB ring at this point in their careers. Also John plays in the tough AFC North while the NFC South hasn't been great it sure hasn't been AFC South bad. I know this is just a thread to defend this * regime but damn excuses have to stop somewhere.

Giants and Packers worries me. Been pulling hard for GB but they are terrible vs. the Giants in the playoffs. But, they are due and if they are to do it this is the time.....

I think I am most curious to see what happens to those two teams since I always felt the winner of this game along with the Cowboys are the best bets to win the NFC.

GB should've tanked to Detriot and took the safer route to Seattle. I see no way they get past both the Giants and Cowboys alive...and if they do, not counting the NFCCG, I just don't get how they would beat the Patriots. Right now, I don't see how anyone in the NFC can really stop the Pats....

Everyone is going to take this post and tell me how Rodgers is so great and the best quarterback ever, but Rodgers a lot of times does not perform well against great defenses that can close up the windows down field and blitz him. We've seen this time and time again where he'll just stand there and take sacks or throw out of bounds rather than risk trying to force the ball in tight windows. He had major issues with Dallas in the season and playing the Giants is going to be the first time that GB is tested against a serious defense in a long while. Seattle don't really count cause they're terrible on the road this past year.

Another point, and to everyone picking the Packers to win it all - what about that secondary? Every year in the playoffs, GB ends up getting torched by some really good team. Kaepernick torched them back to back in 2012 and 2013, the Seahawks weren't scared at all to throw a hail mary on them in 2014, and last year was probably the worst when Fitzgerald burned them on one big play.

Giants have Odel, and Dallas has Elliot and Dez....I don't see how GB's defense is going to survive them both.

Cleveland is going to be a basketball town officially in 2017 if it's not by now. Don't see why anyone would want to waste their money on the Browns when they have the best player in the world starting for the Cavs. The Indians were pretty hot last year too....

Yep...I wish Watt could've played all season, of course. It's been tough with him out but the show goes on. Thanks for the support man. :)

You have a #1 defense this year WITHOUT JJ Watt.

Don't let any of them on here try to tell you that Watt is your entire team. They proved it otherwise this year.
