That is indeed a massive contract, more than I thought Colts would be willing to pay to be honest.

once anthony richardson showed flashes sunday that was it for jim irsay .  he gave in because he knows the colts wont have to rebuild next year and will be all in .     good move only 26 million is lock in  so if taylor falls apart its a safe deal .

I agree. Richardson  is flashing  mad potential. Granted  he still has his fair share of doubters particularly  Stat watchers who don't watch the game to gain context.

It’s the same thing that happened with josh Allen in 2018 . His passing stats looked average on paper but he flashed in several games .   It’s gonna take until year 3 for Richardson hits his full potential.

Texans have a cake walk schedule. Considering  they smoked the jags in Jacksonville  and blew out the steelers two teams we struggle  with. Then they have the falcons, saints, buc, panthers, broncos jets browns cardinals bengals. I Wouldn't  be surprised  if they won the division.

i think they do end up winning the division , i think we end up somewhere between 7-10 wins .  if we had rodgers and gilmore still i think we are a 10-12 win team .   teams will start passing non stop knowing we have no secondary

    2-2

Honesty, I thought we'd be 1-3 at this point so good start so far. Here are some key notes I've observed so far.

Shane Steichen - I'm not gonna say the team didn't respect Reich, but I just notice so much more command from Shane both on and off the field. You can see he's in control especially offensively, game flow, and from a strategic prospective.

Anthony Richardson - AR has been as advertised. Athletic, poise, electric, and a leader. Down 23 and just put the team on his back. Unfortunately falling short, but imo he is miles ahead of most rookie QBs and I truly believe we have another colt great to be at QB.

O-line - The improvement from last year is night and day and yes having a running QB instead of a statue does help, but they have done a great job so far especially Raimann who has looked like a legit LT.

D-line - imo, they have been the best part of the team. Buck and Grove have been almost unstoppable. Kwity has been a monster. Samson has had some really great couple of games. Dayo was great today. A lot of great things on the line.

Here's what I think needs work moving forward if we're gonna be successful.

Alec Pierce - I'm not really sure what we're doing with Alec. We are not using his best asset which is bodying DBs. Ive seen maybe 5 deep balls to Alec which isn't remotely enough. I get he's had a few drops, but we need to help get him more involved.

Shaq Leonard - I understand it takes time to come back from the surgeries Shaq had and trust me I was not expecting Darius back, but I am getting concerned. I just don't see that instinctive playmaking LB he use to be. I'm hoping with more games under his belt, Shaq can return to his All-Pro level we all expect.

Secondary - I get we went all in with the youth movement at CB and Brents was great vs the Ravens, but I'm concerned with all the miscommunication that seems to happen especially today during OT and now we might have Flowers missing time.

the secondary is the biggest hole and will be the reason if the colts have a losing record .   out side of brents every one else is playing really bad .  the depth at defensive tackle is glaring after buck and grove played limited snaps due to injury .  the whole defensive line looked horrible when the two back up dts were on the field .   we need paye and dayo to step up and turn into stars not just be solid .    wrs we need a legit number 1 pittman is a great number 2 guy but its a glaring hole with pierce doing nothing .

  5. without bias its stroud who is best rookie QB right now .   but richardson has the potential to be mahomes level great in the long run .    there is two scenarios i see with richardson , one is the cam newton route where he gets really good for 5 to 6 years and never really takes the next step as a passer then falls off when he is 30 .    the other is where he develops into a josh allen with 4.4 speed and becomes elite top 3 QB in the league .     i hope its the latter but we wont know until a couple years down the line .

Looking at the Jags schedule next month stroud or Richardson could have a good chance of winning the division and making playoffs. Jags schedule is brutal. Then of course there is always the titans go watch out for.

texans have the easiest schedule by far  in the division its almost pathetic .  i dont see many good teams

I hope we get to see Hall. However, this week it looks like they are rolling with Darrell Baker Jr again.

might be better to put a practice squad player out there .   baker gives me jason david flash backs both shouldnt be on the field

Just bad communication by Moore on that play. Definitely not what you want to have happen there though.

I actually like Jones. He doesn't have the high end traits that Brent's has, but he can play. I wonder how we fill that spot on the roster.

cb is one of the hardest spots to play though .   starting jones is gonna leave tons of up and down plays . we need to add a veteran  cb
